thief, twenty-five
mo yun is the jade tiger and thief extraordinaire. she grew up in a broken family - but aren't all family's broken these days? her incredibly wealthy father had extensive and numerous affairs within her mother's knowledge. her mother did not divorce her father because doing so would lead to ostricization from her rigidly traditional chinese family. mo yun escaped that life - she ran away and became a thief here in this city. after experiencing supernatural events, mo yun is undergoing a mental breakdown.

a. criminal cohorts
Mo Yun is a thief, and she draws a lot of information from her contacts in the criminal underworld. I'd like to have plots with other characters involved in sketchy or illegal activities. They might have worked together, against each other, or for each other. They might have met with gun/knives drawn and guards up.

b. clients
Mo Yun has to sell off what she steals to someone. I'm looking for wealthy characters who pay Mo Yun for the treasures she stole, or pays her to steal something specific from someone else. Mo Yun would be financially dependent on them, so it would be an interesting bond.

c. good influences
Mo Yun is currently developing in a direction that renounces her criminal behavior (though I am still avid to rp her past). I am looking for characters who can assist this revelation, and give mesome general fluff, to pull her out of the dark world she comes from. I'd like her to find support with a normal, everyday kind of person. Through this ship, she will struggle with her identity as a thief and come to grips about what it means to trust and have faith in other people.

pastry chief, nineteen
ornella is very open, chatty, bubbly, and warm. she believes in comfort food, hello kitty, natasha beddingfield ringtones, and perfect endings. ornella is a victim of hollywood expectations for romance. she see's the world through rose-colored glasses. she wants to have children, and she wants you to have them too, so that she and you can have them grow up together. also, she's a demigod now.

a. dragon egg
her hubby bailed on helping her raise it. justice bellefluer thinks it's been smashed, but she's raising it in secret and could use some help!

b. business competition
a chocolate shop has opened up across the street from ornella's bakery, irrestibly sweet, and the two cafes are now in competition. ornella needs employees, and rivals!

c. motorcycles
ornella's husband is the leader of a bike gang, but she wears the pants in the relationship. if your character is a part of the gang or other gangs, they might know her.

gambler, twenty-nine
damien hurst is the eldest son of an aristocratic british family. he is also secretly in enormous debt which he expects to be rid of when his father dies and he inherits the family fortune. he's in a lot of trouble with a lot of different people because of his debts, and he's really just scraping by as far as his credit goes. he's incredibly lucky he comes from a good home, because his laziness truly make him deserve to be homeless. but as they say, the rich only get richer. damien is in denial that his gambling and spending habits could lead to incredible humiliation.

he's had some affairs here and there. he loves coming across as extravagantly wealthy. it's his favorite first impression on women, and it nearly always wins him a shag.

a. cards buddies
Competitive, half-friends, who only keep in touch with Damien to play cards and smoke cigars. They aren't really friends, just in it for the thrill of money in their hands. It would be cool if they've known each other for a while so they have a slew of inside jokes, and they all like to think they are the luckiest bastard. (Or the unluckiest.)

b. ex-wife wanted
Damien Hurst met his future ex-wife at Oxford University from where she went on to study law. They were in a relationship through school, and a large reason as to why she pressed him into a doomed marriage were because his wealthy father and because he had an aristocratic name that might help her win office. (She is currently a member of the parliament, in fact, and one of the youngest.) However, the divorce's financial aspects have yet to be nailed out, and she might be semi-looking for her husband so she can harrass him for the money he secretly doesn't have because he secretly lost it while gambling. She is two years older than Damien: thirty-one years old.

punk, sixteen
junk is a whole world of trouble. dabbling in pizza delivery, porn tape rental, and drug dealing, he's the kid from the wrong side of the tracks. he's hardly attractive and more of a mess. he's ignorant off the wall, a tough as punk and anarchist.

a. people to fight
When people are Junk's age, they're all split up into different scenes. There's the mod scene, the frat boy scene, the rap scene. Junk doesn't get along with the other scenes ever since he grew into a punk. He needs people to fight and take it out on for no good reason other than they're different.

b. cartoon-obsessed sister wanted
Stick to this outline, everything else is up to you: 1. fifteen years old 2. loves cartoons from her childhood perhaps too much 3. works for ornella bellefluer under the table (begged for the job) 4. also costume and theatre and cosplay obsessed 4. face claim of miwako from parakiss (album) Junk and his sister have many adventures. I think it would also be great if she dated a guy in Junk's least favorite scene secretly.

financial attorney, thirty-seven
isaac kirsch is a hoity-toity corporate lawyer hailing from new york city. he has anxiety problems, and he gets stressed out easily. always having put school, and then work first, he's missed out on a lot in life. though he isn't a virgin, he's never been in a serious relationship because he hasn't had the time. a mid-life crisis is looming in his not-too-distant future.

a. secretary wanted
she knows his life inside-out and upside down, his schedule, the food he likes to eat, and the people he'd rather not talk on the phone with. they have rituals before important court hearings, and share a similar work-aholic enthusiasm for their profession. she loves isaac, but like a brother, and he values her so much for making his life so easy. maybe we add some drama, and put them in a situation that they cant return to their old platonic ways. A foolish night in bed. (:

mafia don, forty-seven
giovanni, or papa, is a hardy old man with a beady eyes and a rough smile. don't trust him. the only people who can trust him are his family, and even then, they might not agree with what he considers to be in their best interest. as the leader of the martinelli family, an italian mafioso syndicate, he's in charge of the majority of the the family's lucrative drug trafficking. He currently has business on the island and is residing in a humble, obscure, and comfortable home in the suburbs.

a. baby mamas
Giovanni has three children: Clemente, Angelo, and Clara. Clara's mother is his wife, and his son's as unfortunate as it sounds for this Catholic daddy, are illegitimate. it would be neat to have Mrs. Sagrada running around Nova Athenis and working out the details of their relationship. Flings and mistresses are also super welcome!

b. dastardly cousins
the martinelli gaggle of cousins are responsible for the majority of the dirty work. they're rough people who hold a healthy fear and respect of their boss. they're rough people - serious criminals italian movie style - capable of rape, arson, and murder.

c. right-hand man/ undercover cop
i was thinking gio's right hand man could secretly be an undercover cop. things would have been set up so that he seemed like a guy who grew up in giovanni's hometown city in italy, had been friendly with one of his brothers when they were young, and interpol had it set up that he'd spent time in jail. poor guy would be scared shitless on the inside witnessing murder, rape, and having to go along with it, maybe even participate, so as not to blow his cover. 

sculpting major, twenty
Wanda's a free spirited artist of the same philosophical veins as Amanda Palmer and Marcel Duchamp. As a native of Nova Athenis, she grew up in a humble suburban home with her grandma and her daddy. She's adventurous, but not talkative, social, but not frivolously so. Kind and strong-spirited, she is a total hipster and she's blossomed in the philosophical, socially aware dialogue that accompanied her college career.

a. school affiliations
teachers, professors, other students, especially ones she might have known in high school because #novanatives. Also, its an embarressing fact, but she was chubby in high school! she had a really long self-conscious period that she didn't get over until she wrapped up high school.

b. granny
the playby is old!sophie or yubaba from the hao miyazaki films. she's whatever you want her to be, but her husband's passed away when they were in their fifties of a stroke, and now, she's in her early seventies. i think it would be cool if she were mildly eccentric and looking for romance.
