Hedges of lush green loomed up in thick, manicured walls on either side of narrow stretch of dirt, marking a path through the maze. Only a single clearing opened up in the center, where four people were. The fourth figure stood over the others with curiosity painted on his face. He nudged one of them, the most familiar one. "Wake up." The disguised Creation whined. Boredom compelled him into action again. Of course, he didn't want to play with just anyone. William Hurst had caught his attention before, now he wanted to play with him and his siblings. They sounded like a fun family. Oh, but he was going to do things a little differently this time. He would be playing with them as one of them, a player in his own game. @will @isobel Damien

William didn't sleep often.
Sleep never came often for the restless, and rest was something the overactive mind of William Hurst never really came to terms with. Actually, the prospect of waking up (pleasantly) actually shocked him on a whole. Getting up from his lying position on the ground, he rubbed his right eye with his right hand and yawned. William's vision opened to the sight of four green walls boxing him in. And just like every good horror movie, he wasn't alone.
But it was not his 'siblings' that caught his attention. It was the stranger, the proder, who liked his attention maybe a little too much. William, as did many others, called these people attention seekers.
"Ha?" He leaned in blinking several times at the stranger. "You're ugly. Too bad I don't service in manicures and facial lifts. No matter! I can refer you! To the butcher down the street! Now what do you want with me."

The contours of the ground beneath her back, the scent of outdoors - she wasn't home in bed and she didn't need to open her eyes and sit up to tell that much. She did though, squinting against the sunlight as she stood, focus jumping to the people with her.
Two were familiar, her brothers; and the third - he seemed familiar too, somehow. She had the impression that she knew him, knew of him, but absolutely no amount of scouring her memories brought up anything specific. Her arms were crossed, almost hugging herself. This felt like a vivid dream.
And for once, William was asking the right questions.

Damien manifested in the dream world with his head shoved into the hedge wall, the harsh scratch of twigs and stern leaves causing him to awaken abruptly and shove his head out. His head wiped around as he saw the small form of his sister, as well as the pest of a brother with his back against a tree. Damien was baffled by their surroundings, and assumed he must have been drugged and knocked out or any other unnaturally sketchy theory, and the mysterious, dark figure was the culprit if not his doctor brother. He stood up slowly, assuming he might be in some form of trouble. (Leave it to his brother to make all his other credit evasions futile.) Leery of the strange man, he moved between his brother and his sister.
"Isn't it obvious?" Damien sneered louder, like a cockroach twitching its antennae. "You think you pull the messes you make without attracting some sort of trouble? Understandable, you stupid twit. But why did you have to pull us into it?" He prodded his brother in the chest with rough antagonism. CREATION

A childish frown pulled on Creation’s lips, contorting his face into a pout. He had taken a liking to William in this last meeting. But now his opinion was starting to change. The doctor didn’t seem very fun at the moment, regardless of whether he recognized him in his disguise or not. Instead, he turned now to the other two who each had awoken in their own time. “I’m glad you’re all awake,” he blurted, smile returning to his lips. “It was getting really boring.”Without his horns adorning his head and his hair shortened dramatically, his real identity was easily hidden from anyone who may have recognized him. He had even taken on a fitting attire; jeans and a dress shirt. His disguise had proven enough to follow the one person who knew his face. He really did miss his horns nonetheless. They were his favorite part of his current form. Oh well, sacrifices had to be made. “So who are you guys?” He wasn’t much of an actor. @will @isobel Damien

He moved over to be closer to Isobel, but he didn't say anything to her. Maybe a good night's sleep cleared his mind, but he was sure his 'siblings' weren't going to share the same sentiment. No one gained his favour, and therefore, everyone's favour was not gained by him. Surely William would be used to it by now.
"Suppose playing with us in sleep wouldn't be a good game, you'd win too easy! At least you have some sense, odd person!" He laughed, shakily, which was odd for William. Was he ever so unsure of himself?
"Ha?" He repeated himself. William was an uncooperative as they'd be on normal days, but to strangers in a mystery location? Huh, no dice.
"I ain't giving you my name! Then you'd have power! Power! You ain't even giving me us- me- your name yet! How rude!" He snapped, voice a lot more on edge than usual.
"And you two!" He looked at both Isobel and Damien. "Don't ruin my party! It's my name! I give it if I want to!"

William and Damien both seemed to vie for standing nearest to Isobel, but she stepped back from both of, she didn't want to be involved. Though, she already was - whether this was Damien or William's fault, she was sure that she was only here by virtue of being their sister.
For once, William's paranoia seemed justified, and Isobel pressed her lips together, seeing no reason to give her name. This whole situation was beyond manners. It was beyond anything rational, anything she was used to.
The hedges were taller than she could see over, and they led out from the clearing in a set of paths. "Are we finding our way out?" She spoke to the stranger.

