@sey New thread, let's go! Woohoo!! /o/ | Julian was a man of his word. When he told the sugar pink haired chipmunk of a girl he met at Athens Park a week ago that he would meet her here, he was going, and now he was there. Irresistibly Sweet needed a better name to it. More like Saccharine Sweet. The strong aroma of baked goodies was over-powering anything else he could smell as soon as walked into the bakery. He could see now why Powder Puff as he affectionately nicknamed the girl would like this place. It was sickeningly sweet like the color of her hair.
It would've been rude to not at least order something small. Even if he was just here to meet up with the girl. He wanted to figure out what the hell her name is. There had to be a reason as to why she was keeping a secret. Or she was messing with him again. Hopefully he'll find out what she's got up her sleeves with this meeting. He was a little worried this was a set up for a big prank. Though he really had high doubts the girl was that clever of a trickster to devise a grand scheme.
The blonde guitarist ordered a couple small bite size cakes. He didn't dislike sweets but he didn't eat these on a regular basis. Upon plucking up his plates of treats it was time to search out the one who asked him to meet him here. It wasn't hard to locate a girl who looked like jail bait with ridiculously pink hair. Oh yeah, and a large red ribbon tied in a bow to accent her Minnie Mouse wannabe exterior.
"Yo." was his only greeting. |

| As she inhaled, Seyka closed her eyes smiling softly, enjoying the aroma of hot tea as steam floated up into her nostrils. Today was the day~ Exactly a week ago, at this same time, she met a young guitarist around the same age as her at the park. Or well to be exact, she threw an paper air-plane and it hit him in the back of his head. She had to say that the innocent accident did lead up to a rather interesting encounter all the same.
“It's good to see you again, mister musician,” she greeted him back. One petite palm left the other to support the tea cup in order to gesture for her company to come sit down. “I'm glad you came. I was worried that you wouldn't show~” There were plenty of people who'll talk the talk, but to actually keep their word earned brownie points in the pinkette's book. Bright eyes noticing he bought some sweets of his own. Returning her hand back to supporting her cup, she took a sip of the brewed golden concoction.
“I take it you're ready to find out who I am, huh?” she asked lifting her eyes back up to Julian. She placed her tea cup gently back onto it's saucer. A bubbly giggle escaped from her lips. Like she would make it that easy for him. “Before I do though, would you mind humoring me a bit? I promise there's no tricks involved.”

@sey Don't mind the grumpy tsun. | He was starting to believe this girl enjoyed giving people the run-around. A frown forming upon his mouth as he took the seat offered right across from her at the table. "A promise is a promise. If it can't be done then there's no point in making one," he stated as a matter of fact. Damn it, he just rhymed while explaining it too. Though he did admit mentally that he was glad that this trip to the bakery wasn't a waste of time. She managed to show up as well.
He took his fork into his hand slicing a small bite of his cake before eating it. Eyes on the girl who requested him to meet her here. A brow arched up curiously as she went straight to business. Inquiring about if he wanted to know who she was. Of course, he waited a week to get to this point. He refrained from making any sarcastic remarks or abrasive comments. "Whenever you're done playing games, yeah, knowing your name would be nice." he answered back. Much to his chagrin she wasn't done playing around at all.
"If you're going to ask me to play in the bakery then you can forget it," he stated first and foremost. "I didn't come here to be a participant to amateur night." Julian honestly didn't understand why he was putting himself through this. It was supposed to be something simple. Keep his promise, meet up with the girl, find out her name then get out.
"What is it?" he asked with a sigh. |

| “No need to worry about that~ I'm not asking you to perform here.” Besides, this was her performing spot. She wasn't going to share it with another local~ Or at least not yet. She was still treading the waters to be precise with the wheat tuft lad. Seyka could imagine what she's about to discuss with him would be a little weird to talk about. Especially since the two of them just recently met a week ago but life wasn't any fun unless there was a little loop thrown off~
“Do you believe in chance encounters? Or that fate has a divine plan that brings certain people into your life for a reason?” she engaged in her little amusement. “Is there such a thing as bonds that tie people together? Many countries believe in all sorts of interesting things. Like how the Japanese beleive in the 'red string of destiny', or how other European countries believe we're connected at the heart with links.” For every legend or myth born from mankind's imagination there lied a lesson behind the tales woven over the many, many years. Nova Athenis was no exception~ The pinkette took another sip of her tea after her hefty tangent.
“What I'm trying to get at,” she continued. One palm stirring with a tea spoon making sure none of the flavor runs to the bottom of her cup. “Do you believe meeting people is by fate's choice or our own accord?” Fun little philosophical feed for a conversation to get to know him better. See where he stood in life and maybe some insight as to what made this guitarist the person he is today~
NOTES: He's adorable~ <3 |

