The yellowed light of dusk filtered through the trees, and he stood alone in the clearing. The sun was beginning to set, and they should begin to arrive.
He was only the messenger; he could suggest, he could manipulate, but he couldn't force events into being. The best he could do was a draw, an inexplicable tug, to bring a few people into the clearing, to give will to wandering feet. He didn't know who they were, he hadn't bothered to search for any particularly adept humans. As they said, you can't make an omelette without cracking a few eggs, and quite frankly he'd smash the entire carton underfoot and do it himself if they wouldn't dance into the pan for him.
He pressed a hand to the trunk of one of the trees standing silent beside him, waiting until he heard the first set of footsteps. He wiped his gloved hand on his pants and turned to see.
This event has four open slots, spots are first come first serve. First posts should bring your character into the clearing.

This happened much too often, he thought. Lately he couldn't even tell if he was awake, asleep, or somewhere in between. He'd been crawling into Marlene's bed again, while she was sleeping, and then he wasn't home anymore. The dream of the dragon came to mind again, slowly as he looked around. Deep breaths, this was too exhausting. Being able to click your heels and put everything back to normal would be lovely, god this felt like a fairy-tale.
There was a figure against a tree; queer, seeming so out of place. But he wasn't the only one here anymore, a few others seeming to stumble into the clearing. Eyes heavy, he sighed and sat on the ground. Too tired to question, to get angry, he just waited. For an explanation, or for another game.

Practice, perform, sleep. Practice, perform, sleep. Kristoffer loved his life, but sometimes a guy's gotta catch a break every now and again. Stop and smell the roses. He changed out of his performance attire and pulled on a pair of jeans and a loose t-shirt, talk about comfort, and headed out to the woods. Kristoffer would be able to get some alone time out there, surrounded by nothing but trees and nature and all that fantastic stuff. It really didn't matter to him, nature and trees, but they wouldn't pester him while he took a nap. When he arrived, however, there was someone already there. He tilted his head, furrowing his brows a little in curiosity, "I'm...sorry. I didn't know someone was already out here?"

He felt strange. It was a feeling that crawled up his spine, but he didn’t shiver. The tips of his fingers tingled and his head was so light-headed that he could’ve floated away.
He blinked. And suddenly he wasn’t at home anymore.
His eyes fell to his bare feet, where a wooden floor should have been. The white of his nightgown was fluttering around his ankles like a one-piece summer dress, bathed orange by the descending sun. The grass tickled his wriggling toes, and for a second, thoughts eluded his mind. It was a blank slate, pure and untainted.
And then logic kicked in.
Rosalie’s head whipped from side to side, trying to determine where he was. There were people with him, and in front, a well-dressed and handsome man that he would’ve hit on if it weren’t for the fact that he was suffering from a small panic attack.
He didn’t have any words. Instinctively, he wrapped his arms around himself and stepped backwards, behind everyone else. He felt exposed. He didn’t have make-up on, just a plain, simple white dress that he slept and walked around in his house with. Thank the Gods that he was still wearing his wig; that it was still too early to go to sleep.
(OOC: No he didn't teleport he was just really spaced out he's not magical yet u_u)

Giovanna stumbled around, pissy and anxious. She had just fought with her parents over going out to party and was in a huffy mood. Sighing, she let her feet take her wherever they please. They kicked up dirt and rocks which in her mind resembled her parent’s faces. The crisp air helped to clear her head and soon she decided to actually take in her surroundings. She rubbed her eyes, surprised to be in such a beautiful clearing before she heard a noise a bit away. Her steps stopped, and her defense rose maybe it was a bear? She could faintly see a figure, but her glasses were left at home. “Who is there?”

There were four of them, and he glanced each one over, none particularly sticking out. They were all just humans, vaguely confused ones, which was what he was expecting.
"What are you doing here?" He asked, more as a prompt to each of them, not quite expecting an answer. In fact, he didn't leave much room for anyone to speak up, and he waved a hand absently as if their questions were tangible things to be waved away. "Don't worry, I'll tell you."
The sun was slipping lower, the yellow light was orange and the shadows were longer and soon it would be dark. That was what he was waiting for. What they were waiting for too. They could turn around and leave - he might not even stop them, but who was going to risk getting lost in the pitch black woods when he obviously knew what he was doing?
"We're hunting for treasure."

He'd actually wanted to go to sleep tonight, his eyes closing slowly and repeatedly; wanting to be back in bed with Marlene. Though, as far as he knew, he was asleep right now. Now the figure was speaking, the sun setting behind the trees now.
A treasure hunt in the dark? That led to questioning about what it was they were hunting for. "Oh joy." One snippy comment, as was to be expected from Aeron. But that was all, he yawned and leaned his head on his hand, elbow on his thigh. He'd get back up eventually, because there was no choice in this little game.

A treasure hunt? That would prove to be interesting. Kristoffer didn't mind a little treasure hunt, though he wasn't sure how successful they'd be with the light going dim as it was. The sun was getting lower and lower behind the trees and the underbrush got darker and darker. It looked a little spooky once Kristoffer got to thinking about it, but it might not have been so bad.
He wondered who this mystery person was, mentioning a treasure hunt. He looked fanastical, almost like a member of the circus he performed with. Maybe that was why Kristoffer wasn't taken aback by his appearance at first. He was used to it.
"What kind of treasure?" Kristoffer asked, still incredibly curious about everything, strange as it might have been.

