A bar didn't seem like the best place to take a girl like Fawn, but he wanted to give her a good time and what's a better time than getting piss drunk? He also figured that asking her to go to his place when she didn't even know him would have freaked her out. Last time they interacted with each other, she seemed the type NOT to go back to someone's place to drink. So that's how they ended up at the bar, sitting side-by-side with drinks in front of them. Rocky insisted that he paid for their time out; he didn't mind and he'd just gotten his paycheck a few days prior. He already paid off his bills and necessities, so he wasn't worrying. "So, you used to drinkin'?" Rocky asked, looking over at the young woman, a soft smile tugging at the corners of his lips, a cold beer settled comfortably within is fingers' grasp. She didn't seem the type to actually drink all that much, either, now that he thought about it.

Maybe it was a gross curiosity that made her say yes.
Fawn rubbed her eyes, cupped her hands around the bottle. "No, not ever, really..." her voice sounded far away. You could only see the tips of her fingers past the over-sized sweater she was wearing. It gave the impression that she was tiny, so easy to lose. Like a bead that rolled under the sofa.
Wrinkling her nose, she brought the bottle to her lips. The taste was warm and unpleasant, but she felt like she wanted to push herself. To make herself like it, she supposed. It was supposed to help with stress, right? She had definitely been stressed out lately. Always.

Just as he'd suspected. Her reaction to the drink from the bottle made him feel the slightest bit guilty, "Yeah, actually. I love my beer. I have some at home, even, but drinkin' out in public is a little more fun than drinkin' alone at home."He wondered if she'd like something better than a beer; they did serve more drinks than just beer and whiskey. Though, if she wanted something else, she would have ordered it, right? But with that said, she just confirmed she never did go out and drink. Perhaps she really didn't know that bars had more than just beer? "You uh... seem like you're havin' a bit of a hard time drinkin' that down. Maybe you'd want something a little better? They can mix ya a drink; maybe somethin' a little more fruity," Rocky finally spoke up, hoping that his question didn't offend her. He just didn't want to see her suffer. They were supposed to be having a good time and she definitely did not look like she was having much of a good time.

She wasn't offended, but Fawn licked her lips.
Being drunk seemed like a goal to her - but she wanted to get it over with quick, rip it off like a band aid. Fawn was smart enough to know that a beer, a few beers, wouldn't really do that. Well, maybe for her since she was a light weight. But the whole process of drinking it seemed like it was unnecessary and drawn out.
She moved the bottle and played with the ring of condensation that was left behind with her index finger. She drew it into bigger circles and far reaching swirls.
"I'd rather have a shot," she said truthfully. Her voice was unsure but not indecisive. | [attr="class","ssslip"] |

Rocky wasted no time in ordering a few shots for Fawn, though he did smirk at her wanting something like that. Girl was surprisingly hard. He ordered a few shots for himself, too. Seemed like it was going to be a fun night and he definitely didn't want to be left out. First shot, he held it up and slung it back with her, hissing as the burning liquid coated his throat. He slammed the glass down and clicked his tongue before taking the second one, looking at her. Beer was his favorite, but he never turned down the chance at liquor. "I wonder how many shots it would take to get ya drunk off your ass. Probably not many; you're so tiny," he stated before drinking the second shot, not waiting for her that time. He figured any shot she didn't drink he would, though that meant he'd probably get incredibly sloshed beyond belief. Meh, he was prepared for that.

She didn't even register what he ordered - didn't even see what it looked like. She picked up the glass, holding it between her index finger and thumb, closed her eyes and breathed in through her mouth. On timing with Rocky, she slung it back and her throat reacted violently.
Fawn made a sort of gasping noise, like a wild choke and a resigned exhale, but seemed okay beyond that.
"Probably not," she agreed blearily, picking up another glass and going through the same motions. This one stung less but felt like it didn't plan on staying down. She gripped the empty glass, breathed out through her nose and closed her eyes again.
It would stay down, and it might get some more company. Glancing sideways at him, "I'm sure it takes a lot for you." A giggle that sounded like a hiccup followed. Surprisingly, her voice had been calm so far.
What a change. | [attr="class","ssslip"] |

He perked a brow at her as he took his third shot, deciding to wait a little while before taking anymore. He knew how shots worked; they snuck up on you, knocked you off your feet before you could even register you were drunk. "If I didn't know any better, I'd say you were drunk already Miss Fawn," Rocky stated, keeping his eyes on her as she tried to get used to the drinks she was swallowing down. It looked like she was uncomfortable, but afterwards she seemed completely fine. Perhaps Fawn had more edge to her than she was leading on. If that were the case, Rocky was sure to have fun and hopefully Fawn would have fun, too. To be honest, that's all his goal was; for Fawn to enjoy herself, however that might have been. From what he saw the last time they met, she really needed the fun and relaxation. "I know we just started, but are ya enjoyin' yourself?" He just had to ask.