@sey Gumpy tsun-tsun is not cute. :c | Julian blinked. What the hell was she going on about? This sounded like a topic of heated debate for his World Religion class back at the university. Judging from the look on the girl's face it seemed like she was actually serious about having this type of conversation. "That's a weird thing to talk about with someone you barely know," he commented, "You probably should've waited to ask that when I know you for at least a month or two." Unfortunately, he had no other choice but to answer her - to the best of his knowledge - so he could get to the part of knowing who this girl is. Once he had what he was looking for then he'd be on his way. She claimed herself to be a musician, and spoke as if she had experience in show business. What she just pulling his leg or was it something more?
Here goes nothing. "I believe that it's half and half," he answered, "Fate can lay out a long-term plan for someone's life but we have the right of free will. Of course, that doesn't mean that whatever choice we make won't have results or consequences." Let alone the ability to accept or find the will to change those outcomes rooted by a free person's choices. He sliced another bite sized portion of cake before stuffing his mouth with it. Following right up after it was a sip from his glass of water. Not bad, not bad at all.
"It's the same mental food for your brain when you think about the aspect of reincarnation. Some religions out there believe in living another life after this one is done. As for my belief, it's hard to say." He was a hardcore realist down to the bone. If he couldn't see it then he was skeptical on what to believe. Thus it makes it somewhat of a obstacle for him to view religions the same way as a devoted follower. "What are you trying to get at? Do you believe we've met in another life?" he asked. |

| “It's a possibility,” she mused. Though she wouldn't go as far as dive into the spiritual aspects of such matters. It was hard to say what was real and what wasn't. Just a preference on where you put your faith. At least if a person had some to put it into something to begin with~ She shrugged her shoulders though at his comment if this kind of talk was supposed to be brought up for another time. Preferably when they were better acquainted with one another. It didn't really matter to her.
“Sounds like to me that you have a story to attest to your beliefs.” Though she wouldn't really pry further than that. Her eternal smile still plastered across her face. “Who's to say if we didn't know one another in another lifetime? Think about it for a bit~” What kind of people would they be back then? What did they do in another life? She closed her eyes for a moment trying to picture it in her head.
“If we did live in another life where we knew each other, then what kind of person would I be? Come up with any scenario you can think up.” It would be interesting to see what kind of scenario the blonde boy could possibly come up with. She took another sip of her perfectly temperature tea after letting sit for a bit to cool down. The flavor clinging to her taste buds.

@sey You're nuts. >.> | A story to back up his beliefs? Meh it wasn't anything worth talking about. Julian could still recall the day he stumbled across his grandfather's old albums. Back in the day when his old man was around his age, and in a band together, managing to make a decent name for themselves. The music from those old records was the match that lit the fuse of inspiration to becoming a musician. He wanted to know what it must've felt like to have the people screaming wildly as he played his guitar and sang songs that people could sing along to. "Everyone's got their problems. Some are just not aware of them in comparison to others," he stated with a crisp tone. There were so many to point out of this girl but he remained quiet on those. For now.
"That's hard to say. I don't even have the slightest clue about you." Aside from the fact that she loves playing around. Doesn't she take anything seriously? Not to mention she also enjoys avoiding the main point of topics. Though if he was going to find out anything about her or these stupid games then might as well indulge her trivial amusements. Though what kind of story could he come up with?
"Fine... just this once. In another life, you were a simple gardener." Wow. That was very creative. "You tended to the flowers, crops and food supply of a reclusive village. Through a series of mysterious events, you were summoned forth to take up the role of the hero destined to save the kingdom where you lived in." He had no idea just what the hell came out of his mouth. The blonde haired nineteen year old didn't exactly understand any of this at all. Why the hell were they having this kind of conversation? |

| Seyka stared at Julian as he began weaving a tale of her 'past life' in his own words. A humble village girl who had a green thumb~? Just how far back in the past was he going? It sounded like to her like the Medieval age. The era of knights, kings and where fantasy flourished in the hearts of romanticists all over the known world. Though the story got kind of out there as soon as he began to elaborate how she soon transformed into a hero who was destined to save a kingdom.
A giggle escaped her lips. The only thing Seyka could probably save was her attention span on a good day. It was hard to picture herself as a hero. Or was it heroine? Ah well, it didn't matter~ “That's quite the background for a past life,” she said in between her fits of laughter. She sucked in a breath of air to calm herself down. Might as well be fair and take her turn to come up with a story for him. “Though I can't imagine myself as glorious as a hero.” She folded her hands together ticking the tocks in her cranium. Might as well play on the story that he already spun. Aha! She had the perfect tale~
“In another life, you were my childhood friend. As well as my best friend,” she started, “Everyone considered you the village idiot since you liked to put on grand fronts but it wasn't who you really were. Nobody understood you because in reality, you were just lonely. All you wanted was to reach out for a friend to call your own.” Her bubble of giggles quickly burst once more. He probably wouldn't like how she told the story but she was already getting used to his grumpy expression.
“Despite your insecurities, you worked up the courage to join me at my side, to try to save the Kingdom from certain doom.”

