| Glass of bourbon in one hand, idly flipping through a magazine with the other, he found himself spacing out as he slowly sipped the drink. At certain intervals, he'd run out of bourbon and have to get it refilled, but by the time he had hit the back cover of the magazine he stole from a table, Erik instead decided to find entertainment elsewhere.
Though, the people sitting around him were rather boring. Another businessman who only wanted to talk about his job, some girl looking for an outlet - standard bar-fare, really. Sometimes Erik wondered why he didn't just stay at home most nights.
"How has your day been, Vik?" He chirped from around the glass, flashing her a quick grin. "Spare me the usual 'fine's, too. I want details."

IT'S VICTORIA

sweater weather Viktoria was idly wiping down the back counters when she heard the familiar chime of Erik break through the bar hum. Usually, she'd regret not looking a bit neater when seeing a regular come in, but her slightly sweaty brow didn't concern her today. She had stories to tell. "Oh, don't you worry about details," Viktoria spun around, leaning over to plop her head to rest in her hands with a smile, "Tonight's been a freak show and a half." Her eyes lit up as she said this, relishing having someone to tell about the kinds bull she had to see every day. Erik was the best customer. "So, the night starts off with someone coming in wasted already, right? So the second he cops a feel on a staff member, we throw him out. But then his girlfriend comes in and yells at us for letting him touch other girls! And that was just the start, we had the usual amount of old men creeping on girls and that's all just what happened to me today." Viktoria took a few deep breaths after letting that all go rapid fire. Her accent had even begun to bleed through somewhere in the middle, but she didn't mind. Getting to tell all the stories she'd been practicing telling someone was worth it. @erik |

| Viktoria pulled herself from cleaning the counters to talk to him, and as her short story went on he found himself grinning over at her. A freak show and a half didn't seem to cover it. "You're kidding me." Hardly, and to his amusement it seemed like she was only just beginning with her story. Stories? It was an endless stream.
Doing this, though, it was like he was inviting her to share with him her troubles. Going from his boring day in the office to hearing about something that was hopefully more interesting. Creepy dudes, drunk escapades - anything was more interesting than signing a stack of papers and listening to people complain. Unfortunately, it happened to be the light he managed to inherit.
"Just today? What happened throughout the week?"
