Coffee, She had to have coffee. If she was going to work today, only the dark colored liquid could get her through the day. A sigh escaped her lips as the white-haired woman wrapped her slender hands around the syrafoam cup. She'd started coming in here at the beginning of the school year, and all the regular employees knew her by her coffee. Medium with no sugar and very little cream. A dash of caramel and butterscotch and she was golden. Kasper glance down at her watch, seeing she had some time to waste before attending classes. Well, now that she thought about it, it was a Saturday, so there were no classes, and the fact that it wasn't nearly the time she thought it was. The young woman blinked. Well, her timing was off.
Moving through the cafe, she all but closed her eyes as she took a drink, finding her usual table and taking a seat without seeing there was anyone else there. As she placed her cup down, and glanced up, she blinked, then blinked again at the person sitting on the other end. "I'm so sorry! I didn't notice anyone here!" She said, rather panicked. It wasn't every day you sat down with a rather attractive man. And Kasper was very easily flustered by this, all but hiding behind her slender coffee cup as she moved to stand up. NEVADA RAINES

A coffee warmed one hand as the other cradled an opened book. He occasionally sipped the beverage in the Styrofoam cup, though he was mostly lost in the words contained within the pages of his book. Nevada probably read that book over a hundred times already, yet it never failed to hold his attention for hours. It was a little harder to focus on the book than usual, however. He was troubled by the recent turn of events in his home. Somehow, a young woman had managed to make her way over without his notice. Her voice nearly started him when she spoke up. “It is all right.” He replied, closing his book as not to be rude. She was getting up though. Usually he’d let her leave, however, he wanted the company. “You do not have to leave.” KASPER HUNT

She froze as he spoke, so formal sounding. That was how she had sounded before Erik had picked her up, and she wondered briefly if they were from the same place, but she shook that thought away. She didn't want to think about that old life of hers, filled with unwanted memories and feelings she never could place. She glanced at the book cover, head tilted to he side like a curious parrot might look. She couldn't help but be curious about it, this very pretty man. And she wasn't saving that to be nice. In all honesty, she'd never met a prettier man, not that men liked being called pretty. Between Iggie and Erik, she'd gotten used to the rough looking men that this one in front of her was like a sigh of relief.
As she moved to leave, he stopped her, making her turn her head towards him, once more a curious expression on her features. "Are you sure? I hope I'm not taking someone's seat. " She replied, taking the seat she was about to abandon. Erik was always saying she needed to paying attention to what she was doing, but no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't seem to focus all that well on her surroundings. "Is that book good? I've heard of the author, but haven't heard of that title" She questioned, holding her cup between her cold hands. NEVADA RAINES

Few people possessed the ability to pique his interest. However, it seemed more and more people were able to as of late. He wondered why that was. Perhaps it was because of Angel? The blonde brought him out of his comfort zone and force him to a variety of social events. Angel loved the life style Nevada providing him—the diamonds, the clothing, and the other luxuries. But he didn’t want to think of Angel. It only reminded him of things he wished to forget, like seeing him in bed with another man. “It is fine. I am alone.” He set the book down on the table, lifting the coffee up to sip instead. “I enjoy it. It is one of my favorites.” He answered. Nevada wasn’t used to anyone being interested in what he was reading. “Have you read any titles by this author?”KASPER HUNT

Kasper couldn't help but watch him. It wasn't usual that a man could be so… Pretty. But in a handsome sort of way. She tilted her head to the side slightly, chin resting in her hands as her elbows leaned against the table. This was how she sat when someone interested her, and right now, this man did. She watched as he placed the book down, talking so formally. It was quite endearing, actually.
She blinked as his words processed in her head, realizing it had been a moment or two after he'd spoken. She sat at right up, smiling shyly. "Oh, well I haven't in a long while. Unfortunately, I don't have a lot of time to read" Or really, the attention span. Kasper had to hard time reading in crowded areas, and even at home. She still had that fear someone was going to come in and attack her while she wasn't paying attention. Just thinking about it had the white-haired girl stiffening slightly, and glancing around, almost nervously.

