| The trail of sunlight trailed slick streams of kisses through the thick canopy of leaves causing the plush green grass below to glitter. Gentle winds rustled through the foliage as if singing a soft lullaby. A young pinkette perched herself on top of a blanket spread out underneath the tree. There she idly fiddled with a red ribbon tied in a big bow within her hair. In her lap was a notebook and a mechanical pencil nearby.
What was it for? Why, it was for writing down lyrics, of course~ Each musician had their own way of going about making songs. Seyka preferred to find her inspiration outdoors rather than being cooped up inside a house with walls. Once she was content with how she tied the bow in her hair, Sey Sey went back to paying attention to her notebook filled with poetry. Or her attempt at creating poetry that would be lyrics for potential songs. Unfortunately, she had the attention span of a flea. The lines where words were supposed to flow together were filled with little doodles, from stars to hearts with wings.
It eventually led up to her to tearing out a fresh piece of paper out. The eighteen year old began folding it into a paper plane. A giggle escaped her lips as she pointed the plane in a random direction. She put a bit of force into her wrist as she let the flying object take flight. It got good wind as it whirled around in the air. Little did she realize that by the time it started making it's way to the ground that it heading straight for the back of someone's head. Her eyes widened as it crashed head first into the person. Whoops~

@sey Think he got the message? >.> | high dive into frozen waves where the past comes back to life fight fear for the selfish pain it was worth it every time
Strings plucked in arpeggio, followed up by gentle chords strummed across an acoustic guitar. A voice, raw but melding to the tune of the song he was singing. His eyes closed as he engrossed himself into his practice. He was doing this song as a showcase for one of his music classes as his easy A+ projects. Funny, he didn't find these little assignments to be bookwork. Who could consider something they enjoyed to be something as boring as homework when it was exciting or appealing such as playing music in the park?
hold still right before we crash 'cause we both know how this ends a clock ticks 'til it breaks your glass and I drown in you again
One hand on the neck of the song maker holding down the strings on the right frets. Sliding to and from the majors and minor chords. No, this wasn't a chore or an obligation he had to follow in order to pass a class for credits in college. Just listening to the music being made from the guitar was proof enough. It was a bringer of life, a way to express the heart, an art meant for the ears to listen to.
'cause you are the piece of me I wish I didn't need chasing relentlessly, still fight and I don't know why
Just as he was about to take a breath in to dive into the chorus something interrupted his practice. Felt as if something had tried to stab him in the back of his head but it felt more like a irritating poke. Julian finally opened his eyes waking back up to reality. He turned to face right behind him to figure out what hit him. A frown formed. It was a paper plane. Who in their right mind make such childish toys from good piece of paper? What a waste...
It wasn't until he looked up to see a way's away a young girl. With absurdly pink hair. It was so... bright, and pink. Julian could've sworn she just stuck classic bubble gum in her hair and kept it there to get that ridiculous color. Not to mention that smile. Oh yeah, that was a shameless, I did it but I don't feel guilty smile. He slid his acoustic guitar across his shoulder to rest behind him. Free hand picked up the paper plane where he got up from his perch to approach the perpetrator. "Let me guess," he greeted the girl, "This is yours." It wasn't a question, but a statement. |

| “Maybe,” she teased the arriving blonde. Despite his blunt statement saying otherwise, the pinkette had a feeling that she was going to enjoy this encounter~ Her eyes flickered up quickly taking note of the instrument he was towing strapped from his shoulder to his back. She had to refrain herself from starting to blurt out anything music related. Or the fact that she is who she is now~
When you were the daughter of a very influential man who ran one of the most successful record agencies around - yeah, it was best to keep a low profile. Otherwise, she'd be swarmed with every musician-to-be who would probably use her to get in good with her father. “I do apologize,” she smiled softly, “Even though I have no control over the wind and where it took my plane. Thank you for giving it back to me~”
She extended her palm out to pluck it out of Julian's possession. Her eyes still fixated on the guitar. Her curiosity was getting the better of her. She just had to know! “You play? How long?” Sey Sey finally asked earnestly.
NOTES: Hmm. Not yet. c: |

