It was getting harder and harder to find a good place to rest in this school. Normally, Zola would have just gone to the library and curled up under a desk, but upon sighting her, the librarian had chased her out, claiming that libraries were for reading and not sleeping. Zola didn't understand why they couldn't be for both, but whatever. She was too lazy to argue with the powers that were.
A piano could work just as well as a desk.
No one was in the music room when she entered it. Thanking her lucky stars, she fell to her knees and crawled under the grand piano that stood in the middle of the room. Slipping off her jacket, she fashioned it into a small pillow before curling up into a tiny ball and laying her head down. Yes, this would do very nicely indeed.
Her eyes fluttered shut. Within a matter of minutes, she was slumbering silently.

It was free hour, giving Amory time to himself yet nothing to do. Most of his classmates had gone out to a convince store nearby. He declined their invitation, finding himself drawn to the music room where the grand piano stood at its center. Did he even remember how to play? No sooner had the though hit him that he setting in front of his and let his fingers go to work. His fingers moved unsteadily at first, but they grew more confident as he played. The room was soon filled with a complex melody. ZOLA BIRDSHELL

Had Zola been passing by the music room, and not sleeping underneath the piano, she may have described the melody being pounded out on the keys as soothing, or even as beautiful. But, unfortunately, she was sleeping underneath the piano, not passing by in the halls, and as such, the music sounded more terrifying than it did beautiful or soothing.
She woke up with an instant scream on her lips. "Bloody murder!" She shrieked, scrambling to get to her feet and banging her head on the bottom of the piano. "Bloody murder!", was once again yelled, this time at an even louder and higher-pitched volume.
Clutching at her head, Zola finally managed to crawl out from under the piano and into open space. Her chest rose and fell with rapid, panicked breaths.

The blonde’s playing of the piano abruptly stopped when he heard the bang under the piano. He had jumped too, startled by the suddenness. Amory bent down to peer at the girl crawling out. “I’m so sorry! I didn’t know you were under there. I should have checked.” His face was dusted with a light shade of pink. Never in his wildest dreams did he think he’d find anyone sleeping under the piano so he never thought to check under it. Why was she under there anyways? “Are you okay?” ZOLA BIRDSHELL

Was she okay? No, not in the slightest. Never before had she been woken up in such an abrupt and terrifying manner. Even now, Zola could feel her heart pounding against her chest and the blood rushing in her ears. This was the most alert she had been in years, and it felt terrible.
For a long, long moment, all she could do was stare at the blond, eyes wide. When she finally found her voice, it came out strangled. "You've killed me." She told him.
The previous energy that had been animating her seemed to leech out all at once. Without so much as another word, Zola sank to the floor, her hands cradling her head.

He really should have checked to make sure anyone was there. It occurred to him that people didn't usually hang out beneath pianos. Guilt stirred up to gnaw hungrily at his mind, and somehow even his stomach, eating away away the his logic. It grew more ravenous as he watched her drop to the floor cradling her head. "I'm so sorry. If I can make it up to you in any way, please tell me." ZOLA BIRDSHELL
