Miles turned around to look at the others, almost smiling at the new power he'd gotten. He rushed over to anyone he could and pointed at the monster, "Come on, let's take him down! You heard the goddess.... We could die if we don't."
Though to be honest, he hadn't a clue what to do to take the horror down. He could always scream at it some more, but someone else would have to attack it. And where was its weak spot? So many questions and uncertainties....

Even by his standards, this was weird, far more intricate than even his most complicated nightmares. Or was it a dream? He rubbed at his eyes, and the bird on his shoulder shifted. Its claws dug into his shoulder, padded only by his school blazer and undershirt, its feathers brushed his face. Felt real.
He was standing off to the side, not quite a part of things but very much a part of things as he watched the others, those who seemed to glow with the same power, though they were perhaps more aware of it. Jamie felt strange, stranger than usual, and he couldn't place it. Maybe he'd just passed into a whole other realm of sleeplessness. Rubbing at his eyes, he glanced towards the titan, took a few plodding steps closer.

Paralyzed still by the crackling blue bolts, the creature lay on the ground in a smoking heap. A sickening scent of burned meat rolled off in each wisp of smoggy black plump. However, the burns were rapidly healing. Any other internal damage must have been too. It wouldn’t be long now until the titan was moving again.
They needed to act fast or risk losing the advantage given to them by the celestial goddess. The titan was already beginning to stir. His fingers twitched as if to emphasize this. The visible injuries were almost healed by now too

Aura was getting worried. The creature had been knocked down but now he was getting up again, and things were looking very dire. If nothing happened they'd all be dead soon, but she wasn't very useful for the offensive.
So she kept doing what she was doing, healing people around her as she tried to help them to safety. While it couldn't keep them all alive maybe she could save a few lives...that was good enough for her. Not that she was entirely ready to die herself...
Looking up at the two blue-haired men near her, she wanted to cry. They had powers that could maybe hurt this thing, and they seemed to be lagging a bit. Finally she mustered up her courage enough, and turned so the two could hear her.
"We've got to do something!" Her voice broke mid sentence, but she kept going anyways even as hot tears stung her eyes. "If we don't, we'll die!"

She was right. Just standing around staring at each other wasn't going to help anyone. So, he mustered up everything he could and shouted at the monster, gathering all the force and volume from the pit of his stomach. He screamed at the beast, eyes wincing and fists clenched so tightly that his knuckles turned white and his nails dug into the fleshy meat of his palms, surely leaving behind deep, red and sore half-moons.

Die.
That word was very present, Jamie had seen plenty, blood and guts and exploding heads. At the same time, it wasn't real. Death - heaven and hell, it was all a dream and he didn't know how to peel dreams from reality. Not any more than he knew how to fight demons.
But god, it smelled like death. Sounded like it, knocked his birds right from the air. They fell, molting, and the feathers hit the ground in a cloud of dust, erupting into something entirely different.
There was a shrill scream, a cacophony as the rats, shuddering like mirages, darted between people's legs, twitching and screeching. Some of them still feathered, others with more legs than should be, rushing forward like a plague. Hungry.

The creature—the TITAN lifted himself to his feet, legs buckling beneath him as he did. He didn’t have much of a chance to do anything else.
Waves of sound smacked down at him with hurricane force. It tore at his skin, threatening to shred him faster than he could heal. But it was the swarm of rats that brought him down, not before he sent out a bolt of electricity. It crackled through the air, missing the girl’s cheek by mere inches.
The swarm of vermin continued to rip away his flesh faster than he could heal. He was down. No longer did his wounds seal up as fast as before. In fact, some wounds weren't even healing. This was it. One last attack, one killer blow, and the titan’s destructive rampage would be over.
Rolls: Aura (8), Miles (5), and Jamie (9).

He could smell the static in the air and when it hit his body it stung, but it wasn't overwhelming. He wrapped his arms around himself, letting out a shout at the sudden shock. The bolt might have missed the girl by mere inches, but it hit Miles enough to wake him up better than a double shot of espresso.
That was it. Miles needed to gather up all that discomfort and make it useful, target it at the titan before him and use it to take him down once and for all.
He could still feel the electricity tingling through his fingertips as he balled his hands into fists, glaring at the massive beast as he readied himself. His breathing quickened and he shook as he gathered up all his strength, collected it right at his diaphragm, then let out a strong, piercing scream. Miles closed his eyes, grabbing at the front of his shirt as he yelled out towards the titan, his knees bending.

The attacks weren’t enough. Miles’ attacks hit hard, but the swarm tearing him apart ebbed and he was no longer pinned beneath writhing masses. He was already healing despite the waves of sound pushing him back, sending him crashing into the nearest building. These humans were formidable nonetheless. Even in his groggy state, he could see he would be killed if he stayed any longer.
Body disintegrating into water, he made his escape into the sewers. It would only be a matter of time before he was recovered enough to wreak havoc on the world as he did in ages past.
Creation watched with disappointment. He had hoped to see something interesting from those few humans who were gifted temporary powers from Harmonia. And yet they failed to meet his expectations. He called Harmonia back to her sleeping place and along with her, the powers she had given the mortals. Creation would give them another chance to prove themselves before he lost interest entirely.
Due to member inactivity, the event is canceled. The titan will make a reappearance on another day. For Katze's dedication to this event despite the constant drop of interest, she will receive an advantage in the next event she joins. This advantage will be anything from a re-roll to temporary powers. Thank you for participating in this event.