Rosalie was quiet. It was strange, having no words to express the wordless, screaming confusion that plagued his thoughts, his mind. Lips were pressed into a firm line and eyes passive with a hint of suspicion toward the other four beings present at the impromptu gathering in a grassy clearing bathed in sunset light. He hadn’t planned on taking an evening walk, and he wasn’t called into the clearing, either. So . . . why?
It was an invisible pull, tugging at his heartstrings, drawing him to the clearing like the opposite ends of two magnets. His arms were wrapped around himself, his own body responding to the danger that he suspected was buried deep in the back of his mind, but his mind was still enclosed in a dreamy reverie.
Shaking his head as it came up to address the man facing the four confused men and women, he met his words with—surprise, surprise!—unwavering skepticism. He extracted his arms from around himself and instead folded them across his chest—a more reasonable action in response to the situation he was plopped into. His tone was sultry, and if you listened hard enough, you’d detect the slightest tremble.
“Why should we?” he asked a wintry gaze. “I want to go home.”

Eyes adjusting to her surroundings, she noticed and heard more people. Which prompted her to inwardly groan. Odd hour of the day, no contacts in, my glasses are at home, and I don't have makeup or nice clothes on?! Giovanna immediately wanted to turn around and go home. But how would that happen? With it being dark and in the middle of who knows where, chances of her getting back alive were slim. "Ok, treasure. Yes, alright." She nodded along, wanting it to go faster. From her experiences, when encountered with something unexpected go along with it. Right when she shifted her legs, however, an onset of something unpleasant hit her. Oh shit. Her eyes widened and she turned to the man who spoke of treasure hunting. "Wait actually, could that uh, hunting wait a bit? I really need to go pee."

The reactions seemed mixed, though for the most part there was curiosity and apathy. One of the girls didn't seem to want to join the Treasure Brigade, but Messenger only shrugged. He wasn't forcing anyone - they could stay with the group and follow his lead or take their chances in the dark woods alone. Nor was he going to wait for anyone.
He flashed them all a warm smile, a smile that implied that there was nothing to worry about. "Settle down, kids."He murmured as he turned to plunge from the clearing into the thicker wood.
"You'll see when we get there." He said over his shoulder. "You'll get your share."He wondered, absently, if hunting was the right word.
Pom and Southie have been dropped from the event. Two more spots are open, and remaining particpants should get a post up soon or they'll be dropped too.

The real question was why someone would be traveling in the woods at night, holding tightly on to something that resembled a bottle in a paper bag. To be honest, Erik had no clue why his legs decided to go to the forest of all places, seeing as how nothing good seemed to come out of the drunk guy hanging out in the dark with a bunch of strangers. Then again, since when did that ever stop the white haired drunk.
Oh yeah. Never.
He heard a few words spoken from his place up in a tree ( why he was in a tree he had no clue, he didn't even know how he got in the tree to begin with ) but he sprawled across the branch like the Cheshire Cat from that one disney movie. It was a funny thought that made him laugh for a moment. "Did someone say treasure?" For some reason, he was reminded of a time when he dressed up as a pirate for Halloween, his catchphrase being 'lookin' for the booty'.
It was another funny thought that made him laugh, almost dropping his drink.

Z.E.U.S planned a trip for the second graders, and ellie had been excited about it since she had heard about it! however, the fact she was not allowed to bring her adorable little cat named raul, simply rained on her parade. however, that didn't stop little ellie from hiding her cat in her bag and bringing it along with her for the trip. however, she learned that she had made terrible decision when she awoke that night.
ellie opens her sleepy eyes at the sound of her precious little cat meowing at nothing. "what's wrong raul?" she manages to say before a yawn escapes her lips.
raul continues to meow, before exiting the tent. ellie's eyes go wide and she's wide awake now. she pulls on her jacket and her rain boots before picking up the flashlight her tentmate brought with her and races out of the tent.
she catches sight of raul, going into the forest and chases after him. "raul wait, no!! don't go into the dark forest!!" she says.
she stands at the edge of the forest, whimpering and glances behind her. say without her cat or leave and find him. ellie decides the latter is the best choice and starts into the forest.
she finds herself walking around for quite a while before she manages to catch up with her little cat. "raul!" she shouts and lunges for him.
she manages to catch him and stands with him in her arms, "don't you run away from me aga...in."
she almost doesn't finish her sentence when she realises she's found a group of adults she doesn't know, or at least, she doesn't think she knows them. her eyes go wide and she sort of retreats into herself.
her ears perk up at the sound of treasure but she doesn't outright say anything to express her interest.
the adults are talking after all.

Cass only started to doubt her sense of direction when she walked passed the same rock for the fifth fucking time. She stepped over another stuck-out root and decided ditching Leslie to deal with the investors was a bad, bad idea in hindsight.
While she normally didn't like stumbling upon a group of strangers, she did enjoy being disruptive. "D'awww, did the party start without me?" And under the light she went, gown tattered (after she promptly decided it was too much of a bother and ripped off the skirt) and hair perfectly mussed. A proper damsel in distress, even though she was anything but.
Hazy eyes scanned the crowd before zooming in on a certain redhead. "You!" Hands clasped in some kind of vague recollection, Cassiopeia stroked over and made a grab for his collar with both hands, intending on getting a closer look at his face, "I swear to Courvoisier I've seen this face before." She squinted in effort. Maybe he was one of those cousins she barely saw. SHE'S JUST HERE TO MAKE THINGS DIFFICULT idek

Wow, that was strange. All these new people really made Kristoffer wonder. It seemed ever so convenient for them to gather here at this spot with this person to find treasure.
Maybe there was some kind of memo he missed?
With a shrug, he kept his opinions to himself and watched everyone. The situation made him a little nervous and he didn't really see the need to talk to so many people when he didn't need to.
However...
"Um, sir?" Kristoffer asked as he scurried up to the ominous man, ignoring his uncomfortable aura. "What type of treasure is it?"
Kristoffer had to admit that he sounded rather greedy just asking the question, but it wasn't that he wanted to know if it was worth his time or not. He was honestly curious what he was going to end up getting.