@sey I'm not mean, I'm honest. >:[ | The laughter that escaped Powder Puff's lips started to sound irritating. Why the hell was she laughing at him? It was her stupid game he got suckered into playing. All he wanted was to learn her name. That was it! Julian didn't wish to continue on with this foolishness with her! "Trust me, I just came up with that on the fly," he stated flatly. "I get the feeling you're more the type that could probably get people killed than actually trying to save them." Though that goes to say with almost everyone in existence. Some people did some stupid shit that could get others hurt or sent six feet under too soon.
The nineteen year old university student listened to the story that Seyka woven in return of his tale. Even going as far as using his story to add addition to her own. A village idiot? Was that seriously the best she could come up with? That was sure a confidence booster right there. Yup. "Heroes are overrated anyways. Most of the time those who're branded with such a name are frequently unappreciated."
They were just people the majority used when it was convenient and when it's not, they brush aside. Often times than naught the stories of their adventures or names are twisted up over the years. It was a form of immortality but legends quite frequently tended to get bended like a pipe-cleaner. "Are you done now? You had your fun and games. Can I learn your name now?" he asked flat out directly. "If not then I'll take my leave right here, right now."

| Goodness, he sure wasn’t a patient one now, was he? She chewed on her bottom lip to refrain from prolonging her giggling. That would only upset him further. Time to be as serious – Ooooh! There was a special going on for white chocolate macadamia cookies. She had to grab a dozen before the end of her visit. She shook her head vigorously trying to keep her focus back on the blonde youth in front of her. Right, she was supposed to give him her name now. “I suppose you've earned it now~ No need to get testy,” she said with her effervescent smile. “My name's Seyka.”
The tea in her cup was just a few gulps away from being finished. Got to make the most of it before it was all gone. She fluttered her eyelashes a couple of times listening to him explain that heroes were overrated. Her smile waning slightly.
“Heroes don’t have to be the characters you hear about in video games, stories or comic books, you know~ They could be everyday people in your life as well.” There were many influential people who helped Seyka decide what route she wanted to take. Certainly this guitarist had somebody he looked to that got him the guitar he played beautifully as he does in the present.
“Do you have someone you look up to~? Someone who inspires you to be the best at what you love?” she inquired with innocent curiosity. Head slightly tilted to the side.

@sey Sorry for the hold up. T.T | He never really considered time to be his ally as far as time went. Especially not as of recently with the two short years he has in order to figure something out. Find a way to hit his names up in lights to prove his parents wrong. As lame as it gets, he wanted to show them that following his dream wasn’t a waste of time or the money invested in keeping him in school to further his education. It was good to have a stupid piece of paper saying that he’s got a degree in something, but that was only one merit.
He wanted the kind of accomplishment he could obtain in his own hands. So when he becomes famous, he’ll be known for getting it on his own. This was the right path to take when in time he had to face his family at the end of the conflict of it all.
Finally. He wasn’t sure if he could trust the name he was given. It sure was a weird one. Though he had something he could call the girl aside from Powder Puff. Now he needed to return the favor as well since she didn't know his name either. "I'm Julian. Not Juli, not Ian or Jules. Just Julian." He took his water to wash down the cake he finished up beforehand.
When she asked him if he had somebody that he looked up to it was only natural that he went silent. The frown on his face prominent as he looked at the rim of his glass of water. It wasn’t like he didn’t have someone, but rather they’re no longer among the living. "My grandfather," he answered simply, "At least back when he was still living. He was the one who inspired me to become a musician. Try to form a band and make it big, because he was once in a band when he was my age. Back in ye olden days."

| Normally, when someone asks a person who was their role model or hero in their life – it usually tends to lean on the parents that raided them as children. That wasn’t such a case for the young man who introduced himself as Julian. It seemed that the gift of making music ran in his family rooting back to his grandfather. A high school band that got together and managed to get lucky getting a record label.
“What was the name of band your grandfather played in?” she asked eagerly. “I may know em'.” If not then it wouldn’t be hard to track the record they were signed onto during that time frame. Having a name of the band made things easy since it was good to keep track of who was under what record company.
NOTES: It's fine. I'm falling a little behind myself. </3 |

@sey totally just made up a band name | Nobody came close to holding the amount of respect he held for Grandfather Leventis. The man had a will made out of iron with a low tolerance for youth’s bull-crap. It was because of this man’s strength the nineteen year old could confide in him about his family troubles. Funny, his grandfather didn’t really hide about how he was in a band that made it pretty big back in the day, but didn’t mention it up until Julian found out about his old records.
Why were they hidden? Because his father didn’t want the idea of becoming something as reckless as a musician influence his only son to do anything that could ruin his life.
"The Golden Mile," he answered, "My grandfather was the lead guitarist, and back up singer." He had some doubts that the pinkette would know of the band. Their fame lasted a good while but the fate of musicians were usually swept away with the airwaves. There will always be new artists out making songs. Julian hoped that he'll be one of those rising stars.

| “The Golden Mile?” she repeated. She blinked a couple of times absentmindedly. Julian was right on the money upon assuming she probably didn't know about it, because she really didn't. The moment the band's name came straight from the teen's lips she couldn't even draw the slightest idea of who made up such a group.
Definitely had to be one of those bands that got swept under the rug too quickly for what it was really worth. Such was the sad existence of music. The songs will always be there but the faces of the bandmates tended to fall into the shelves of history.
“You actually got me on this one. I've never heard of that band before. By any chance do you know what record company label they contracted under?”
