After school is usually a time for the little boys and girls to go out and play with their friends, but for Ellie, it's a time to explore the big city of Nova Athenis.
She leaves her house with a little key around her neck and her cat on a leash.
She doubley, tripley, and then fourly checks to make sure her cat is okay before heading out.
Ellie ponders the thought of 'fourly' not being a real word, but figures it's alright for her to use it as long as she doesn't say it out loud.
Ellie walks down the sidewalk slowly, so her cat can keep up with her.
It's a cute cat, or is it a kitty? It's got pretty black fur and cute blue eyes and his name is Raul, like her daddy!
Ellie doesn't know much about her daddy, mama says he's a bad guy, but he can't be that bad because helped make her and her sister!
Ellie makes sure to keep an eye out for landmarks while she thinks. She doesn't want to get lost after all!
Raul mews at Ellie and she squats down to him and stares at him intently. He mews at her again and she nods with a smile.
"You wanna go to the beach?" She gets another mew."Okay mister Raul! We can go to the beach, but no swimming today, mama will get mad."
Raul mews at Ellie again and the two start to walk in the general direction of the beach.
Or so Ellie thinks, within a few minutes she's lost and kitty!Raul is mewing at her.
"Oh Raul, I think we're lost, what should we do?"
Raul mews at her before curling into a little ball on the sidewalk. Ellie frowns and picks him up so he doesn't have to walk anymore.
She looks around and tries to find a nice-looking person to ask for directions, and she spots one.
Hesitantly, she walks up to them and tugs on their shirt.

I DIG A HOLE IN SEARCH FOR KITES. Vera isn't the type of person who is able to walk past a coffee shop or a juice bar without going in and buying one. Drinks are best! Especially freshly squeezed juice with little bits of joy in them that made her happy. It was always the little things in life that brightened up her day.
It was a fine afternoon and she had just finished lessons today at school. She was actually on the lookout for a nice backdrop of a new dance video, since her dance was almost perfected. The weather was fine, a soft glow of sunshine basking the land, and cold juice was still refreshing instead of bad for your stomach.
The seventeen year old was just stopping at a street to cross the road when she felt something tug her shirt. Turning abruptly and almost knocking over the little girl, her own eyes widened in surprise.
"Oh my dear! I'm so sorry! Are you okay?" Vera now squatted and blinked at the brown haired child. "What was that, love? Your kitty is very pretty by the way! Oh my, that rhymed!" It was then she promptly began to laugh at herself.

ellie stumbles when the girl turns abruptly, but catches herself and manages to keep her balance.
"y-yes!" she says. "i-i'm fine!"
ellie smiles when the older girl compliments her cat, she squeezes raul a little tighter without hurting him. "his name is raul!" she says with glee.
oh right, she needed to ask this girl something! now what was it... oh right! it takes ellie a second to remember, but eventually she does.
"um, i-i was hoping you could um, show me to the b-beach..?" she says.
ellie hopes that she can help her to the beach! or maybe she can help her find someone who can help her...? ellie just hopes she can get to the beach before dark.

I DIG A HOLE IN SEARCH FOR KITES. "That's a cool name! Raul! Like roar of a dinosaur! Or the scary growl of a mountain lion!" Vera commented, smiling, letting the little girl collect her thoughts.
"The beach?" It was no secret from the people who knew her that Vera got impeccably lost without ever, ever admitting it. She was thinking of heading to the beach, though, so she felt she was worthy enough to lead this girl over there!
"Yes! Of course! I was going to go there myself! Well, there's no time to waste right? My name is Vera! How about yours, little girl?" Her sister always told her to be polite, so that's what she had to do, right?
She stood up though, offering a hand to the smaller girl. Vera wasn't that tall herself, so she didn't think she would look intimidating or scary. That wasn't the kind of image she wanted to show at all!

ellie giggles and smiles, "raul is my daddy's name! i really love my daddy."
ellie's smile grows a little larger at the thought of her daddy. she always feels happy whenever she thinks of her daddy. she isn't too sure why, but she does. she feels happy whenever she thinks of her family really, maybe it's' just whenever she thinks of her family.
"m-my name is ellie!" she says. "a-and vera... vera is a very pretty name!"
ellie looks up at the silver haired girl when she stands. she's so tall! ellie wishes she was that tall, or maybe she's just tall compared to how she is now. she hesitates taking vera's hand, but she decides if she doesn't want to get lost again, she should.
she makes sure raul the cat is okay in one arm, and takes vera's hand very hesitantly with an awkward smile.

"That's lovely! Daddies are wonderful, mine buys me milkshakes when I'm sad! Even though he tells me drinking cold drinks are bad for my body, haha. You take that on board too! You never know when you need to know!"
Her little hand was soft in Vera's, and a strong sense of adulthood nearly possessed her to pick up Ellie and kidnap her. Then she realised Nova Athenis was an island, and they couldn't exactly live out on the sea now, could they?
"Thank you lovely! Ellie is like a name for the sun! You okay with your kitty like that?" She asked, although Vera wasn't quite ready to get go of the little hand. The older girl lead the way to cross the street safely.
Across the street was a small flower shop. Usually she'd linger, smell the flowers, but today she had a little girl with her and the little girl had strict orders to get to the seaside!
But though her clumsiness, Vera managed to knock over an outside display bucket as she carried on down the pavement, wondering when the seaside would come to view.

Ellie smiles, Miss. Vera's daddy sounds nice. Her daddy doesn't do that for her, but that's okay! She's content with just having her daddy around her, it's okay, she's got momma and Emmie to keep her company. She won't let Miss. Vera think she's sad about something, she'll be strong until she gets home! "Yes I'm okay with my kitty like this! I'm sure he's comfortable as well." Ellie smiles down at Raul the cat as Vera leads them to cross the street. As they walk past a small flower shop, Ellie notices the clatter of something hitting the ground and turns her head. "O-oh, M-Miss. Vera, I think we knocked something over." She says to the older girl. It would be bad to leave that knocked over, someone could trip!
