Tyson was an athletic boy, but he wasn't exceptionally tall for his age. He didn't know why he agreed to put these books away when they belonged to the highest shelf.
Oh right, he didn't. All he did was not saying anything when they dumped the book on him.
The chair he currently stood atop - stool - didn't feel as sturdy as he might have liked. It made a tiny screech when Tyson shifted his weight forward, tiptoeing on the edge of the cushion trying to push the inch-thick Encyclopedia Britannica back in line with the others. | [attr="class","ssslip"] |

kasper, of course, was turning into an errand girl it would seem. of course, she couldn't expect anything less from the teachers. they had someone there that was paying to be there, rather than being paid to be there. she needed to learn what kind of books she needed anyways, so it was a good thing she had gone. the young woman adjusted her dress, straightening the wrinkles as she wandered through the library, attempting to find the books the history teacher had sent her for. as she rounded the corner, she came upon a student, who seemed to be putting books away at a rather dangerous angle. kasper's eyes widened slightly ass he watched him wobble towards the edge of the chair. It took her a moment to move into action, grabbing another chair and pulling it over. She didn't say a word, simply stood up on the chair beside him and attempted to help the student put away the books. "it's dangerous for a student to do this" the teacher's assistant said as she shoved a book into it's place, wobbling back on her own chair. tag: @tyson ▪ ooc: wow i'm so rusty |

Another hand came into sight before his fingertips were no longer in contact with the book spine. Tyson's eyes darted to the side, startled by the woman's sudden appearance.
"Than- Thank you, um, Miss Hunt." The boy mumbled clumsily, hand retracting to his side. To be honest he wasn't entirely sure if that was her name or not. He'd only seen her a few times around the school, but he had never spoken to her— he wasn't exactly talkative when it comes to the opposite gender...... or in general.
He could feel the awkwardness coating over the silence (though it could be just him), but to leave the conversation hanging like this would just be rude, especially since she had helped him. "I was just... being careless. It's fine. Really." Tyson climbed down from the stool, "Thank you though." He offered her a shy smile but couldn't quite bring himself to make any eye contact.

Kasper, while she had her own awkwardness, smiled at the teenager. It wasn't often that one was faced with a younger student teacher, she'd noticed there weren't that many, nor any that bounced from school to school like she did. It wasn't unusual to see the young woman at the University or elementary school as well as the high school. A kind smile was on her features as she tried not to react to his stutter. She'd had one herself when she was younger, after being kicked out of her own house. She knew how it was to have people stare at you after stuttering like that. "It's not problem at all. I just didn't want you to be covered in a book avalanche. Those are never fun. Trust me on that" The white-haired teacher's assistant said. Out of habit, Kasper straightened the books in front of her, caressing the spines for a moment before she hopped down from her chair, glancing around the library. It was rather quiet this time of day, most students in the lunch room for their lunch break, though she'd never liked the lunch room, even when attending her own high school. She shook her head after a moment before returning her attention to the student. "Well, you did have quite a few books. But it's understandable. Books are the gateway to the imagination" Kasper said with a smile, reaching up for a novel and bringing it down. The grin on her features extended more as she read the title, then held it up for him to see, the title saying Beowulf. "Have you ever read this one? It's actually one of my favorites, even if it's hard to understand" She questioned, head tilted to the side. tag: @tyson ▪ ooc: wow i'm so rusty |
