Seriously though... Reno and Julian are an unlikely pair, but we're all about mix and meshing things up. That's totally cool. If they were meeting for the first time then there would be bumps, bruises and black eyes between the two. Luckily, we've talked about them being childhood friends - so both of their personalities have become 'normal' to one another. /o/ They met as classmates back in grade school since they're the same age as one another. Though I can imagine as kids it would've taken some time to warm up to one another. xD I can imagine that Julian would've been the voice of reason in order to mitigate (even just a little) of Reno's trouble magnet issues. On the flipside, Reno could be the one who basically tells Julian to man the fuq up. It all works out, right?
So somewhere down the road, it was thanks to the two diggin' through Julian's grandfather's old things - the old guy was in a band back in his youth and the songs on the album were pretty good for classics - did it spark inspiration (at least for Julian... maybe it had some influence on Reno) to get into the music business.
Then the conflict came about with Julian's family. They don't approve of the blonde boy of becoming a musician. It doesn't help that his best friend/childhood friend is also a major delinquent. Julian's parents basically wanted to break the two apart. They hoped that with Reno out of his life then Julian would "see the light" and chose a better career path. Needless to say there was a lot of angst there. Ah, but not even the power of famiry could break the chains that made the bonds of Julian and Reno's bromance, man. It was just that strong. Since these two are aspiring musicians, that just adds more respect to the package. Thus we have these two kids, maybe trying to get a band together and try to become successful, etc, etc.
Now these two are college kids and still pursuing their dreams. Will they see their desires come true? Or will it fall into the pits of ruin? Only RPing will tell us the answer! \o/
Julius & Julian We talked briefly about these two, but might as well make it all official. Ha, thought I was only here for Reno, huh? Nope, nope. Julius gets some lovin' too. [:
Julius and Julian are cousins. Needless to say that with Julian's family being one complex rubix cube as it is - his relationship with Julius isn't an exception. Like when the whole disapproval of becoming a musician phase started Julian's parents would constantly make remarks on how he should take after his cousin. The boy needed to think about becoming something that would promise bringing in the moniez. That left the poor boy to have a very bitter image towards Julius. ; A ;
That isn't to say that all hope is lost! Julian is aware that it isn't fair for him to be judging Julius over what his parents say about the guy. In fact, if he puts all that aside then Julian really respects Julius. Plus he's family. He just wishes that his stupid parents wouldn't always make comparisons between them. Since you know, Julius used to want to be an actor - which is like a performer - before he turned to become a cop. Yeah, a strained-bromance, yes? c:

reno & angel
yeah, that works! just angry kids angry at the world. they probably cut class together and got into all sort of trouble round the neighbourhood. i think if they did eventually confide in each other it was more just complaining to each other but never really going into detail about things. angel was terrified of being found because there was a search for him after he disappeared and he didn't really want to go to jail you know, so he would have avoided the neighbourhood at all costs - for quite a while actually. i mean now he's gotten a bit careless and he pretty much assumes that everyone more or less forgot about him. he'd also be very uh embarrassed to be recognized because like he knows that noah would have hated his future self and he really tries to keep these things separate.
julius & angel
like i said, angel is pretty easy to fool, especially if he's clubbing and drunk and just convinced that julius is that interested in him, so angel probably wouldn't get suspicious as much as love the attention. julius could always like, overhear angel talking to someone else about his crimelord boyfriend, just a mention of nev that piques his interest. i mean most of angel's friendships are pretty fake and surface level anyways - he doesn't really get personal until he gets reeeeally drunk so it's not like he'd really be this endless fountain of useful information. but even if julius outright asked about his boyfriend angel would be willing to talk, though mostly he would just complain and talk about all the things nevada bought him and leave julius to pick out something useful. but yeah, they'd get along well, julius is one of the few people who could put up with angel in larger doses and angel would consider him a friend, too - obviously not someone he blindly trusts but not someone he's especially wary about. also as a sidenote angel will prooooobably try to get julius in bed, because he does that with everyone.