@sey Didn't think so. -_- | There was no question in his mind that the trivial little aerial object belonged to the girl. Good, one unnecessary item out of his hands. Now that he had taken care of that it was time to get back to his practice session. He wanted his showcase to be nothing short of flawless, which meant he didn't need anymore distractions. Plus, that smile powder puff pink-top over there made him uncomfortable. His instincts told him that was a sign - warning sign of sorts. As for what? He wasn't quite sure but to be on the safe side it would be best to take his leave and back to his own business.
"Yeah, well... watch where you throw that thing. Next time it'll be someone's eye you poke out." With that said, he was ready to turn heel and go back to his own perch in the park. Actually it was probably a good idea to move far away from her. Alas, it didn't exactly work out the way he intended. He stopped in the middle of his actions as he heard the girl ask him a question. A question, albeit innocent in nature, that made him groan on the inside.
"No, it's just for show," he answered sarcastically, "I wear it around because chicks dig boys with guitars." Of course, he played but why in the world did he have to answer this girl straight? It wasn't like she gave him a direct answer either. Even though he didn't really ask her if it was her paper plane either. Though he was completely digressing from the whole point of the conversation. "Do you always make paper planes to throw at people in the park?" he asked flatly. |

| “No, but I think I should start after today,” she replied with a giggle. “Pretty nice way to meet people if you ask me, ne? I mean, my trusty air plane managed to snatch your attention. If only for a little while~” She could already imagine it. Throwing paper planes in the air then see if other people will turn their heads. Though she did have to take into consideration of the blonde's previous statement. The tip of the paper plane could poke someone's eye out. Sey Sey didn't want that. Nope, nope.
“Why would you carry around an instrument just for show?” she asked. She totally missed the dripping sarcasm laced in his answer. “I think chicks would like you better if you were honest whether you could play or not. Plus, it'll be better on your shoulder if you don't.” Some people were just funny that way. Doing things, showing off nice things like a guitar and pretending to be a musician. She didn't think this guy was faking it but his abrasive demeanor flew over her head. The pinkette wasn't reading the signs that Julian was ready to high tail it away.
She patted down the empty space of her blanket offering for him to sit down with her. Her bubbly smile still stuck across her lips as as she placed her air plane in a page in her notebook. “Some people meet under strange circumstances,” she mused happily. She looked about at the park looking for a good example to use. It just so happened to pass them by. A couple of dog-walkers strolling down the walkway. “Like how two dogs, each owned by complete strangers start playing together and their owners meet watching their dogs play.” Nodding her head, she beamed back over to Julian. “So throwing air planes at people wouldn't be too bad of an idea to meet new people~”
NOTES: It'll come to him... eventually. <3 |

@sey Maybe after a century or two. >_> | After hearing her answer the nineteen year old guitarist had no idea how to feel about this girl. One part of him thought she was nothing short of nuts for even considering such a childish antic a good way to meet new people. The other half of him wanted to face palm at how dense she was. "No. That is a potential liability in the making." Julian was starting to believe that either this girl was insane or off in her own little world. The former being a little more fitting than the latter. "Just don't do that again with anybody else. Seriously, you can hurt someone or yourself." People failed to realize even normal objects such as paper can do quite a bit of damage under the right circumstances. Like papercuts. Those were the worst.
A deadpan stare appeared on his features as he listened to her reaction to his smart-ass comment. She couldn't be serious, right? Was she trying to pull a fast one on him or was she seriously this... this stupid? He exhaled an exasperated sigh.
"I've been playing longer than you've been alive." He arched a brow up as she signaled him to come sit down beside her. If he was honest with himself (which is next to never most of the time) he really didn't want to prolong his stay with her. Though against his better judgement - and attempt to be a better character - he reluctantly perched himself down on the picnic blanket.
"I picked up my first guitar around six or seven. Haven't stopped playing ever since." he mentioned as he slid his instrument from his shoulder back to in front of him. |

| “I can tell~” she said with a cheery smile. How? Sey Sey had her ways. The little pinkette was the type of girl who trusted her instincts when it came to these types of things. Not entirely sure why that was possible. The best way she could describe it was the feeling she gets when it come to analyzing those who claimed themselves to be talented musicians. “You've got... well, I'm not sure how to say it.” A sheepish giggle escaped from her lips as she paused in her train of thoughts. Oh this was far too much fun~
“Allow me to be blunt~! You've got a light in your eyes. A colorful light that just screams out you want to play.” As she fell her eyes onto the six-stringed friend in the blonde's arms being cradled delicately, it was clear as day this individual took his performance seriously. The type of person she had in mind she wished to offer an invitation to join her band in the making. Though she couldn't get ahead of herself just yet.
She just met this boy~ It would be too easy if she gave away her intentions. She had to be tactful, she had to be discreet about this, she had to—Oh look! A butterfly~! “What are you waiting for?” she looked back over to Julian. “The guitar isn't going to play itself, you know. Work your magic. Play, play~” Her expression was beaming from ear to ear. She adjusted her posture to give her full focus back over to the sunlit-haired guitarist. Waiting eagerly to see if he was going to play again just like before he was interrupted~