She tented her index fingers together, kicked her legs against the bar. "I don't know any better at all," she said, and giggled slightly. She wasn't drunk - yet - but the rush of drinking, something she never did, gave her a rebellious edge that made her feel giggly and light headed anyway.
There was a sneaking suspicion that this would be more of a disaster than fun, that she'd end up being sloppy or tripping all over herself. Maybe it was because she'd been so strict on herself but she was excited for the repercussions, good or bad. She nodded. "I think it'll get better." | [attr="class","ssslip"] |

Seeing Fawn smile made him smile and he flashed her a wink before downing another shot, "Yeah, things will definitely get better. Especially the more you drink--Oh... but... I gotta warn you. Try not to drink past your limit."It dawned on him all late-like, but he remembered the first time he got drunk, having drinks with friends. He ended up with his face in the toilet puking his guts out until 6AM. Rocky definitely didn't want Fawn to have to deal with that. "I know it's your first time getting so drunk, just watchin' you drink right now. I jus' don't want you to regret all that you're puttin' in. Ya know what I mean?"Even if she did end up regretting it all, Rocky would be there to watch out for her. Yeah, he would take on the role of holding back her hair. He was a "gentleman" like that.

Fawn remained relaxed. The eerie calm in her manner was completely alien, but she didn't mind it. Big round eyes blinked once, blinked twice. "I trust you," she said, and the words surprised even her.
Fawn didn't understand trust, but she probably trusted everyone. She was easily manipulated, she was putty in anyone's hands. She took everything with shaking eyes. But now her gaze was steady. | [attr="class","ssslip"] |

That took him a little off guard, her small and slightly slurred voice saying something about trusting him. Rocky definitely didn't have any ulterior motives, but for such a sweet, small girl like her to trust someone so easily, especially since they'd only met twice... Well, he couldn't help but feel that it was a dangerous choice to make. "You trust me, eh? And why is that?" Rocky couldn't help but ask, turning a bit on his stool to face the redhead. "What is it about me that makes you say, 'I can trust this guy,' with complete confidence?
"I don't mean to sound rude or anythin', honest. I'm just legitimately curious."Rocky hoped he didn't offend the girl. Actually, he felt that he was worrying that a lot, fearing that he was offending Fawn.

The girl was taken aback - she hadn't ben expecting this. She'd said what she had said loosely - there was nothing weighted on it, no heavy consequences. Fawn spoke out of turn, though, as she was learning.
"Well," she said, licking her lips. Her words were getting harder to organize, like her vocabulary was a vague and shifting group of animals in her mind that she could not herd in the direction she needed to. "You... haven't given me a reason not to." Despite being pleased with herself for only stumbling through the sentence slightly, Fawn's voice came out small and concerned, a rabbit burrowing into it's hollow only to stare at the world through round, dilated eyes. | [attr="class","ssslip"] |

Rocky smiled at her, his eyes closing almost all the way when he did. His hair hung in his face, sweeping down almost to his eyelashes when he nodded some along with the grin he gave. That wasn't what he was expecting her to say, but it still wasn't what he wanted to hear. Fawn seemed like a people-pleaser, though it was obvious the first day that Rocky met her that she didn't enjoy it. She looked tired, exasperated, worn down. He couldn't bring himself to tell her that waiting for a reason to not trust someone was still dangerous, though at the same time he was rather fond of her ability to trust people right on the spot. "Well, ya know, that's really great,"the Southerner said after a moment or two. "Takes a huge weight off my chest knowin' that you can trust me. It really does."He reached over and ruffled Fawn's hair, unable to help himself. She reminded him of a puppy, looking for approval when she looked up at him with those doe-y eyes. The girl really suited her name.