julius & jamie
oh man this sounds too cute! jamie wouldn't know how to react because he is not used to siblings and uh... normal family stuff. he'd definitely try to help, though depending on how much sleep he's gotten i'm not sure how much help he'd actually be. but yeah, he'd be kind of suspicious just because he was raised that way, mafia family and all, not to trust people - especially nice people. he wouldn't avoid or dislike julius for it and he'd still try to be polite, but definitely have trouble keeping up with all that energy haha.
reno & isobel
yep, she's studying art and there's only like one university anyways so they would all go to the same one probably, they could even have an elective together or run into each other on campus or something. but yeah, they could meet anywhere - and they do. reno would probably have to insigate because isobel keeps to herself mostly, but she doesn't put up with shit and certainly wouldn't put up with reno's. usually she's pretty ambivelent about people, even those she's not that fond of, but i can eventually see reno just like, being one of those people that just gets on her nerves so much and she wants to beat him and she just gets like uncharacteristically competitive haha.
julius & aster
at first she'd be friendly too, but eventually he'd see her getting fed up with his saccarine sweetness and just go from nice to curt and polite and then to just suspicous. like she can't trust him, she's sure that julius is not really like that, even though mostly she doesn't care and wants to be left alone. but she can't escape him, he's everywhere and the more they meet the more she decides she doesn't like or trust him. but yeaaah!
these are all great ilu~ i'm really full up with threads atm but once i get some of my current ones finished we need to thread for sure ok?!

MORI | RENO & JULIAN MORI MORI BROI'M FUQIN' READY. MY BODY'S FUQIN' READY. But seriously, if Luke, Reno, and Julian really were all meeting each other for the first time, they'd be each other's worst enemies—which makes me laugh, 'cause childhood history with these guys mean everything and is pretty much the magic formula we three have going on in order to make their bromance work! I feel like our boys could like FYE's bro trio, y' know what I mean? Except, in this case, Kikue = Luke, 'cause blue hair. It'd just be a wee bit dysfunctional with how clashing their personalities are when Julian's the ice, Luke's the water, and Reno's the fire, essentially (unlike Ryu and Nevi's perfect thunder and lightning harmony, lol idk why i'm throwing elements in, but w/e you get me, right-). So, anyway, thumbs up to everything you said! You've pretty much nailed down the plot to a perfect tune. THIS IS BASICALLY A STORY ABOUT TWO BOYS WHO [CAN SORT OF] BRING OUT THE BEST IN EACH OTHER & ARE STRIVING TO MAKE IT BIG IN MUSIC W/ THE POWER OF BROMANCE (and talent on the side, ofc). idk about you, but I already love them as much as our original bros—like, even though there are some similarities with the duo's passion for music like the other pair, they have enough differences that it's just unghhh beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. FAMILY, FRIENDS CAN MOVE ON OUT, if Julian needs his bro, Reno will be there in a blink of an eye. Nothing can tear these two apart. Bc /k gonna stop now before I ramble about the beauty of bromance JULIUS & JULIAN Oh gosh, I feel like these two cousins could have actually gotten along when Jules had once aspired to become an actor and shared similar "hopeless" dreams as Julian, the same dreams their families scoffed and rolled their eyes at. Although Julian wanted to go for music and Jules aimed for acting, they sort of had each other's backs against their relatives in a sense that they believed in each other's capabilities? I've no doubt that, back then, Jules would have politely defended Julian if Julian's parents ever remarked something about the low chance of success in music, and therefore, also squeezed himself into this older brother-like role whenever he came down from the States to visit? But bam, shiet happens, and Jules quits acting school and becomes a cop, so when he drops by Nova Athenis for a little family reunion with Julian's fambam, it's like wtf happened to you. Cue Julian's parents starting the comparisons between the boys, claiming how Jules saw the light and now Julian should, too, etc. Aside from that, I'm pretty sure Julius, while amiable as always, would feel almost envious towards Julian? 'cause Julian's the kid he could have been, the kid who still has a shot at his dreams, the kid—the side of himself—that he abandoned. | HI AYU. here we have dex. she's complicated and poor jules now have to deal with her. ANYWAYS. dex has been on the force since she was nineteen, fresh out of the academy. she's worked in various different places while undercover, as far as the slums and as high as a billionaire's lover, simply for information. she's the best of the best and only recently has she been off her game. she's recently lost her partner, an apparent death, though that's all she knows. that's where jules comes in. julius is desideria's new partner, and one she hasn't quite warmed up to. we talked about jules being trained a couple months back by her former partner, which is how they could have ended up together. her old partner could have set it up that way.
