AIDEN SHAW TWENTY-FIVE - MALE - PSYCHOLOGIST What would my head be like If not for my shoulders Or without your smile? |
PERSONALITY
Aiden's open and friendly attitude along with a good grasp in reading the mood is a bigger factor in his success as a psychologist than the actual degree which denotes him as such. However most would say that his attitude is merely a reflection of the fact that, for most means and purposes, he's a child posing as a man. From his procrastinating, work-bunking ways to his flights of fancies and exaggerations; Aiden certainly does cut an odd personality. However it is pretty likable to most people so he manages long quite fine.
the good: cheerful, laid-back, friendly, perceptive, imaginative.
the bad: lazy, air-headed, whimsical, immature, melodramatic.

OTHER
history:
Aiden was the only child born to an upper middle class family and as a result was slightly spoiled by his parents- as the only child is wont to. Despite this he grew up to be, as his neighborhood grannies would put it, 'a ball of sunshine' and was generally liked by the people he interacted with.
The first surprise to the people in Aiden's life came when he started studying psychology- most people thought that it was too 'mature' a topic for the teenager who spent most of his time doodling fantastic animals in his notebooks. But people intrigued Aiden, so he persisted in his studies.
In the end this curiosity with people as well as his love of associating with human beings lead Aiden to a degree in psychology. After (barely) graduating with a degree in social psychology he freelanced for a while before getting employed as a student counselor in the very university he was an alumni of.
His parents moved back to England, their original homeland, but Aiden was born and raised in Nova Athens so he stayed, keeping the house he had lived in for all his life. They keep in touch and often find themselves worrying about their son, but Aiden mostly lives his life as he pleases. His parents try hard to respect that wish- they're quite supportive in that regard.
misc.:
He has his family's house to himself in the west section of Nova Athens, but you won't find him there or even at his job where he's supposed to be. No you'll probably find him on a beach lazing around, listening to music, reading a book or playing volleyball. Aiden plays a killer game of beach volleyball.
He has a tendency to leave his stuff lying about every time he sits down- as a result his valuables are usually tied by lanyard to his belt and everything else has contact information attached to it. That information comes in handy more times than it should.
After a relationship in university which crashed and burned quite spectacularly, Aiden has been unwilling to get involved with anybody- another thing which worries his parents.
Although Aiden is on friendly terms with practically everybody he meets, his old friends from high school and university have mostly moved away from Nova Athens- Aiden misses them and is prone to bursts of nostalgia when wandering the university.