He wasn't accustomed to the the attention he had garnered from the lovely woman seated across from him. Angel never looked at him with such fascination. Nevada was always pining for him instead. Was it worth it? His love meant nothing to the blonde. Why else would he take another man to their bed? He needed to stop thinking about the night before. It was better not to think about it. "Are you all right? You look uncomfortable." She had seemed fine up until she finished speaking. Shortly after, he watches her body go stiff. KASPER HUNT

Kasper's eyes turned back towards Nevada as he spoke, a sheepish smile coming over her features. "No, no I'm just fine! I promise." She commented, waving her hands slightly at him. Of course, that feeling came back, the feeling of being watched, and she glanced over her shoulder once more. She swore the guy in the corner was staring at her. Ducking her head down, she looked at her cup. "So, uhm, what other books do you enjoy? Maybe I'll start reading more." she said with an almost nervous smile.
She glanced over her shoulder once more, seeing that the man she thought was watching her wasn't in the corner anymore. A breath escaped her, before a hand clamped down on her shoulder, making her stiffen as the hand jerked her up. "Kasper? Kasper Hunt? Fuck me up a wall, it is you. I'd know that chest anywhere. Though, they look better without clothes on. You still in that business? I hope so. The man, who had been in the corner before, said to her as his eyes turned hungry and her face turned red. "N-no.. Please let go…"

Maybe spurred to interact with the young woman by Angel’s infidelity, or maybe not, for whatever reason, he continued to indulge in her company. Her fascination had gone away, replaced by something else. Reading emotions wasn’t his strong point. He could never tell what was going on in someone’s head by looking at them, nor did he care. Usually. The white-and-teal haired man was acting out of character. “Are you certain? You do not appear to be just fine. You seem troubled.” The smile she wore looked to him as if it were forced, a skittish smile that seemed reluctant to be on her lips. Her eyes wondered again. When they focused back on him, she seemed to shrink in her seat. A man appeared and snatched her by the wrist before he could question her further. “Sir, I must ask you to please unhand the lady. She and I were in the middle of a conversation before you so rudely interrupted.” KASPER HUNT

She had been doing so well without anyone recognizing her. And it felt worse to know that someone she'd just met, and barely had a conversation with, was witnessing this. Kasper sucked in a breath as heard the man's comments, to the one holding her. She blinked in shock at his words, before feeling the tense grip on her arm tighten. "She's ain't too good at talking. She's better with her mouth at getting between your legs, if you know what I'm talking about" He said with a loud laugh, tugging Kasper more. As she usually did, she went limp when someone had a tight grasp on her. There was no surprise when she did that. Her eyes turned between the men before she lowered them to the floor.
"But i'm not like that anymore...." She whispered, mostly for her own benefit. It wasn't normal behavior for her, not for the past few years. She was hoping those years wouldn't come back to haunt her, but there they were. When it seemed Nevada wasn't moving from the spot, the man seemed to get frustrated. "I'll take her off your hands, if you aren't gonna use her for what she's good at, y'hear?" NEVADA RAINES

“Were you not listening, or are you incapable of it? The young lady and I were in the middle of a conversation.” His voice had lost any hint of politeness, adopting a done laced with shards of ice. “She has said she no longer partakes in such activities and it’s obvious to me that she has no intent to do them again. What you are doing right now is considered sexual harassment. Would you like me to phone the police? I am sure they will be glad to give you a pair of shiny new bracelets and a unflattering orange jumpsuit.”He carefully coiled an arm around the frightened girl’s waist, carefully guiding her closer to him. “Shall we continue our conversation where we left off?” Nevada tipped Kasper’s head so his eyes could be level with hers. “We can relocate to somewhere with less vulgar patrons.”KASPER HUNT