@sey It depends. Sometimes it's just luck. xP | That had to be the sorriest excuse of a praise he's ever heard someone give him. There were some plenty of shitty compliments anyone could give him. Was she trying to be like some kind of two-bit Disney character? He wasn't quite sure how long his patience will last before he simply had to take his leave and bid this girl farewell forever. "And let me guess," he commented dryly, "All it takes is wishing upon the brightest star at night and all my dreams will come true. That sounds just about right?" He seriously had to resist the urge to puke. Such nonsense didn't get anyone anywhere. Reality worked a little differently.
Sky blue eyes glanced at the strings as one palm went to tune up once more. He played a few basic chords to check the sound. He shot powder-puff pink top a sharp look at her urge to get him to play. "Why should I start playing because you said so?" he protested, "Besides I was playing earlier. Practicing, actually, for a school project I need to present in a few days. That is until someone threw a paper plane at the back of my head interrupting me and still taking my precious time away. So no." He tucked the pick into his pocket. His fingers barely grazing onto the smooth wood paint on his instrument. Less there be fingerprints on display of it's well-cared for surface.
"I'm not obligated to play anything for you." |

| “I never said you had to play for me specifically,” she countered, “You can leave anytime you wish. Though, no matter where you go, or who hears you play, it all means nothing if the wish you want to convey through your songs don't reach out to the ears that listen to it.” Music was more than just a marketing tool under the facade of promoting culture. Especially in a place as grand as Nova Athenis~ To those who opened their hearts to it, music was a type of power. It made people feel things they've never felt before.
“One person with a dream, a wish straight from the heart, is equal to ninety-nine who only have interest~” she quoted one of her favorite sayings. “If you're that worried about making sure your performance for your project then it's all the more reason for you to continue to play.” She looked up above the tree to watch the sunlight breaking through the barrier of leaves sparkle down. Speckles of light furthering the tranquility of their quaint little conversation they were holding. Funny, she didn't even know the boy's name.

@sey | That was the words he was looking for. Though it was because it came out of his mouth left him to think that she was onto something. That she saw his pitiful attempt to humor her for a bit then take his leave. All for the sake of being remotely courteous. Though leaving would soon enough become nothing more than a passing thought.
Julian didn't expect her to bring up a valid counter like that. He didn't stop himself from rolling his eyes at her words of wisdom. Either she was a cunning little minx or a one-shot lucky half-wit. It was hard to tell. Though there was no mistaking the way he looked back at his precious baby. His palm digging back into his pocket in search of the pick. His other hand worked on placing his calloused fingers on the appropriate frets to get the right chord, the right sound he wanted.
And he began to play. The same song he was practicing on earlier before he met this girl. His focus becoming more and more locked on the gliding movement of chords strummed. The neck of the guitar becoming a boardwalk for the tip of his fingers.
if our love is tragedy why are you my remedy? if our love's insanity why are you my clarity?
Everything felt natural. As if for the very first time he was breathing air the right way. Like he was hearing what was supposed to be right. Just feeling fine underneath the tree in the park as the rest of his body continued to pour out the music he played. So lost into it he completely forgotten about the pink haired girl who was still there. Listening to his rendition of a popular radio song. |

| He went quiet. Did she manage to push him to the point of making him want to leave right now? That was rather unfortunate. The bubble-gum colored hair lass just wanted to listen to a little piece of how he plays. Get a good feel as to what kind of musician he claims to be. No two musicians were the same. They came from all over the place around the world. All with different styles, preference in genres and instruments to make their magic known as melodies and tunes.
Her bright eyes flickered up piqued instantly when she noticed he brought back his guitar pick. His hands going back onto the guitar. A smile graced upon her lips as she sat in anticipation to what kind of sound he'd produce. Seyka could practically feel the whole scenery freeze up around them. Or maybe that was just her holding her breath~
She wasn't disappointed as soon as the air was pierced with the first few notes hanging in the air. A few park walkers turned their eyes onto the two curious as to where the music was coming from. The pinkette closed her eyes and allowed nothing more than her ears to be filled with strummed strings and a voice carrying on top of the song.
Throughout her life she's seen the rise of many idols and musicians come through her father's Record company. Some were good, some were of very questionable backings. Though the young Rozengale child never tired of listening to all kind of music coming from the studios. Music videos that were made from top hits that made it to the radio. She kept telling herself that one day she was going to be selling her own songs proudly representing the very company that her father brought. It never got old. A sense of realization that these feelings that were there pulled to the surface. Coming to life and into their ears. That was what she got from listening to the guitarist play on...

