Today was finally a day where Bonifraz wasn't buried in college work. He liked reading and analyzing great works of literature but even that can get taxing every now and then...so he is going to do the logical thing and go look for out shopping for books. One can argue there is a huge logical flaw with his trip out in the shopping district but there was huge difference (at least to him) between dissecting what he felt like the dozenth writing of Shakespeare and making fun Mark Twain. Shopping did not take Bonifraz long. He simply took a few books of various authors that he hasn't read nor cared to remember and spent a few bucks on that. IT was largely uneventful and something Bonifraz would've preferred. The news he was hearing and some rumors get...odd. But he can't concern himself with the absurdities of the masses. He entered the cafe and guided himself to a seat. He placed his ordered and finally opened up one of the books in his book bag. Bonifraz certainly looked like a student...what kind is up to interpretation seeing as how he is wearing just a simple white dress shirt and jeans. He didn't stand out at all in his own opinion...and would rather keep it that way. He would never understand those who wore flamboyant outfits. God is dead. God remains dead... Bonifraz silent waited to himself at least until his drink arrived however something, whatever controlled destiny or luck, has other plans for him. His eyes moved away slowly from his copy of Die fröhliche Wissenschaft and looked over at the new comer. "Can I help you?" He asked. @open notes: Yay for first thread!

Aiden had been called ditzy, air-headed and careless for his habit of leaving his belongings lying about. Therefore it was with a particular sense of satisfaction that he looked around for the owner of a book he had seen being dropped on the street; the shoe being on the other foot, so to say. This time he was going to be the one returning a lost possession and baking in the thanks, maybe even slipping in a sly comment about taking care of one's belongings if he was lucky! It might be a bit of a bother actually finding the rightful owner, but he rarely -if ever- got such an opportunity, he couldn't just let it pass by now could he?
Sure enough he chased the view of an elusive back all the way to a cafe and upon entering he noted a person sitting engrossed to one side in a book. Presumably it was his quarry; well hopefully it was, Aiden had an admittedly brief and vague glance at the person who had accidentally dropped the book. Youngish, plain clothes, fair haired- check, check and check; it had to be the same guy.
Walking over to the man, he managed to be noticed before he could speak up. No matter, it would take a lot before the psychologist could be cowed from carrying on a conversation that he wanted to continue. "'Scuze me. I was just wondering if this book was yours?" Aiden replied with his characteristic ten megawatt smile.
OOC: dropping in. hope you don't mind~ @zephyr

Standing before Bonifraz holding a book is a messy black haired individual. If Bonifraz had to bother guessing an age it would have to be slightly older than him. Was a fellow book lovers? Book lover or not though, Bonifraz had no intention of socializing nor the interest. He was just hoping to finish this book after his peaceful and noiseless cafe visit and be on his way. "'Scuze me. I was just wondering if this book was yours?" Of course, fate had other plans. Bonifraz took a look at the book. The cover and pages seem to be in decent condition outside the signs it was dropped on the ground. His eyes traveled up from the book toward the one who held it. "I am afraid not. You're much better off returning it to a book store." There was no sign that it belonged to a library either so that was out of the question. Bonifraz went back to his book even as the waiter arrived with his drink. It was simple lemonade seeing as how Bonifraz felt he needed something cold today. "Does that address all your concerns?" It was Bonifraz's way of saying 'what more do you want from me before you leave me alone?' @open notes: Yay for first thread!

"No, sorry for bothering you." Aiden's smile vanished temporarily when he found out that the person he had been chasing had in fact not been the owner of the book, and that his efforts had been in vain. It seemed that as far as the lost and found procedure went Aiden was fated to be the person who had lost his belongings, not the one who was returning somebody else's. "Oh well." the psychologist muttered to himself dejectedly as he leafed through the book in search of the price tag which would lead him to the shop of its origin.
In the end Aiden could not find a price tag, in fact all he could find was a stamp; presumably bearing the sign of the shop. It was hard to tell as there was no name and Aiden himself fulfilled all his literature needs from a single source thus having not much knowledge on bookshops.
Uneasily he glanced over to the guy who he had mistaken as the owner of the book. He had been polite enough the first time around, if a bit cold for having his reading disturbed, but he did seem to be the type who would have more knowledge of the city's bookshops than Aiden himself.
Slowly Aiden approached him once more. "Sorry to disturb you again." Aiden began with a sheepish smile "But do you recognize the shop this is from?" the psychologist asked, showing him the stamp on the book.

"No, sorry for bothering you." The man's smile disappeared. Was his happiness really revolving returning a book to someone? He muttered something, most likely a vocal declaration of disappointment to himself. Bonifraz stared at him and wondered if he was going to bother him further. There was now a brief moment of awkward silence. Bonifraz took a sip of his drink and started to go back to his book. His eyes now focused on the book but at the corner of his eye he noticed the man glancing at him. Bonifraz lowered his book once more only having read a few sentences. The man was most likely going to ask something again wasn't he? "Sorry to disturb you again." Bonifraz closed his book, after placing a book mark there. He could tell that he wasn't going to return to it as long as this man was present. "But do you recognize the shop this is from?" Bonifraz arched an eyebrow as he looked at the stamp. "Stamps are usually placed on books belonging to a library. However those stamps usually come with a bar code given how libraries use scanners to keep track of their material." Bonifraz began to think for a moment. He can't tell what the stamp is... "Some countries also use stamps as a substitute for written signatures...so there is that possibility." @open notes: Wait my other charrie is supposed to be the detective -shot-

Aiden's mind reeled back from the information barrage that suddenly came down at it. Books were classified in so many ways? Who knew? Who cared? And more importantly; how was he supposed to tell where to return the book?
"Wait a minute." Aiden hastily blurted out, his hands outstretched to forestall any more information coming at him "Could you repeat everything?" He started taking out a notepad and a ballpoint pen which he usually used to help with grocery lists. It was nearly impossible for the psychologist to properly articulate all the information thrown at him; had trouble keeping track of his own daily routine as it was! No this wouldn't do, it wouldn't do at all. He needed help, so naturally he decided to grasp on to his companion like a lifesaver. "Or better yet could you just help me find where I'm supposed to return this book to?" This guy was obviously better versed in this field than him, his help should cut down the time taken by more than half. That was if he didn't outright refuse.
OOC: sorry for the tardiness @zephyr

"Wait a minute." Bonifraz stopped his explanations as he looked over at the man. "Could you repeat everything?" The man took out a pen and notebook. Bonifraz wondered what was so complex about his explanation. It seems like I encountered a bright one...and I do not speak of his clothing in regards to this matter. Bonifraz thought to himself. "Or better yet could you just help me find where I'm supposed to return this book to?" For a brief moment, Bonifraz's expression only had disdain for the other party. "Outside of the few libraries I go to, I can not be the one to identify your symbol. My specialty is identifying the text in the book, not appraise the books themselves. Take it to a book store owner, a library, or something." Bonifraz did not disguise his increasing annoyance with this individual. He took a large sip of his lemonade and looked back at him. "Does that answer your concerns?" If Bonifraz prayed to anything, he would be praying that this man would take the book to a library or a store and try to narrow down owners. However given how this man can't process simple information on a book's identification, Bonifraz highly doubted it. @open notes: Wait my other charrie is supposed to be the detective -shot-
