• Zola was not born on Nova Athenis, but she might as well have been. Her family moved there from England when she was four, and she has few memories of life before the island. She still maintains the faintest English accent, thanks to her parents.
• She enjoys anything that she can do while sitting down. Or even better, lying down.
• She has the extraordinary ability to fall asleep anywhere, at any time. It's a gift, it truly is. Zola's been known to nap anywhere she can; on her desk at school, underneath the bleachers, in a tree, underneath a table...she's constantly feeling the need to sleep. Sleep's nice. It's quite nice indeed.
• Her other hobby, apart from sleeping, is sewing. She's actually quite good at making clothes, and enjoys thrift shopping as well- though she rarely ever gets up the energy to do either of these things.
• She moves at the equivalent speed of a snail. Few things can rush Zola. Running just takes so much effort. If the school was on fire, she'd probably stroll out while dragging her feet behind her, or not even move at all. She gives a whole new meaning to the word 'laziness'.
• She owns a pet snake by the name of...Snake. Original, right? Truth be told, Zola couldn't be bothered to give him a proper name, and Snake suits him just fine. If it even is a him. She honestly doesn't know. But until she does, she's just going to keep calling Snake a 'him', because he seems like a guy to her. She's not going to go out of her way to find out. Going to the vet takes too much effort, and Snake's fine with her not knowing his proper sex. After all, he's never complained.
