Go to school. Try to keep to himself. Get bullied. That's Harper's life and boy, does he get sick of it sometimes. Somedays he just wants to give up and just do something to end it all, but then he thinks he's only got a few more years left of high school. Only a few more years until he's able to get out of here and possibly escape the ridicule and bullying. Sometimes he takes to the roof. It's generally empty because no one wants to put the effort to go up all the stairs just to hang out up there. He likes it, it's quiet and calm, sort of, depending on the day. Like Jamie. Harper shakes his head a little to get rid of his thoughts as he climbs the stairs. His back-pack is slung over his shoulder and he's sure, as he pushes the emergency door that leads to the roof open, that he'll be the only one on the roof again. Boy, is he in for a surprise. @finnpestle

Plink.
A frail, little note floats into the air, flapping its wings like a drowsy butterfly. It reverberates for a single, shimmering moment before it’s swept away by the breeze that chills Finn’s flushed cheeks. And then he launches another little note into the air.
Plink.
He continues to do this for quite some time, his eyelids gently shut in deep concentration, his hair swept low over his eyes. Up on the roof, it’s only Finn, his bass, and the sweeping sky that reigns above him; the sun hides behind a grey cloud, robbing Finn of any warmth. He doesn’t mind though; he likes the cold.
Only when the doors are creaked open does his last note ring into a standstill, and then there’s no more of the baseline notes that Finn can feel through the soles of his feet. The absence of music, however, is quickly replaced by the swish of the wind and the crinkle of dead leaves running across the roof floor.
Finn looks up at the boy, and offers a quaint smile; he doesn’t like to seem like a snob, but he doesn’t want to become too friendly.
“T’sup?” he says. He nods to the space beside him. “Don’t mind me; you can eat your lunch here, if you want.”

It takes Harper's mind a very long second to realise that, they there's another person up here. It takes him another long second to think of what to say, and when he speaks, the right words don't come out of his mouth, that's for sure. "Are you religious, because you're the answer to all my prayers."
Cue another long second for Harper to realise what he's just said, he wants to beat himself over the head with his lunch. His face is red and honestly, he doesn't know what to say except: "Oh my god, I'm so sorry please don't take that the wrong way, I mean, take that with a grain of salt because I meant it- I mean, I didn't mean it that way it just sort of happen. Oh my god I'm sorry, please don't hit me."