"His name's lil Willie, have a go," Damien interjected, introducing his brother for him after the whole speech about names holding power. "Nothing you can do with it that I can't beat. I'm the turd's brother, Damien. She's his sister," Damien said, knocking a thumb at Isobel, tongue on its toes, "who probably has nothing to do with any of this business. Finding our way out is it...?" He asked, peering uncertainly at her. "But, now, bloody christ, when did you turn into such a muppet! Are you off?" He folded his arms and leered at his William. Granted, there encounters on this island were few (yet incredibly toxic in low doses), perhaps it was finally starting to dawn on Damien just how much his brother had changed since they had last spent a notable amount of time together. Disguises were boring. And these humans weren't doing what he wanted. He supposed that unpredictability made humans so fun though. But they were really making it difficult to enjoy himself. The game might have been more entertaining if he hadn't decided to hide among them. Distrust was already aimed at him from the start. He was losing what little patience he had. Yet one of those human's was fixing his ruined mood. The red haired Hurst brother kindly blurted out William's name. He, unlike the rest, didn't withhold his own name either. Creation already knew their names though. It would just draw suspicion if he somehow knew them. "I am Ari." He replied. Then he turned to Isobel. "To answer your question, I believe that is the most logical choice." He smiled at Damien, deciding he liked that Hurst more. Creation was such a fickle being. "Is there anyone among us skilled in navigation? From the looks of these hedges, we're in a maze. Its easy to get lost." He made sure to hold back from saying too much, or he at least tried too. Placing himself in his own game was an unusual choice on his part. A subtle movement of his hands made the towering greenery shudder. There was more to this maze than first seen. "So who wants to lead the way?" @will @isobel Damien

Damien was a guy extraordinarily good at being a dick, so it was strange to see William so composed. Without moving his gaze, he took one of Iosbel's hands in his own, holding it for a couple of seconds or so, before letting it go. There was an alien warmth on his hands.
"So we're getting out then! Marvelous. Nice to meet ya, Ari!" William wasn't a friendly guy, but he didn't really know how else to react to this stranger. He felt threatened; so his tone was dim, but he clapped his hands away from dust and stood before the looming paths. He narrowed his eyes.
"Let's get onto dying then." He laughed, tilting his head, now deep in thought. "Ring a ring o' roses, a pocket full of posies, a tissue, a tissue, we all fall down..."
With that, his finger landed on the rightmost path, and began to walk down it, now lost in memories of old and haunted. These maze thingies, he never fancied.

This entire situation felt like a joke, and Isobel didn't have much a sense of humour. She nodded tersley towards the man introducing himself as Ari. Her eyes narrowed, fixed on the hedges and the ripple that moved through them. Her hand was limp in William's - she glanced to Damien - and she crossed her arms again once he let her go, over to choose a path.
As William started off, Isobel didn't make any move to follow. She wouldn't have trusted either of her brothers with anything - even if they meant well. She was probably the most generally capable between the three of them - the stranger it was too soon to tell anything about him - but even she didn't have any clever ideas or strategies.
It just came down to luck.
And unlike Damien, she didn't like to gamble.
Yet, there didn't see much choice. She sighed softly before she set off after William, keeping a good distance.

Damien hung back as he watched his brother and his hesitant little sister pick a path and head off. He could stay here, his hands shrugged comfortably into his pockets - at least this particular spot was safe. But Isobel had chose to follow Will, so what was there left for him to do but tag along and keep an eye on things. Damien glanced to Ari as soon as Isobel slipped out of sight. He came up to have a word with the spade of a man.
"I'm watching you," he said in a hushed voice and throwing a long look into his face.
When he caught up after the cautious gait of his sister, his own were that of an aloof guardian. He kept several paces behind her, glancing down different paths William had decided against. How surreal? These surreal gardens reminded him of country mansions and summer homes of their childhood. He swore the shadows on the ground could be their child selves, and Damien was still skeptical William and his nursery rhyme would get them out of this.

The ageless entity masquerading as another trapped individual moved to follow William’s lead. Yet, before he could take two steps, Damien caught his attention. “Watching me?” He repeated in a similarly hushed tone. Was he really that suspicious? A pout formed on his lips as he watched the brother join his sister up ahead. This game wasn’t going to be very fun if they suspected him the entire time. But what could he do to win their trust? Was there anything? Creation wasn’t one to linger in thought though. He hurried up after the group. The subtle movement of his hand as he did so urged the hedges to close behind them, sealing their path. This wasn’t any old maze, after all. It was full of surprises. He wondered if they would be able to figure them all out, or survive them. “So are you three related?” He piped up. Creation knew they were, but it would be suspicious if he knew. He needed to be as innocent as possible. @will @isobel Damien

William had to admit he wasn't fully expecting all three of them to follow him. Of course, he was glad to have Isobel by his side, but the twat and the weirdo? No thanks. Still, he didn't turn around, didn't have to, since he heard three sets of footsteps following closely behind.
He stopped though, at the first crossroads for a brief moment, before singing ring a ring a roses again, and thus made his way right since he didn't have a coin to flip tails for wales.
"We're all related! Aren't we?" He replied vaguely, frowning. There were many things William Hurst was known to be good at; mazes without a birds eye view was one such thing, especially when he had no idea what to expect.

Isobel glanced over her shoulder at what might have been the wind hissing through the leaves. It was, in fact, the hedges closing in on each other. Her steps slowed as she stared down the thick greenery closing off the way back, at the strange man taking up the back of their odd procession.
Though odd was an understatement. There were no hints as to where they might go, and William's guess was as good as any. Isobel had never been particularly intuitive, but she still had an uneasy feeling about this whole thing.
"We are." She sounded disappointed, uncharacteristically sardonic. She glanced back again at the closing hedges, wondering if anybody was going to mention it - William hadn't seem to have noticed. But greenery wasn't sentient, not anywhere but in William's world. She didn't even know how to go about mentioning it, only crossing her arms and biting her lip, peeking over her shoulder every few steps.
