It had been a New Year's celebration like any other, or at least Aura had thought. She was out on Main Street, celebrating with everyone else when the storm clouds rolled in. It was nothing to really worry about, or at least that's what everyone thought for a few moments. The air was full of music and bright lights were everywhere.
Suddenly a crash of blue lightening descended from the clouds, hitting a parade float and bringing it down. Everyone began to scream as fireballs came raining down after the lightening strike, and Aura was practically frozen in fear. The only reason she moved out of the way is because the crowd was scattering and she was dragged with it.
The short girl could barely see what was happening when the walls of water sequestered off the area and the strange figure appeared near one of the walls. Only a moment later the water crashed down on the area, flooding the street and whisking the people along with it. She was engulfed by the wave and was deposited a little farther away from her current location but unfortunately closer to the shape-shifting figure.
Her long purple hair was soaked and plastered to her back, and her throat burned as she coughed, having swallowed some of the water that crashed down on her just moments ago. Holding her neck a little and trying to hoist herself up, she watched with fear in her eyes as a man stood up and started to yell at the figure.
Was he crazy?! While she didn't know anything about what this figure was or what he was doing, he was obviously controlling this whole thing and screaming at him about something petty was probably a bad move...and it apparently was, since the figure berated him and sent some winding pillars of water right in his direction.
With the other people around her she scrambled behind them and hid, still holding her throat and still coughing, unable to stop trembling with fear. She had no idea what was going on but Aura was slowly slipping in to survival mode, though she couldn't help but be terrified.

While he was able to ignore the insane cackling in favor of being the helpful young man that he was certain would even make his parents proud of him. Well, that was until he had suddenly decided that it was an every-man-for-himself ordeal and instead backed away from the crowd. No, he wasn't going to put himself in danger ( because let's be honest, the last time that happened he nearly drowned ) for the sake of others again.
But, it seemed that fate had different plans for him, water surging up behind him sweeping him ever closer to the group, and ironically ever closer to what he was certain was just impending doom. Then again, he had a feeling that he wasn't exactly going to die from this encounter. Then again, he also had no idea what was in store.
"How about you stop being a dick?" He yelled out, hopefully above all the other noise. Then again, he was also making himself out to be a beacon, in that "hey! look at me! come beat me up!" kind of way.
At least if he died, he might be a martyr.

Petunia stood quite close to the screaming blue haired man.
Well, not that close, but close enough, she supposed, to run at him and throw herself at him to push him away from the odd creature's attack. She fell into the shallow water further ahead, and began to pant, surprised at what she had just done. Carefully, she peeled herself from him and pulled herself up, making a noise at her now wet hair and freezing fingers.
She then took a step back to look at the creature. It... was learning... rather... quickly.
"I'm sorry for him, he shouldn't say mean things." Her voice was shaky; hesitant. "But there are better ways to deal with disagreements than having people get hurt!" She insisted, voice pleading, hands together as if praying for a God she didn't really bury all her hopes to, looking up to him like a lost puppy.

The sidewalk was rough against his knees through his soaked jeans, and the water dripped in rivulets down his face, that he blinked back, wiped at with a shaking hand.
When he managed to get onto his feet, he was weighed down by his waterlogged clothes and his own indecision. He felt a lucidity like he hadn't in a long time, but what he saw was like a hallucination. Jamie watched the water rushing like a self-contained river, clear past Jamie and into somebody else.
He couldn't remember what he had been doing or where he was going, so he could only raise a hand to keep the sun from his eyes and stand still and watching the creature that came closer. He staggered a few steps back.

Before he really knew what was happening, suddenly he was hitting the ground again. He lost his footing, slipping on the slick concrete and he fell forward, his chin hitting the ground, hip grinding down hard as he tried to turn and fall anywhere but directly onto his face. His palms managed to hit the ground somewhere in between all of that in an attempt to help, but all it did was scuff him up, the pads of his palms now tender and red.
He hissed as he slowly made his way to his knees, attempted to brush off the dirt onto his shirt, but his palms stung far too much at that moment to handle it.
At least he hadn't been struck by the creature. At least he wasn't badly hurt, though he knew he was going to be sore tomorrow.

