James is a street rat who rose above a life on the streets, looking to make an indelible impact on the world. Fast forward one charity sponsored education and he's a first year law student in Nova Athens- only to realize that he's living a mapped out life as one of the masses, exactly the thing he was trying to avoid. So he drops out of university and starts looking around for an opportunity to make his mark. Oh and he takes odd jobs on the side to make ends meet- don't mention it though, it's a sore point.
The same work results in him doing a bit of everything, going everywhere and meeting people of all kinds- moreover due to his distinctive appearance he's hard to forget or to miss; ask around, in all likelihood quite a few people know him if only be reputation. Off-work he doesn't have any particular hobbies or haunts that define his day's schedule. If anything you're going to find him walking around Nova Athens aimlessly with a pair of headphones jammed in his ears. Either that or you'll find him crashing a party- he really enjoys his food and drink, especially when they're free.

While James is completely at ease with company, he won't be the one who approaches another in hopes of making a friend. He's a loner in the sense that presence, or lack of presence, don't really affect him or his moods. This coupled with his independent and at times downright overwhelming personality lead to the fact that he has no particular friends, just acquaintances met via his job. With a personality like an avalanche on steroids; James is hard to get along with, but in the end a good person to have on your side.

He has more than a fair share of people out to do him varying degrees of harm; his ambitious and ruthless attitude tends to piss off people something fierce. Quite a few of the gangs in Nova Athens wouldn't mind roughing him up. If anybody from his old gang back in L.A. remember him they would probably like to have a 'chat' with him, but since he was nine when he left, that's unlikely. Those scars are pretty distinctive though...

Romance has always been a sore topic for James, mainly because of his inability to keep a relationship going. The problem probably lies in the fact that he isn't particularly tactful, leading to a lot of misunderstandings and arguments. Another reason may be due to the fact that he has trouble standing weak personalities, meaning the people who he does get involved with are just as stubborn as him. Needless to say it hasn't ended well- yet. *hint hint*

He's the only child of upper-middle class parents from Britain and it shows in his personality. Spoiled as a child, Aiden never really grew up- even if he got a degree in psychology and is currently employed by the Nova Athens university. He is more likely to be found on a beach doing what he feels like or with his head up in the clouds, daydreaming time away. He lives life on a permanent high, loving to associate with people with an open and friendly attitude. If that attitude is lazy, whimsical, melodramatic and generally immature- well that's just the way he is.

He's on good terms with pretty much everybody he associates with on a daily basis, his sunny personality is hard to resist for any long amount of time. However, most of Aiden's oldest and closest friends have moved away leaving him missing them terribly. That along with the fact that his parents moved back to England has left him a bit lonely and prone to bursts of nostalgia.

Even with his talent of exaggeration Aiden would be hard pressed to claim he has any enemies. Although his sunny personality may get on some people's nerves occasionally, his ability to read moods relatively well have prevented him from acquiring any particular enemy.

Not the type to settle for flings and one night stands, Aiden always tries to pursue serious relationships with people he genuinely likes. Unfortunately a spectacular exploding of a relationship back when he was in university has left him hesitant of pursuing another relationship. He may be ready for it, but he's too afraid to find out for sure.
