"I know it's hard to tell how mixed up you feel"
☒ | @louka | ✐ | 334 | ✉ | Here you go, bby. :) |
MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS | They had been working on something, a joint clenched between their gritted teeth as they poised themselves. A rope was spanned between two chairs, made heavier by various objects. Their feet walked lightly across it, before the sound of a door ringing broke their concentration. A soft yelp and they had to roll to avoid from making an embarrassing face-planting on the ground. The rope landed on the ground with a soft thud and they looked at it in a disgruntled way. Damn it. The echoes of the doorbell however, called them back to the present and they straightened.
Right.
The outside world was still a thing. They pulled the joint, still unlit (thankfully) from their mouth and placed it somewhere out of sight in case it was someone who would enter and wanted to make conversation. That taken care of, they walked to the front door and hummed underneath their breath. A smile curved the corners of their mouth in a gentle smile, albeit forced. Evren didn't feel like smiling right now, they only wanted to curse at whoever dared to interrupt them from training. They opened the door, the words dying on their lips as they observed who was on the other side.
Their smile softened ever so lightly before they leaned against the door frame, casual "One could think that you love visiting." They spoke gently, brushing hair away with a rough hand. They where quite aware about how they looked right now, messy and just out of bed. The faintest of circles underneath their eyes and a pale cast to their usual tan. Although they had been awake since the early hours of the morn' "What would everyone think, mister Taylor?" Even when on first name basis, this was the way that they teased the other.
After a while, they straightened however, peering curiously at the male in front of him "Got something for me?" A bit rude perhaps, but weren't they quite eager to see what they could get! |

♛ in the darkness i will meet my creators and they will all agree that i’m a suffocator --* Louka had been hard at work all morning, but that wasn't anything new to him. He'd been working his job long enough to have become quite accustomed to early mornings and late nights. It did get a bit boring, however, constantly either knocking on doors with packages or simply sliding letters into mailboxes or mail slots, so when he arrived at the door of a customer he especially liked, he was more than happy to bound right up to it and ring the doorbell. He liked Evren, the other being more interesting than many of his other customers. He prepared a bright smile on his face as he listened for the sound of approaching steps.
As the door was opened and Evren greeted him --well, sort of greeted him-- Louka returned the teasing words with some of his own. "Not that I care what anyone may think, save for you, Evren," Louka began, flashing his most charming smile. "But I would would be more apt to assume that you just love me popping up on your doorstep with your orders." he liked this little give and take that they did. He honestly hadn't expected it upon first meeting Evren, but as messy-haired and sleepy-eyed the other looked, he somehow found it all the more endearing. At Evren's next question, however, Louka straightened up.
"Mmhmm!" he hummed cheerfully, before pretending to correct himself. "Oh, wait, you weren't talking about me, huh? Just sign your name here and then you can have fun figuring out what's in here." he grinned, holding out the box with a clipboard and pen atop it. As much as he would like to tease them and hold the package just out of their reach, he decided he rather liked seeing them happy at receiving their order. Besides, Louka wasn't sure still exactly how far he could go messing with Evren.

"I know it's hard to tell how mixed up you feel"
☒ | @louka | ✐ | 412 | ✉ | These cuties, happy sighs |
MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS | They laughed lowly, before nodding their head slowly as their eyebrows raised, almost curiously "My, your greatest weakness revealed." The smile softened even further however and yet they became more and more conscious about their looks and how horrible it must be to look upon. Of course they usually didn't care about their looks that much, but maybe they might have tried to make an impression. Maybe.
Not that they ever would say that out loud, at least they didn't receive any comments and they easily rolled with it and pretended that it didn't bother them at all and it really didn't. Really. There was no one to impress either. They hopped up and down on their feet, eager to return to what they had been doing before. They weren't that rude that they would point anyone the door however. They knew how to hold conversations. A miracle really.
A light hum in reply and then they shrugged their shoulders, a rueful smile across their expression "Guilty as charged." A single bony finger raised, they looked sternly toward Louka as if daring him to think otherwise than what they would continue saying, "only for the mail though." What Louka was thinking was being mirrored by Evren, really. They hadn't expected to warm up to him like they did. They didn't like socializing all that much after all. Then they had mail and it looked like they had been swept away in a rocky friendship that soon became solid.
It also had become quite heavy with flirting, most of it had been from the other male's side, they had been more reserved and timid to return it. Once they felt like they could safely return the teasing, they did so.
They gave a little snort in reply, "far will be the day that you will be my order." He spoke in turn, a little grin on their features. Admittedly they had been relieved that Louka didn't seem to make it a problem that they had preferred other pronouns to address them by. The clipboard and the likes was held out to them however and they took it to sign their name and signature. Nonetheless they weren't quite done teasing themselves.
Luckily Louka decided not to go that tour, "I almost feel like a famous person." They spoke idly, holding out the pen again for the other to grab. "At least it only stays with one adoring fan," they finished with a little chuckle. |

