Though she was out and waiting on the mall fountain bench, Anna was still having trouble believing this was actually happening. She had been playing more video games lately, and was even really getting into them. Yeah she felt like a nerd, but it's not like she even talked to anyone now so who cares. Her parents had bought her Grand Theft Auto V once they saw she was getting into doing something other than sulking around the house. It wasn't much better, but at least it was somewhat stimulating. To be plain, she sucked at them. Anna got mad whenever she didn't do things exactly right and had to just rage quit several times. But for some reason she found herself picking up the controller in fits of boredom and even going online on occasion. And that's where she actually made her first friend since coming to Nova Athenis. And now she was supposed to meet Ray in person. She had declined harshly a few times, but eventually gave in and felt high school level butterflies in her stomach when she realized it was actually going to happen. For reasons she didn't want to admit, Anna had put on clothes she liked and braided her hair nicer than usual. Maybe even some Bath and Bodyworks perfume. Definitely some Bath and Bodyworks perfume. Even still, while she did herself up to be what she wanted, she still felt self conscious and nervous. Extremely so, in fact, seeing as this was something she hadn't done in two or three years. She didn't wear a skirt or anything to draw attention to the Proth, but when she caught sight of someone who seemed like it might be Ray, she still held herself from jumping up to get "his" attention. Instead she just arched her back forwards in an attempt to draw attention to herself with a little wave. So little it was barely noticeable, just in case it wasn't Ray. |
