Okay so cbox discussion + skype chat with doxxie and we may be having a nova newspaper soon but we need characters to fill things (pretty sure doxxie is calling the dude who runs the whole thing??)

So just for section ideas we have stuff like news, entertainment, arts, business, fashion, politics, sports, weather, technology, gossip, advice, critic reviews, food, humour, etc like there's so many so just... pick one. And I guess a couple editors wouldn't hurt either, though I don't think anyone is actually gonna be reading over and editing the articles people write because... yeah

Since I already have Jenny made I'd like to keep her in entertainment if that's okay... whoever does critic reviews should work closely with her so they can be an entertainment/reviews kickass TEAM

Basically though it would be super cool if we could do an IC newspaper about the happenings of Nova and review the band and maybe write articles about "oh no the irish mafia" and follow around local celebrities and write stuff and then they can READ ABOUT THEMSELVES and maybe get angry and write in an editorial??? wow. such newspaper.

i will probably get in on this with a news/photojournalist character!

and an ic newspaper would be super fun! maybe instead of actually having the rpers of journalist characters doing everything we can let anybody submit things and collect them all into monthly issues or something? i could even set up a news account that people could pm their submissions, make a board, code a temp, etc.

AHHH I like that. It'd be way easier to organize it with a news account.
And the characters who are in the newspaper can have little board meetings and staff parties.

most newspapers have news, sports, opinion, arts & entertainment/life, and business, i think thats it? maybe variety.

fashion, food, critic stuff would be all under the life category! it helps to just narrow it down to the major sections so you don't run amok with sections. technology would probably be under business or life, depending on the scope of the article. weather is usually just a sidebar on the back, where they have like the sudoku and crosswords and stuff. politics would be business, i think. critics might be under opinion.

each section will have a section editor, and then theres the editor in chief. there might be other editors under each section editor, but thats not necessary (i dont think nova's paper is THAT huge)

and then there are writers and photographers for each section. a lot of the time the writers ARE the photographers, though some real photogs still exist in today's day and age. but journalists are expected to be a jack of all trades

there's also graphic designers, ad execs, circulation, administrative, whatever.

page layout is the domain of the editors and graphic designers.

and while actually playing out editors isnt functional for the IC paper, it is still fun to hae them around i guess? for plotting and rping purposes and shizzle. i dont know hwo ur gonna do the ic stuff i'll leave that to u and the staff

ideas for a paper:

Nova Athenis Sentinel (or Tribune, Daily, Post, Globe, look at other newspapers for inspiration)
Nova News Now (this is cheesy dont use it)
The Daily Nova or something idk

i'm bad at names
