She was really hoping that her partner wasn't causing any trouble in his position. Posing as a teacher was never her favorite thing, but reports had come in about a group of college kids getting into drugs. And that was when Desideria was called in. When the university's main english professor left for surgery, Dex was called in to both take her place, and keep an eye out for any clues. thankfully, she'd already met her new partner, who was posing as a student. Sitting at her desk in the small office, Dex really wasn't prepared for this. she hadn't been in a classroom in years, not since her college days and earning her minor for english all those years ago. Needless to say, she was a bit rusty. The woman straightened out the papers in front of her, once again reviewing what name she was going by. Maria Finley. It was an alias she had gone by on her first assignment, one where she had been "married" and happily at that. A breath escaped the raven-haired woman as she glanced once more at her watch, seeing the time. It wasn't that she had a class, but she had been asked by one of the students for a small bit of help. Actually, it had been the former teacher that had been asked, but then the "surgery" came up, and now she was in the place. Gathering the supplies she needed, and the notes the professor left, Desideria moved from her office, heading down to the library. She had already gotten a briefing on this kid, blonde hair, sometimes wore glasses. He sounded oddly familiar, but she wouldn't let that get to her. She knew who Jules was, and the name the other was going by. It wasn't something like Killian Callahan. A good Irish name, if she had an opinion on it. Hopefully, he wouldn't be late. She was suppose to be having dinner with the twins later and actually wanted to cook, and not make Lacie cook. Finding a table, the "professor" took her seat, opening the file folder she had and looking over what she was asked to help this student with. |

He was so late! He honestly didn't mean it, one of the wheels of his skateboard had come off and he couldn't just leave his baby broken now could he? That would just be cruel; it'd be like leaving a friend with a broken leg. Still he'd managed to fix it so at least he could ride it so he could get to his lesson quicker than he would have done if he'd run.
Shoving the board under his arm, the blonde sorted out the collar on his jacked and brushed his hair back into place with his free hand. He wanted to make a good, well improved first impression. Being late probably wouldn't help that but at least if he looked presentable.
"Sorry about the lateness Ms!" the blonde apologized as he stepped into the classroom, taking the seat on the opposite side of the desk before pulling out his copy of the required text they were studying. Wuthering Heights, truly a classic. "So, where do we start?" he asked with a smile.

Dex glanced down at her watch, seeing that the student was late, then let out a sigh. Of course, she had been early to begin with, but it didn't help the fact that she had wanted to actually do something later on. The woman sorted through her papers once more, grabbing the book and flipping through the pages for a moment. This had been the book she had done her own senior thesis on in college. Another ten minutes passed, and now Dex was getting a bit irritated. Her eyes narrowed down slightly at the door, almost ready to call it quits on waiting when the form of a blonde-haied student came through the door. Obviously, the one she had been waiting for. "You do know you're a half hour late, correct?" Desideria questioned with a raised brow. She did shake her head after a moment as she straightened out her papers and placed her assignment papers away. She turned to the book, opening it up to the chapters he was suppose to have read the night before. The undercover police officer rolled her shoulders back as she crossed her arms over her chest. "I'm not sure. You asked for this extra lesson. I assume there were certain things you wanted to go over" She questioned. Now, if this was one of those moments where the student just wanted extra time with the teacher because she was attractive, well, she'd need to have a long talk with the boy. Desideria glanced the boy up and down, from what she could see. To be honest, if she was looking at him quickly, he'd look almost exactly like Jules. Sad, but true. At least all the blondes she'd met in the past looked the same. Dex raised a brow slightly at the student. "I do hope you actually read what was assigned. I know i'm a new teacher to this school, but I do hope we can keep on good terms" She said with a smile. |

"H-half an hour?" the blonde muttered under his breath, glancing up at the clock ... wow. He though he was a little bit late but that was something special right there. Well there was nothing he could do about it now, he just had to hope that she would still teach him after all this. All he could do was smile at the black haired woman as he sat down at the table before he could feel his smile wilt slightly under what he could only describe as a cold attitude ... though it was understandable, she had been kept waiting and dad had always said it was rude to keep a lady waiting, though he wasn't sure if that applied to teachers. "Of course!" Killian exclaimed, thumbing through the book before grinning at his new teacher, why, did she just think that he was all for wasting people's time? "I was wondering what your view w-" The irishman blinked slightly as he was cut off, why wouldn't he read the assigned book? It was a great book in his opinion and he needed it to fill out the essays he was going to get given on it? Honestly he was a little offended. "-as on the feminist reading of the first Catherine." Killian finished. He couldn't say he liked the character and he just wanted to see what someone elses opinion was on her! That was all! [ irony, i hated wuthering heights until i'd finished studying it |D ]

