With work finished early this Saturday, Konrad figured that it wouldn't do any harm to just take a small stroll through the park. He was quite aware that he had an essay to write and pages to read off a biology book for classes, but for the time being he was going to reward himself with a few minutes of extra time to relax before he got back home to face those assignments waiting for him. He knew that he could very well at least finish the essay tonight if he paced himself right for the rest of the day. Hopefully Acheron wouldn't be bringing a cat home today and there causing the usual ruckus and chaos in the house. Not that he was never guilty of doing the same thing. So hopefully, he wouldn't run into a stray today that would just end up following him to the point that he just had to give him. If it was one thing he just couldn't have self-control over, it was when it came to animals. He really did have a soft spot for them.
Dogs on leashes walked by with their owners, children chasing after each other in a fun game of tag and other people who seemed to just be leisurely taking a stroll like he was doing passed by his field of vision. The park was far from being the most quietest of places but the open air and greenery made up for any loud noises and distractions. It was always a treat after being in the studio with bright lights and flashes of the camera along with the eyes of many directed at him.
Something, or rather, someone, lightly collided with his arm as he walked on with with eyes distracted with his surroundings. "Ah, sorry," he said, turning to give a small smile to whoever it was. He blinked at his recognized a familiar face. His smile widened slightly. "Hello, Gracie," he greeted the girl. "Here by yourself?" | words: xxx tag: @gracie notes: yaaay, first thread with laika |

@konrad
Gracie always seemed to be loaded down, arms occupied with something or another, though she still had a spring in her step and a smile on her face. In one arm dangled a reusable shopping bag – canned goods and other foods to donate, while her other arm clutched a bagged loaf of bread to her chest, carefully so as not to crush it. The weight of the shopping bag set her slightly off balance as she walked, brushing shoulders with somebody. She looked up, recognizing him just as he did her. Her eyes lit up. It was nice to run into a friend, especially one like Konrad that made it a rare occasion. "Mm-hmm. I'm feeding the ducks." She nodded, and indicated as best she could with arms full, to the bread. Naturally, he was invited to join her, but Gracie decided to say it aloud anyways. To be polite and encouraging. "Are you busy?" she asked with a grin.

"Ducks, huh?" he said after her as his eyes traveled down to the loaf of bread that was clutched to her chest. Knowing Gracie, this was something that she would do and would enjoy doing it too. A smile lit up her features and it didn't take more than a second to guess what was coming up next.
A quick look at his watch told him what time it was. His short stroll before going back home was no longer going to be short anymore. Who knows how long he would spend out here if he went with her because it might not just end up being ducks to feed. But the idea of spending time with the feathery creatures was, to be honest, a bit appealing to him. Anything that had to do with animals appealed to him, really. Though it's just that he hadn't done fed ducks in a long time. Well, yeah, there was the other day last week when he threw grains for some pigeons, but that was different.
"I don't mind tagging along with you for a bit," he eventually told her. "Lead the way." Someone needs to keep him in check when it comes to these things... | words: xxx tag: @gracie notes: yaaay, first thread with laika |
