10/15/2013 - EVENT CONTEST For everyone who has an idea for an event and wants it to be a thing, here's a contest for you to do just that! Just post them here before 12:00 am EST on October 24th for a chance to have an event you imagined become reality. Whoever gets the most events picked will win our grand prize. You can find all the prizes listed below.

Well, my idea isn't really original since this was done on another site before. So I take no credit for this, but I thought this could be a lot of fun. Might share it with Ambrosia if you guys may find it interesting~
Basically, it's a Masquerade~!
The way the Masquerade is set up: people could enter as many or as little characters into this event. It can get pretty massive depending on how many join. Very simple procedure like any event: signing up, but here's the kicker: they don't post on their actual character accounts, they post as guests. To give the air of mystery behind it, you know~?
No post templates, colored dialog, etc are used that makes your posts stand out. Just the whole blockquote/justify/small text. Oh, and just bold dialog text! Each character signed up will be given a flower name (or whatever the staff wishes to use) and that's how people address one another/post on their guest accounts through their flower names. They can describe dresses, masks but don't give away eye color or hair color.
It's important that nobody knows whose flower is who (save for the staff member who assigns them their flowers). Because at the end of the event, you can host a guessing game on Who's Who and perhaps give prizes out on who got the most correct guesses.

1. It's a game where all the characters are transformed into talking animals (spirit animals, patronuses, yeah) and a classic British Hunter like the one in jumanji is chasing them with... cerberus spawn? In order to win, participants must essentially survive.
2. A seance or ouiji board event, maybe with ?abysss? I'm thinking instead of summoning the dead as planned, participants instead enter a sort of spiritual, misty dungeon where they are confronted by the demons/physical manifestation of their flaws/traumas/regrets/fears and must defeat them. The idea sort of plays on the myth of how only evil is contacted through the boards, and that even when we think we are talking to good spirits, we are actually talking to lying ghouls that through the summoning of the ceremony can latch on to people and bring about their ruin.
3. Ghost pirate ship pulls into the harbor with a flag symbolizing it was infected with bubonic plague. There is no crew, and it sets sail when people have boarded. A blood ruby is the cause of the curse. (It's from africa, was pulled from a volcano mine, and is sort of possessed by a homesick hot-tempered volcano nymph.) People have to find it and defeat it. Pressure: the ship starts to sink. I told kitty the gen ship map, where the thing is hidden, and how to defeat it (as i think.)
4. Something in which pokemon become real.