Desideria had a hard time with this personality. She was suppose to be some hard bitch, a mafia wife. And that's just what she was. Maria Finely was to marry the cousin of a certain mafia family, but she hadn't put that out there. Instead, she used a cold demeanor as a front. The kid that sat across from her was everything she wished her younger brother could be, but of course, Axel wasn't in college, and had some sort of affair with his couch. She shook her head slightly before returning her attention to Killian. Well, at least he had read the book. Most people that came in had no idea where to start, especially when she mentions there are two different Catherines in the story. She nodded slightly, before opening her own book.
"The elder Catherine clearly was just used, a typical female of that generation, but today, she can be used as a figure for most feminists. Sadly, most people blow it out of proportion" Desideria replied, flipping through the pages. She figured, now that they were actually sitting down and discussing, she could drop some of her act. "Now, tell me, was there really a difference between the two Catherines in the novel? Did Heathcliff treat them the same, or were their differences?" She questioned, eyes lifting towards him as she put her book down. KILLIAN CALLAHAN // this is late as well, and short /sobs

"I honestly couldn't say I liked her as a character, she just seemed to get on my nerves a bit," the blonde admitted. He felt sorry for her, yes, but some of her behavior was just abnormal to the point of her appearing crazy. 'Everyone couldn't help but love me', what even was that.
"Yes, Heathcliff adored Catherine, she was the only person in the world that understood him where as with Cathy he could only be reminded that they were never together and that she ultimately chose Edgar," the blonde replied with a nod, Cathy had also managed to escape a cycle of loveless relationships, Catherine had to die to escape it. |

Desi smirked slightly. It was true. The elder Catherine annoyed most people, who didn't want to use her story line for some feminist issue. And she was still surprised someone had even read the book. Killian didn't seem as much of a blonde as she thought. It was nice to see some intelligence in her classes. All the other schools she's covered in hadn't had the smartest people around, to be honest.
She nodded at his comments, leaning back in her seat as she crossed her legs over each other, and then her arms across her chest. This would be a good extra lesson then. He had been paying attention. "Good. Seems we're on the same page with them." Desideria said, reaching for her book. She turned to the chapter they had left off in class, then lowered the book once more. "Alright, was there anything else you were confused on? Or that you needed help with" She questioned. It seemed like he didn't need the help, so why did he want to have an extra lesson? Oh well that was good then! "I know that the scheme gives you more marks for a feminist perspective but ... I didn't think that Catherine was the right way to go about it ... maybe Cathy instead?," he replied, tapping the book against the palm of his hand. After all she broke free of her oppression, it was easy to contrast the mother and daughter.
"Can I just ask you what your opinions on Heathcliff are?" he asked, really all he wanted to hear was someone's opinions on the subject. It always made him feel better when someone confirmed stuff, plus if the opinion was different then it gave him a greater insight on the subject. Besides he just wanted to confirm someone else didn't like the guy, since his project partner kept going on about how great he was. |

So he wasn't just come punk kid that wanted to shack up with a teacher. Desideria sat back in her chair with her legs crossed, one hand resting on her leg, the other holding the book. He seemed pretty easy to get along with, so she wasn't too sure on why the department wanted her to watch him, unless there was something they weren't telling her. Sometimes, they did that, simply because she wasn't completely in her right mind, according to the department's shrink. She nodded at his comments before she blinked at his question. Interesting.
"I simply don't like him, nor do I like how he treated anyone. He's the kind of person the world doesn't need" Desi said as she flipped through the pages in the book. It had been a very long time since she'd last actually read the whole book, and not just skimmed it. Because she wasn't actually a teacher, she didn't have much spare time to sit down and read. After classes were done, she immediately went into being the wonderful Maria Finley, mafia wife and continued the research that her partner had started. She flinched slightly before glancing back at the student. KILLIAN CALLAHAN
