KEEP THAT PERFECT BEAT BOY
| Behind an overpriced bakery and beside a gem of a flower shop was a small alley. Normally Vivien wouldn't find himself here - it was nowhere near his school or his apartment - but today, he found himself wondering here for a reason he couldn't quite remember. Was he doing food shopping? No, things here were overpriced, usually. Did he lose something? Not that... he could remember.
Either way, a chorus of meows caught his attention. In fact, they were more like yelping and yapping for attention. Without realising it, Vivien had already found himself inside this alley, ruffling the dirty fur of little balls. Their eyes reminded him of his own kitten.
The corners of his mouth lifted a little.
"Are you lonely?" He asked them because he wouldn't get an answer. "No, no you're hungry." Tickling the chin of one and watching the other struggle to get on his feet, Vivien thought buying cat food was too much work.

Damn, why was Vivien on his mind so much? It wasn't fair. Every time he thought about him, which was a lot mind you, his heart started to flutter - his hands started to sweat. It was like a bad high. He didn't like it but he craved it. Vivien was a bad drug to Junjie, and he didn't even know why.
Lately the blond had started to enter the sanctuary of his dreams, visions of flesh practically melting together had started to take over his dreams. Were his feelings of lust? Were they love? He didn't know.
He checked the sweetshop for him, he wasn't there. It was evident from the sounds coming from the alleyway that someone was there, or kittens were crying for their mother. Cats were pretty cute, Junjie had to admit, he might pick himself up one and a large dog. Junjie liked large threatening looking dogs, he needed something to guard his apartment.
Curiosity took the best of Junjie, and he took a sharp turn into the alleyway. Almost surprised when he saw Vivien there, he looked so serene, almost angelic among the dirty little cats. Junjie's mouth felt dry. "Are you lonely?" He managed to choke out.

| Vivien felt his blood run cold. His fingers stiffened, and the kittens yelped louder. Their fur was straw like, and the half Italian wanted to just focus on that. Not memories that made him want to hurl out his insides.
His reply came after a long pause, and he never looked up. "That's nothing to do with you."

Junjie didn't expect a kind greeting, he wasn't stupid. He moved in closer, he ran a hand through his hair. "Why?" He questioned - almost like a small child. "I'd like it to be." He leaned forward, his eyes were on the cats rather than Vivien.
He had trouble being honest, especially with himself. A hand reached down to touch a cat, patting it softly on the head. He tried to trick himself into thinking that Vivien wasn't there - that perhaps he was conversing with the cat, so his nerves would calm down but nothing worked.

| His entire body flinched, edging away from Junjie as much as he could. He had no right to tell him to move away, leave this area because he didn't want to be in a ten mile radius as this guy, because the kittens didn't move away.
Instead, he chose to ignore the man he only knew by name. Which didn't last very long.
"Why... then? Why me?"

| "Why the fuck are you asking me." Vivien narrowed his eyes, no longer petting one of the kittens. "It's all your fucking fault." He cursed under his breath. This wasn't meant to happen. He was supposed to have a normal life away from the mess he left in Europe, then in Japan - where could he go now, to find a peaceful life?
"It's all your fault. I wish you'd stop pretending everything's fine when it's so obviously not. I don't want this, at all."

That was funny, generally funny. It caused Junjie to laugh. "You're so innocent, almost angelic, you know that? It's like the world has barely tainted you if I'm the worst of your problems." He stood up.
Perhaps we're just different breeds of people. He thought to himself.
"Yeah well I, I, do want this." Junjie clenched his fists. Honesty, honesty, fucking honesty wasn't one of Junjie's strong points - with himself and with others. He hated it.
All Junjie wanted was to, just be with him. He didn't even know how to say it. "Punch me?" He nearly questioned the next words out of his mouth - clearly Vivien was mad at him for beating the living shit out of him, and don't get Junjie wrong he didn't feel bad. He didn't empathize, he just wanted this to be over.

| Vivien stood up, suddenly feeling completely repulsed. He was sick of games. All of them. And he knew, it was glaringly obvious that Junjie was just playing with his mind.
"Angelic?" He snapped with bitter laughter. "Innocent... Angelic... You're fucking kidding me. And I bet you aren't, you sick bastard. I'm a man, not a doll."
Vivien knew Junjie wasn't in the right sense mind. But this, this was just plain insulting. So with his fist clenched, it moved close to the side of the man's head, but opened to flick him on the forehead instead.
"I don't succumb to violence." He said to himself as he walked past the taller man to get out of the alleyway. It was making him uncomfortable.

Junjie was ready for it - he didn't even close his eyes, he didn't flinch. He watched Vivien's fist like a hawk, eyes never left his knuckles until it reached his head and he.... he flicked him? That was obviously a flick and it left Junjie dumbfounded. He had an open shot, he wasn't even going to hit him back. How couldn't he have taken it?

| His heart seemed like it was ramming against his chest heavily as Junjie came closer. Vivien tried to prepare himself for any possible reaction from him.
When Vivien's collar was grabbed, he thought this was it. He was gonna spend more time staring at nurses at the hospital again, and living in a world of even more self hate.
Junjie's lips didn't taste nearly as bad as the humiliation, and Vivien couldn't deny the gut feeling in his stomach. He swallowed hard after they left, biting the edge of his lip, before wiping it with the back of his hand. There was a wavering look in his eyes, a mix of confusion and loathing.
Before he turned and ran, before he could say anything else to embarrass himself further.
