It seemed like he was gaining friends all over the place and he couldn't have been happier. Though, as happy as it was, it felt strange to suddenly start gaining friends, but he wasn't complaining. How could he complain? What was there to complain about?
Nothing, that's what!
Miles invited Channing to the country club near his house for a little bit of fun. There was a swimming pool he really wanted to take advantage of before it started to get too cold to swim, though he was certain it was an indoors swimming pool if he remembered correctly.
Getting comfortable, he pulled out his towel and laid it onto a little chair near the pool, making sure that it was perfectly spread out and even. After that, he picked up his beach bag and walked to the dressing rooms to change into his bathing suit.
He hadn't worn it there. No, that would have been tacky. And besides, who would do that when there were dressing rooms in the pool room? Why else would the club have had them built if not to be used? It would've been rude not to use them. With that said, he walked into his own room and locked the door to change.
It only took him a few minutes to switch out and when he was finished, he put his normal clothes into the bag and brought it to the lounge chair where his towel sat.
The bluelette wondered how long it would take for his friend to arrive and he contemplated whether or not it would've been rude to go ahead and start swimming without Channing or not. Hmmm.... the struggle to not be rude was a real one for him. The water looked so peaceful and he imagined it would feel amazingly against his skin.
With a sigh, he sat down on the chair and decided to wait. Ah, the things he did for his friends. Miles was such a great friend.

A country club wasn't really Channing's scene. She wasn't the type that were depicted in all those movies, the rich, snobby, privileged people whose parents were lawyers and doctors. While she had been to a few in her life, it was never her first idea to go and hang out at. She just felt plain uncomfortable around those sorts of people. She didn't want to be part of that society. She didn't feel like she could become part of that society. But Miles, Miles invited her and she wasn't going to turn down his invitation - even though Miles seemed a little different than he was when they first started becoming friends. That was fine she supposed. Channing just had to figure out where on Earth she'd park her pickup truck, every parking spot that didn't belong to valet seemed to have someone's name written on it. Eventually she gave up, and tossed her keys and a tip to the valet and had him park her car, she was already late enough. She dashed off to the poolside as quick as she could, making it in record time - at least she thought so. "Sorry I'm late Miles, I got here as quick as I could. I just gotta change." She grinned. | DO YOU THINK WE'LL BE IN LOVE FOREVER?DO YOU THINK WE'LL BE IN LOVE?

Once Channing came dashing in, Miles perked up considerably and he sat up straighter, turning to look in the direction of his friend dashing by.
"The dressing rooms are that way!Miles exclaimed and he pointed in their direction his eyes widened in delight and his smile bigger than it's been in the longest time. Finally, he could have some fun!
Now that Channing was there, Miles took that moment to dip his feet into the water, testing to see how warm it was. A soft chill ran up his legs, but it wasn't so bad that he couldn't tolerate it. He walked over to the diving board, prepped himself, then dove right in. When he got back to he surface, he took in a nice breath of air and shouted out to Channing, who he knew could hear him in the dressing rooms, "The water feels great! You're gonna love it!"
Closing his eyes, he flipped over onto his back and began to swim that way, just enjoying the feeling of the water's surface tickling the sides of his face.

AND WHEN THE SHIT HITS THE FAN, TELL ME WHO YOU THINK IS THE MAN | Channing would have just gone in, in her regular clothes but somehow she didn't think that it was acceptable to do such a thing at such a preppy ass place. Even now, when she had cash, she didn't spend it on memberships to country clubs, or really anything that she was far away from her ideal norm. She wasn't exactly against change, but only when it comprised of dealing with rich people who stuck their noses up at anyone who was of a lower tier then they were. This wasn't the fucking caste system, one day they might just get stuck in the lower tier themselves. She went to the lockeroom, stuffed her things in a locker and didn't bother to lock it when she left. She had nothing of value in there anyway. What were they going to steal? Her fucking jacket? She came out in an one piece bathing suit. She didn't like bikinis in the slightest. "I hope so!" The one thing about country clubs, she had to admit, there were a lot less people than there were in public city swimming pools. She unceremoniously jumped in, probably splashing people, but she didn't really care. MILES VELLA |
