Sitting back against a tall oak tree near a small, barely secluded pond, was the partially disguised mma star badass. Her typical thuggish attire replaced with casual yet decent apparel thought by the average city dweller. Unlike the scene of the fighting ring, or in the raging lights of nightclubs, her expression was currently beaming an innocent smile. And had large, round shades not been obscuring those emerald pools, the shine of that smile would of been enhanced tenfold. But, the badass couldn't let a passing fan recognize her in such a setting as Athen Parks, attending to her friend and pet, Rizzles the Boxer, who was currently plowing her curious nose in a small creature's hole of refuge. "Come here gal, leave tha li'l guy alone."
Cheeks stretched with her growing smile as the dog's short, rounded tail stub wildly fluttered side to side as she barked her excited protest before pawing at the hole again. Lane knew she was fighting hard against her instinct to dig it up and offered a sympathetic smile as she motioned the old gal over, "Ah know, ah know. But ya know Mommy has a soft spot." It was true, badass mma star Lane Shields had a soft spot - multiple ones, actually - and only Rizzles the Boxer possessed knowledge of such a weak characteristic. But, as the tanned gal's muscular neck came and stroked against her affection offering hand, she felt relieved that an unfortunate creature hadn't suffered needlessly. The City had taken much home from the animals of the land already, she figured, and there was no need to encourage further hapless slaughter.
As her bad habit indicating fingers scratched and rubbed at Rizzle's thick neck, her shaded pools redirected to the pond before her. Autumn leaves floated across it's surface and the silhouettes of flying insects could be seen in the illumination of the lowering sun. A scene she almost let drag her into relaxation, her mind thinking of tales to weave in light of the natural inspiration that always came to her when she and Rizzles were chillaxing. But the dogs sudden vibrating bark snapped her attention away, especially as Rizzles hind was flashing passed her as she rushed off, barking wildly and apparently in chase of something out of Lane's sight. "Rizzles!" Mild irritation wrapped around the exclamation as she asserted her position as alpha. Something that generally did the trick, but as her old friends ass disappeared into the bushes and passed the trees into the open park area, she'd give a dismayed sigh. "That little bitch..." a loving murmur escaping her smirking lips, she couldn't help but find amusement in Rizzles' rebelliousness. "RIZZLES!" Her reluctance apparent both in her shouting and in her feet-dragging as she followed slowly in pursuit.