but, yeah. where jules and happy and hyper, dex is more reserved and calm, looking out for others and more cautious. she'll be pretty distant from him at first, tbh. she doesn't like getting close to people and most likely won't tell him about her younger siblings at first. BUT YEAH THAT'S ALL I GOT OKAY IT'S TERRIBLE. |

JULIUS & DESIDERIA eee- COPS COPS COPS!! i'm really looking forward to this plot, mostly because of the shared cop background and the concept of being partners against crime—like, just the whole idea of learning to have complete faith in each other when shit hits the fan is like, unnghhh, so beautiful. julius knows that the foundation for good teamwork lies in communication, and with him being a natural extrovert, he'd do what he can to bridge a trusting relationship with his senior, even if she's guarded. although jules has graduated from the police academy back in the states and was taught largely by dex' former partner, he's like that mischievous puppy who'd run off to do his own thing from time to time, and in their field of undercover work, plans always seem to fluctuate, so desideria would probably be the person who'd have to reel him in when it seems like he's stepping too far into deep waters. so, anyway, dex—along with a handful of the police—are pree much the only folks who'd be aware that he's an actual cop outside of his "full-time" writer gig, and if she ever needs a person to help work something in the background whenever she's in her undercover zone, like say, buy more time with a suspect, then she could totes depend on jules to do shiet like holding up traffic by accidentally bicycling into a car, cutting in line to a musical to create a scene... idk. aside from that, we'll see how they interact in a thread! c8 AND YOU DID FINE, RAV. your plot was neat to read! this is on the wrong account but w/e omg reno and winnie are /a lot/ a like. except nowadays winnie tries really hard to be nice and she absolutely loves sweets. she works at a bakery! lol she used to be a troublemaker in highschool as well but now that she's moved to nova she's trying to "reform" herself. altho ppl with equally as pissy attitudes as her bring out the bad side of her and she will gladly fight with him. she is very protective of her friends as well so i think it'd be interesting to see them get close as enemies but have an unspoken love/hate dynamic??? idk how that would work out or if you'd want to do that ;w; idk any ideas?

RENO & WINNIE sorry for taking a while to reply! the first time i read this, though, i was like: love/hate relationship = yes to the max! absolutely everything you said, i love. while the two have plenty of similarities that any other people would normally bond over, it just doesn't work that way with their personality type; they're not normal, ahaha. that, and they have enough small differences to carry that intense friction against each other. winnie loves sweets, reno absolutely despises it. she tries to be nice, but he just goes fuck it and, well, they just bring out nasty sides in each other. but because they're a lot alike, they sort of have this unspoken dynamic that you suggested? like, they could tear each other's hairs out, spit fireballs at each other and all that shiet, but they sort of have this, uh, gravitation towards each other /because/ there's not many people out there who are as bad-tempered as them? thus the mutual understanding/ acceptance, even if they'd never admit it aloud. i'm really interested in seeing how they'd grow close as enemies, and i'm not sure how that would work out either, but i'd love to see how the relationship develops! whenever reno's assigned to buy stuff for a party with his flatmates, like sweets, he'd likely go to where winnie works at 'cause it's, like, the only bakery he knows- so just expect him to be, uh, a difficult customer with his lack of a sweet tooth idk. they could have first met when reno was in his phase of taking on odd jobs (such as playing delivery boy), so he could have been sent to drop off sacks of flour to the place winnie's a baker in and ofc they immediately don't like each other, and somewhere along the lines, a package of flour tears and they start having a flour war- aflag /sob i tried. BUT YEAHHH, BRUHH. love/hate is perf. |