@sey Ditto, ditto! [: | He wasn't playing because she told him so. That was what played in the back of his head. If only for the simple reason that it was something he planned on already doing. He didn't want to admit it - especially to someone as ditzy as this powder puff pink head. Nothing brought greater joy than to hear his baby come to life with a stroke as gentle as a strum.
When he played, reality felt far behind him, including the troubles that continued to plague the furthest corners of his contemplation. An escape, an acceptance. Where he didn't need to feel the fear of being denied the very desire he's wanted since he was a child. A young boy who crawled through the storage unit finding his grandfather's old records from the band he was in during his youth. The very songs that inspired him to take after the old man. He didn't consider himself the best singer but even without professional training he'd like to believe he's got a fairly decent voice and range. He hasn't been boo'd at yet.
He strummed a little guitar solo in between the breaks of verses. Blue eyes looked over to the girl as she smiled with her eyes closed listening to him play. His strumming slowed down little by little. Until there was no more resonance in the acoustic. "Hey, you didn't fall asleep on me, did you?" he asked with a frown, "If it sucked that badly you could've just told me to stop." |

| “Huh?” she quickly opened her eyes back up. When did he stop playing? She flashed him a sheepish smile. The eighteen year old female shook her head causing her puffy pink locks to bounce about. “Your performance wasn't poor. Not even in the slightest~ It was very enjoyable. I mean it, swearsies~”
It was far from perfect though. If there was a way she could describe it precisely without being harsh it'd be like a diamond in the rough. A gem found in the most unlikeliest place. Something about that appealed to Seyka in her head.
“Though it's far from your best,” she admitted. “You've got the energy but you're tense. As if you're hesitant to letting it all go. Have a little more confidence in yourself. There's a little saying that goes something along the lines of... umm... Oh right! Faith can move mountains~” Maybe she spoke a little too much. Oh well, it wasn't like she was trying to hide if she had any experience behind playing, performing or music in general.

@sey | She liked his playing. That was a relief. For a moment there he almost got upset she'd have the nerve to fall asleep when he started playing after her insistence. Not that he was playing for her to begin with but still. She was there, listening. "What are you? A music critic? You sound like you're talking from experience." he asked with a frown. He wasn't going to take her advice though worth a grain of salt. To keep his arms busy, he idly strummed a few chords to a soft tune to have background music. Life needed it.
"Actually, I don't even know your name." Just who was this girl? "What's your name?" A better question he thought to himself was how did they started talking to one another about music? Or how he managed to get himself to play in front of her. Something about her made his stomach tie up in knots. Her child-like demeanor was certainly less than attractive for the most part, but she's not a thick-headed as he originally assumed.
"Do you play an instrument or two?" he asked. |

| “Mmhmm. I play piano, guitar, and I sing~” she answered jubilantly, “You can say I have some experience under my belt.” More like a life time watching, hovering like an underling to her father observing the strengths and weaknesses of famous stars grow from their careers. Even if musicians only played as a hobby, she wanted to make sure that even that shined the brightest.
A name? A giggle bubbled from the back of her throat. It was only a matter of time before the inevitable would arrive. “I dunno. Maybe I shouldn't tell you~” she teased him. “Why the sudden interest? Just a second ago you were just about ready to use any excuse to dismiss yourself from me.” She couldn't keep a straight face to make it seem like she was being spiteful. It just wasn't in her nature to do so~ Though she wasn't above picking on him for his cute little attitude earlier.
“I'll tell you what,” she declared. “I might tell you my name, if you're so interested, but on one condition!” She raised her small palm up to form a number one point with her index digit. “We should hang out again~ In a more one-on-one atmosphere. Would you do that~?” She batted her eyes cutely up at him. It would've been a shamed if this was the first and last time they saw each other. He was fun to play with~
