Dominick chuckled, nodding along to what Rocky had said. His reasons were a bit shady themselves, but then again they were justified in his mind, and that was all that mattered to him. Silence fell between the two of them, and within that silence Dominick managed to get yet another drink, and by the time it was half gone, Rocky had seemed to start talking again. Dominick debated telling the guy, after all he didn't even know his real name, so what was the harm in it? "My parents. They want me to inherit the family business, I don't really have a say in it. So I'm doing what I feel like doing up until then." Which was stealing, and it felt right in a way that he wasn't sure he'd be able to explain. "What about you? What's your story?" Curiosity asking to be sated, plus it only seemed fair for Dominick to know something about his drinking partner for the moment after sharing his own. ROCKY VANCE |

"Mm.... family business, hm? I hear those can be mighty stressful, especially when they're pushed onto the next 'heir'. Sorry you have to deal with it," Rocky replied, looking the charitable thief over. Upon being asked about his story, he wasn't sure what to say. It was fair that he gave a little information about himself, but what is it that the guy wanted to know? "Well... I came over here from Atlanta, Georgia--You uh... do ya know where that is?" Rocky asked, narrowing one eye as he leaned over towards the guy, getting closer. "It's a state in America."

Dominick shrugged, just figuring that it would be any normal occurrence for someone like him, accustomed to growing up in an environment with such expectations. Thankfully for him, his parents weren't going to be giving him the corporation for a while, but that just meant longer for him to get what he wanted to do done before he would be tied down. "Yes, I know where Atlanta, Georgia is. The capital, that state right above Florida." He chuckled, surprisingly lacking in annoyance like he would have been had anyone else questioned him like Rocky did. Then again, even if he didn't know he would have played it off like he had, and then the both of them would be at a loss. "Why aren't you still there?"ROCKY VANCE |

A broad grin spread across his slightly tanned face when his drinking buddy recognized the place he was from. He wasn't expecting anyone around there to actually know of individual states. Naive him. He let out a hum at the question, swirling the drink in his glass as he pondered whether or not he should actually delve that deep into his affairs. "I got tired of it; wanted to be somewhere else. There's not much going for Atlanta anyway. Just full of pretentious wannabes, gang wars, assholes who think they're better than you are," he stated with a shrug. It was partially true, though there was more to the story Rocky felt this guy didn't need to know right now, if at all. Maybe one day, if they ended up being close friends would Rocky actually go deeper into his personal past life, but not right now. It didn't matter anyway; it wasn't all that exciting. Actually, it was a little bit pathetic and he definitely didn't feel like looking pathetic to someone in the middle of a bar. "Mm... you still not feeling up to letting me know your real name, Mr. Robin Hood?" Rocky asked after a few moments, traces of his smile still evident on his face. "I promise that you'll get more out of me if you don't hide, if that's what you're wanting. I don't pity-party to strangers~"

"I know how that song goes." Dominick chuckled, swirling the drink around in his glass before taking another sip. The familiar buzz was settling down in his head, and it was a warm comfort compared to some of the other feelings he was prone to. Disgustingly prone to. "If I could just up and leave Nova, I would. Alas, I cannot."Shrugging, Dominick decided that he wasn't going to continue drinking - he wasn't up for risking giving Rocky more information than he needed. "A risk, huh?" Rocky looked over at his mystery chain giver, perking a brow at the latter end of his statement. A smirk tempted to spread across his face again, but he kept it at bay, not wanting to seem like an asshole. "For future reference," Rocky began, deciding to be a little bit helpful, seeing how this guy was being rather nice, "I'm no snitch."The southerner lifted up his glass as if to toast to that statement, then threw his head back and drank everything in his glass down with a quick gulp, hissing afterwards as the liquid burned so good as it went down his throat. Rocky wasn't a bad guy and he wasn't normally a douche. He tried to be as friendly as the his personality and the environment around him allowed. Currently, his personality was "Buzzed Past Caring" and the environment seemed fair enough. "What gives you the feeling we'll meet again, mm?" He couldn't help but ask and he felt it was a fair question. |

Lifting a brow at Rocky, Dominick grinned. "That's exactly what a snitch would say." As far as he was concerned, Rocky could have been an undercover cop. Doubtful, but if he didn't know his name, then no harm was done. He did like Rocky, though. Nice guy, fun to drink with. "Gut feeling, I suppose." A shrug, Dominick tipped his glass back, finishing it off. "It was nice meeting meeting you, though, Rocky." Dropping off enough money for the two of them, he grabbed his coat and left. ROCKY VANCE i guess if you want to finish- i uh uh can't think of anywhere else this would go. i wouldn't mind having another thread though!!! ;u; |