The water serpent missed its mark, merely rushing past the downed duo. It instead hit a building nearby and burst against the bricks. A frown formed over lips that were more human now, on a face that looked like it belonged to any normal person. Something was off about the eyes, which were switching their focus to another obnoxious human. Angered, the strange being formed a dark cloud above his hand where electricity sparked in the center.
Jagged bolts of blue shot out of the cloud and hit the water drenched street.
The rolls for this round are as followed: Petunia (2), Jamie (1), Miles (2), Dominick (8), and Aura (5). The higher the number, the better off you are. The lower, the worse. Please keep these in mind when posting.
Valentin has been dropped from the event due to inactivity.
Wait before posting.

She had always been picturesque in sleep; it was always Discordia who looked strangled for air like the vile fox she was.
Nevertheless, for an ugly thought to be her first for so long would be a displeasure. The being in the girlish body and the long, overflowing blonde hair in smooth waves broke out of the seamless binds that managed to fold around her during her slumber. She looked dully at her side; no Discordia.
The fox must be out there causing havoc. Now that couldn't do! Not on her watch! She dismissed the brewing ill-will brewing inside of her with a sweep of her hand. Goodness gracious, was she forgetting her true purpose here? Now that can't be right; she had to support Creation as much as she could, especially by being the good one to maybe not forget, but forgive. That's right. The fox doesn't know any better.
Her polished limbs allowed her to push herself up to her feet. It wasn't necessary, but she had gotten used to behaving like Creation's children. Her tunic, that hugged her slight frame nicely, pooled at her bare feet.
From up above, she looked down from the wispy clouds, making sure to adjust her viewpoint to her beloved Creation's playing fields. Narrowing her eyes through the grey and the thunder, she widened her eyes in shock, fingers trembling just a little.
How could this be happening! She had just woken up, and there was already a call for her to take. Never mind, it was a good cause.
It would be her mission to administer justice - those poor children had seen something horrid, indeed, must have been the plan of the dastardly Abyss and that... that fox - she glided down from the heavens, appearing before the humans seemingly at the blink of an eye. Under the darkened clouds, there was an unmistakable aura about the girl, who's every strand of hair seemed to shimmer like it was woven from pure gold, and there seemed to be a soft glow surrounding her.
With a rise of her hand, she deflected the horrid electricity away from the innocent babies, instead hitting the inhuman entity it originated from, stunning him.
"Tut tut. That's for disturbing the peace!" The girl frowned, shaking her head, body still suspended in mid air with her arms crossed. Then, she turned to the scattered, lost children.
"On closer inspection, you sure are a troublesome lot! Flawed at the edges and oooh," She stared admiringly at Aura. "Fair of face."
She then clapped her hands, three times, suddenly remembering something very important.
"Oh, how rude of me to forget to introduce myself! I am Harmonia." How could they address her without her name? As if trying to let them know just how important a name was, she sang it, smiled softly, as she came down more to their level but hovering a secure distance away from the water.
"And, consider this my blessing."
With a wave of her hand, a strange surge of energy begins to flow through each character's body. Harmonia has blessed you all with temporary powers that will last as long as your respective roll (in posts). Petunia (7), Jamie (4), Miles (8), Dominick (9) and Aura (6). Remember not to go overboard with your powers, as they are limited and basic. Need any additional information, please contact me. Petunia, flight. Jamie, illusion casting. Miles, sound manipulation. Dominick, telekinesis. Aura, healing.

