One minute in the back seat, you hit the switch, I’m a predator, rapture, I am killin it | @milan It couldn't be said that Leto was very amused right now, in fact it was obvious that it was the opposite. A frown tugged his lips down and knitted his eyebrows together in a hard expression that didn't invite people to come closer to make conversation with him. Even with his height he cut out an imposing figure and for more than one reason he was glad for that fact, most expected him to be the easiest to take out when it came down to it, while most of the time he had the task of being the bad cop and thus had surprised more than one person when it came down to it. His usual partner had called in sick and that left a stranger to take his place. Many things could be said about Leto, but one thing that was known was that he didn't deal with changes very well. At least they hopefully wouldn't expect him to be very friendly toward them. That would be asking too much of the good. A sigh escaped from his mouth and he crossed his arms, the uniform crinkling slightly in reply and that was almost enough for him to uncross them again. He stood upon appearing as perfect as possible, untouchable. He had only showed weakness once and that had cost him dearly. It was like that thought that summoned the phantom pain he suffered from occasionally and he idly rubbed at his ear and at the pointed tip. Of course he hadn't been born with it, but it might've appeared like it anyway. The tattoos as well, they twisted around his body in swirling patterns and often got admired. They didn't know the tale behind them, it didn't matter honestly. He had learned to live with it, to like them and take pride in them. Even though they hadn't been his choice, if it had been his he would never had gotten body modifications or art. Leto knew that it was useless to keep thinking about it and after a while he did stop thinking about it. Instead he focused on his surroundings yet again, eyes scanning the crowd for something that would give his new partner away. At least if he had arrived already and wouldn't run late. The male felt like sighing again and rubbing the bridge of his nose in irritation. |

I probably still adore you with your hands around my neck--* Milan, though he'd been on the force for a while, had yet to be assigned a partner. He'd been mostly one of those filing-reports, running-errands, wasting-away-all-that-academy-training-at-a-desk kinds of cops, but recently he'd been told he'd be getting a promotion and would soon be on the field, an idea that had him all too excited. He danced from foot to foot as he waited for his superiors to decide what more experienced cop he'd be paired with. He could only hope it'd be someone cool that he could learn loads from. He could already imagine an older, battle-scarred cop who would take him under his wing and show him the ropes properly. They'd be the best of friends, and eventually be an inseparable team! Lost in daydreams, his eyes were a little glazed even as his superior officer approached him.
Fingers snapping in front of his nose startled Milan out of the adventures going on in his head. "Yes, sir!" he blurted out on surprised impulse. The older man, looked down at him with a grim expression. "Milan," the other man said gruffly. "That's your new partner over there, now go introduce yourself." the commanding officer gestured towards the admittedly somewhat strange, but not unfamiliar figure of Leto Gheisari. Milan had heard all the rumors about the other man, but hadn't spoken to him more than a few greetings here and there. "Aren't you going to..." Milan turned but his commanding officer had already left. Looked as though he was on his own. He paused for a moment, unsure how to approach the other man on his own, but he soon decided there was no use just twiddling his thumbs and resolved to put his best foot forward.
A friendly smile on his face, Milan walked over to Leto fully prepared to hit it off with the other man. "Hi," he greeted him cheerfully, his excitement over finally having a partner overpowering his previous anxiousness. "I'm Milan, I'll be your new partner." he held out a hand to shake. "It's cool to finally get to talk to you." he'd planned on playing it cool, but he was already all gleaming eyes and adoration. Rumors about his appearance or not, Leto was clearly one of the coolest cops on the force, especially when compared to a "kitten" like Milan. Maybe if they worked together he might just get a little more respect.

One minute in the back seat, you hit the switch, I’m a predator, rapture, I am killin it | @milan He might have groaned and scowled more if he had seen how his future partner behaved. Luckily he didn't and instead had just a mild distaste for them even though they had never met, but mostly neutral all in all. Maybe he had met the other in passing, but that would be all. Their name hadn't sounded very familiar but he kept it running through his mind, turning it over and examining it. Wondering what the person behind that name would be like. Leto barely had the heart to hate anyone anyway these days, even if he hated someone, he put all of it in one person and not in the others that happened to piss him off enough. That didn't stop the intense dislike he could have for someone though. But that was another matter entirely. The white-haired male kept waiting, and waiting. He knew it wouldn't be too long, but he wanted to get a move on and not keep wasting time here. A light sigh fell from parted lips and he closed his eyes to shut the outside world out, at least for a moment. Soon he noticed someone moving towards him and he raised his gaze, not quite glaring but also not bothering to look very friendly, wondering if he had to settle for a more neutral look or make an attempt. The smile already irked him and he inwardly sighed, it looked like he didn't need bother. It would be one of those, huh? They soon would learn that being his partner wasn't coffee and donuts, but hard work. Maybe the other would give up and leave, that would be good. He wanted his old partner back, but alas that would be impossible for quite a while, or always. Leto might learn to like the other male, but it seemed so very doubtful at the moment. The greeting was spoken and he nodded his head briskly for a moment, acknowledging the other "Mr. Gheisari." He replied, offering a faint but grim smile. He didn't look at the hand, didn't even acknowledge it. Even if he did look at it, he wouldn't accept it. "I expect you to work hard, Milan." He replied, the lightest arch to his eyebrow as he lifted it, wondering if the other male would say anything. The hero-worship he could do without too. It usually ended in less than positive things and he wanted to avoid it as much as possible. It looked like it would be hard though and uncomfortable he shifted his gaze to the side. He made it look like it wasn't though and instead nodded at the direction he looked, luckily at the exit, "shall we?" He questioned, rhetorically as he didn't give the other the choice of agreeing or not. |
