Valentin has lived on the island his entire life, raised in a single parent household by a loving (but slightly overprotective) mother in an average middle class, two bedroom home. As a child he was gentle but shy and slightly lacking in friends, but he always had a fondness of animals - many of which found themselves on their way home with him. As he was a little different from other kids he found himself outcast and tormented at he grew older; something he eventually couldn't stand, leading to Valentin dropping out a couple of years before graduation.

On the outside he appears intense, awkward and even a little intimidating: he tried incredibly hard to improve his skills with people in his adolescence, memorizing countless jokes, tricks and acts to break the ice...a set of skills that became incredibly useful once he found himself unemployed without any qualifications. He got permission for a small space in a square on the eastern part of the island, sucked his anxiety in and began entertaining.

To his surprise the general public are not anwhere near as cruel as students and he was actually very popular among passersbys. He spent so long practising that he became a tremendous actor who is a completely different person performing rehersed tricks.

Unfortunately in unpracticed conversation he still struggles, coming off as overdramatic as if in a play; or if you strike a nerve you'll see his true shy self.

He is still a master of the animals, volunteering at the local shelter in his free time. When with any creature you can see the inside of his soft glowing core as you see him smiling and talking to them without any trouble. They even play a massive part of his entertainment with several rodents appearing in his acts - these co-actors live with him in his tiny dark bedsit full of sawdust and rodent poopy.

Even when surrounded by his furry friends he is incredibly lonely, often crying himself to sleep while a hamster curls up on the warmth of his crotch.