Aura watched in frozen terror as the pillar of water barely missed the two men, instead exploding on a nearby wall and spraying everyone nearby with torrents of water. Her fear reached new heights when the creature looked angrily at all the other people around, raising his hand and conjuring a deadly looking cloud. Blue electricity sparked from the cloud and hurtled towards the ground, but stopped before it was able to hit the water and electrocute nearly everyone in the area. Looking up, she saw the ethereal beam of light descending from the sky and the golden-haired girl that came with it. Aura had no idea who she was, but she seemed...safe. Some kind of benevolent deity. Her presence wasn't scary at all and Aura trusted her, if only because this was an extremely dire situation and nothing evil would emit such bright, warm light. A blush came over her cheeks almost instinctively when the girl looked at her, smiling and referencing to her being fair of face. If Aura was egotistical, her ego would be inflated beyond belief that a goddess had looked at her and said she was fair. But Aura was a humble, quiet, easily embarrassed girl and all she could do was cower behind the small group of people she was with. When the goddess — Harmonia, as she'd soon come to realize — raised her hand, Aura felt a strange sensation inside of her, a surge of divine energy that revitalized and rejuvenated her. At first she had no idea what had happened, only that she felt impossibly better than just a few moments ago. But then, trying to see what was going on she placed a hand on the shoulder of the person in front of her, a shoulder which was injured and bleeding. A strange, faint green light emanated from her palm and was muffled against both her and the stranger's skin, and she pulled her hand back like it had been shocked. To her surprise, the wounded shoulder had healed up a bit, and while there was still a very visible scar there, the gash had closed up. The stranger and Aura shared a mutually startled look before the teen thanked her, and Aura looked at her hands with awe. Somehow she had a feeling the surge of energy from Harmonia, her blessing as she had said, granted her this power. Aura had never expected she would be the recipient of such a benevolent gift, but she wasn't about to waste it. Adrenaline took over and her feelings of fear and shyness ebbed, just a little bit. She helped heal the wounds of those around her, and in the process learned more about her powers. Bigger injuries took longer to heal, and seconds were priceless in this sort of situation. Also, some terribly large wounds did not heal all the way, though her powers could greatly speed things up. Lastly, a broken bone was not affected much by her power, though it did help relieve some of the pain. There were a lot of people in the area, and a lot of people were hurt. Normally Aura would try to hide back, just as she had been, but she didn't want to let Harmonia down. She couldn't just stand there and let people get hurt if she had the ability to help them. And although it scared her, she was going to have to venture out. Venture closer to the creature, and heal as many people as she could. Looking around, she noticed that the blue-haired man who had initially yelled at the creature was injured. While she didn't approve of his tactics, she didn't want him to stay there and be hurt and possibly end up getting hurt worse. Darting out from her cover she made her way over to him, wordlessly took both of his hands as the warm, green light enveloped them and erased the red scrapes that had plagued them both. She craned her neck, entranced by the presence of the pretty blonde girl. The girl looked like some goddess; and a strange kind of calm washed over her. Petunia no longer felt she was scared or cold or even hungry - a sense of purpose like no other seemed to capture her instead.
Was she imagining it, though, this strange energy rushing through her blood, a kind like no other. It left her skin tingling and her body doubting. She watched the purple haired girl come close to the man she pushed away from the attack, and the pretty green glow that came from her hands. Oh, was this... a scene from a movie? A story book? Either way, she moved closer curiously, only to widen her eyes in surprise.
"Aura, is that you?" As she did so, she went on her tip toes, sending her up, up into the sky for a good minute before tumbling down again, falling on her backside on the exact same spot. Petunia winced in pain, temporarily forgetting the troubling situation she was in.

The goddess who came down was an incredible contrast to the other being who tortured everyone for seemingly no reason. Upon receiving her gift, he felt stronger, warmer inside despite being wet and cold, though his body still ached from being tossed around like a rag doll.
Before he knew it, a lovely young woman took him by the hands and they glowed with a brilliant light; his own face showed an expression of shock and disbelief. But when he looked his hands over, they were healed and no longer sore.
Once he realized what exactly had happened, he turned to the monster and shouted at him, grinning broadly from ear to ear. "HA! You SEE THAT!?" And he held up his hands to show just how wonderfully everything was going into their favor and out of the creature's. "Now you're in TROUBLE!"
Though he didn't realize just how much trouble the creature was in. At the end of his statement, putting most emphasis on the word "Trouble," Miles realized exactly what type of power he'd gained.
The air aimed at the creature warped, causing it to rattle the creature and he seemed dazed, somewhat. Miles was shocked at what he'd done, not knowing he had a power like that. Once he realized what he could do, Miles grinned even wider and he felt a sense of power over the being. He knew there wasn't any way he could drop him to his feet, but to daze a creature with a shout? Now, that was amazing.
"Thank you, Harmonia," he whispered to himself.

