A product of a loveless marriage brought by the Irish mob of the Callahans and an Italian family dominated by politicians, Anna's views towards people were influenced by her parents—whose faithfulness to the other were complete with affairs and scandals (though the two are still together for the sake of face); the purpose of the marriage, really, was merely to establish the mafia's ties with a foreign government.

Rather than collecting information from social connections or through a network of other informants, Anna relies on technology to fetch her results, opting to utilize her familiarity with computers to hack and obtain requested information—whether that be recordings of a cheating spouse via traffic camera or sending a copy of shady bank statements to whomever that asked for it; the more time and effort she requires to scour through electronic sources, the heftier the fee. To avoid dealing with needy people, though, much of her income is usually from money laundering; charity and fundraising sites, a random guy's bank account—whatever convenient.

She has a habit of buying fishes that resemble people in her life, fish in which she then releases into the ocean after growing bored of them; her oldest gill-equipped companion, Killjoy, has been in her fish bowl for a month—a record.

She plays a variety of PC games, but has logged most of her hours in Sims, finding joy in puppeteering created characters and denying them ladders in swimming pools.

In order to avoid an arranged marriage discussed among her relatives in the Irish side of the tree, Anna hauled a chunk of cash from her family's personal account and fled to Nova Athenis—her favorite place in the world (partially due to a good memory from a childhood vacation that had both her parents actually acting like a real husband and wife).