She shone like a dream, like gold and sunlight molded into a person, though she didn't seem like a person as much as a dream. And all Jamie knew was nightmares so he watched with a dazed face and unfocused eyes. He stood a little straighter, a little more sober - the feeling felt like gold, gold and power in his veins instead of blood.
This felt unreal, as he stood in numb silence, watching everything around him that seemed to have leaked from a dream.
They were crows. Bigger than crows should be, screaming as they swept over the heads of the crowds. Jamie's eyes followed their flight - or perhaps it was the other way around - as they circled the street and dove at the thing that was not-quite-human. One of them looped around and landed on his shoulder - it was heavy and dusty, and its claws bit into him.

The electricity the being has sent at the humans had rebounded back at him. Blue sparks flickered over his body as he jerked around. Miles’ sound waves brought him to the ground. Smoke curled off his skin in swirling wisps. Unfortunately, that hadn’t been enough to kill him. He would be moving again in a few moments.
That was plenty of time for the humans to come up with some kind of plan. Equipped with their new powers, they stood a chance against the entity wreaking havoc on the town.
Now is the time to come up with a plan before the entity recovers. Rolls will be generated two rounds for now.

Harmonia watched the beast fall with a certain glee on her lips; regardless of how the humans thought of her, gratitude was always accepted. They seemed like gleeful, amiable creatures. Of course, as the overseer of balance, of harmony, Harmonia prided herself to never get too close, never get involved, but allowing the humans to achieve their own harmony was important too.
She watched from above, only floating down in a smooth, seamless gesture. Her toes stretched, her arms folded across her chest, playing with a strand of hair, trying to look nonchalant and cool to the whole group.
"I have blessed you all with a gift, if you haven't already noticed." She flipped her hair backwards, casting a lazy eye amongst them all. "I suggest you use them wisely, and carefully. They don't last forever, you know! I'm not that generous." Chuckling to herself, she then landed her two feet, anchoring them to the ground. Physically, she was small, but there was no doubting the attention she effortlessly commanded.
"That," She pointed at the fallen creature. "Is a titan. Different to the nature of darling Creation's subjects. This is born of hatred and... deceit. And all things terrible in this world." Her voice, formally playful, now turned almost mournful and sorrowful.
"But if you don't take Abyss' minion down, it's sure that you will all... hm... what's the word? Die. That's it. Die." She smiled cheerfully, tiptoes leading to her floating upwards again.
"Best of luck, and no war is without strategy!"

Die?! Aura looked around wildly, eyes burning with fear as she came to the realization that this was a very dangerous, very real situation. It had seemed all too surreal for a while but now it was clear that this creature was hell bent on killing them all and if she and the others didn't act quickly, it would murder them all.
But what could she do? She was defensive with this power, not offensive. All she could do would be to run over and heal the thing, which was exactly the opposite of what they wanted to do. Trying to fight back hot tears of fear that burned her eyes, she squeezed them shut and tried to concentrate and think for a second.
Petunia's voice brought her back, and she opened her watering eyes and looked up as her friend began to float up and away. It was apparent that she had gotten powers of flight, and due to the screams that came from just down from them, the blue haired man she healed had obtained some kind of supersonic scream ability.
And then there were crows flying ahead. Everything was happening all at once and while the others all seemed to have such useful abilities for defeating this creature and all she had was the power of healing. Not sure how to help or to do anything, she simply went around and started to heal people nearby, helping them up and telling them to get as far away as possible.
"Petunia, are you hurt at all?" she finally called out, looking up at her flying friend. "I can heal you!"

As she was now sitting in the water, it seeped into the fibers of each feather, making Petunia wince in discomfort, yet she made no effort to move, she couldn't, not with Harmonia's splendid might soaring above everyone and making her speech. Every word she said slid off like a dream; Petunia could not even hope to catch it.
Grunting, she pushed herself upright, wings folding close to her back. She stared back at Aura for a moment, not sure what to say.
"I... I... I t-think I'm okay?" The blonde girl yelped, fingers interlocked and expression full of nerves.