♛ in the darkness i will meet my creators and they will all agree that i’m a suffocator --* Louka hadn't actually been expecting to be met with an overjoyed reaction if he was being honest, but he rather did hope that someday he might be. Seeing as things were going pretty well already, however, he figured that all he really had to do was keep it up. Though he did occasionally get the thought to do something more daring, and when Evren leaned against the door like that the thoughts came all too easily. In spite of Evren's less flirty attitude, Louka felt as though they might be at least a little attracted to him, seeing as they were lingering at the door just as he was.
Louka grabbed his chest as though shot when Evren said he was far from ever being their order. "Ah, right in the heart!" he gasped, feigning pain. "Did anyone ever tell you that you're not supposed to shoot the messenger?" Louka whined pathetically, though his amusement was clear on his face. The smile on Evren's lips, however, was worth the teasing jab. He liked that the other was amused, even though it might be at his own expense. After all, if he could make them laugh he was pretty sure they'd be a little more willing to open up to him, though he still hadn't earned a laugh from them.
As the other said that they felt famous, Louka grinned. He reached out, hanging onto the pen but not yet pulling it away, seeing as it was the closest he could currently get to holding hands. "Oh, you are famous." he said, grinning. "Do you know how many postmen I have to battle to get the privilege of bringing you your mail?" he asked, as if he'd fought armies to be standing on Evren's doorstep. Of course, he'd really just been lucky to get this shift most of the time, otherwise he would have had to come up with excuses to end up standing here and that would have been more creepy than romantic.
Finally pulling the pen away, Louka tilted his head a little to one side as he asked. "Am I really just a fan, though?" his tone was curious. "Can't I at least be a not-so-secret admirer? I do try to be romantic. I surprise you at your door with gifts all the time." okay maybe not GIFTS per se, but he hoped he wouldn't get called out on that.

"I know it's hard to tell how mixed up you feel"
MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS | Of course Louka might get lucky if he kept it up, there was no need to step up his game. They already considered the other a potential partner, and not only loneliness was speaking. It had been ages since Evren had someone to share their bed with, admittedly they didn't exactly jump to do that either though. They liked to see where everything would go and take it like it came. Rushing was never good anyway. Of course they couldn't know what Louka thought about it.
The smile didn't fade at least when Louka pretended to be shot through the chest, head tilted again and watching carefully. Their shoulders raised in a slight shrug, their smile widened ever so lightly though, "I'd say sorry," he spoke, "but I'm not." The expression didn't fade either when Louka continued talking and they pretended to think. A slender finger pressed against their lips as they tapped it, "can't recall that they did." He retorted, before straightening from their slouch and rolling their shoulders.
Louka's dramatic act didn't miss their effect however and Evren might have felt bad if he had been another person and if they didn't spot the amusement on those handsome features. It told them that the other male wasn't serious at all and they could sleep easily tonight once more. They instead rubbed at their eyes again, covering a little yawn with a hand.
A laugh might be hard work, but not impossible. They had been tempted to laugh a few times already, but had restrained themselves each time, instead smiling or nearly chuckling. The pen was grabbed and Evren should release it, but they didn't for a while and kept hold of it themselves. The smile appeared again and this time their shoulders raised, feeling embarrassed. They would die if they ever get famous. This time they did chuckle faintly, "I'm sure I cannot imagine it." He replied, eyebrows raised meaningfully.
Evren blushed at those words and rubbed at their nose, trying to hide the color on their cheeks, "maybe." He confirmed, "it will be hard work though." They continued and fell silent again, their hand dropping back to their side as Louka pulled the pen away. A tilt of the head again, "most gifts you could keep." They might have pouted for a moment, "especially the bills." |

♛ in the darkness i will meet my creators and they will all agree that i’m a suffocator --* As much as Louka liked flirting with his customers when he met one at the door, things were different with Evren. Oh, they hadn't been at first, but now he found himself wanting to do a little more than just flirting, and the other's blush was almost too much for him to handle. It was rather rare that he managed to get such a reaction from Evren, seeing as his somewhat over-the-top flirting was usually met with cool, sarcastic replies--not that the blush seemed to be interfering with that much. The other was clearly still deflecting him, but that "maybe" made Louka wonder if he wasn't being pushed back as much as usual.
The idea alone was enough to make Louka grin, and he spoke cheerfully. "Looks like I'm making progress, then!" the announcement one that he was clearly happy to make. "I would stop delivering your bills if I could, but then I wouldn't have an excuse to see you as often as I do..." Louka paused for a moment, not sure if he might be taking his flirting too far if he continued. He wasn't sure if it was a chance he ought to take, seeing as they were clearly still playing cat and mouse. Then again, he was pretty sure that if Evren didn't like anything he said they would just deflect it as they normally did.
"Of course, I could replace them with love letters so I'd still have something to bring to your door." he continued. "I'm not terribly good at poetry, however, so you'd have to be prepared for Shakespeare quotes and maybe flowers." though if he were being honest, had Evren ever said that he DID want love letters, Louka would probably end up struggling all night to write something--or at the very least show up with flowers and maybe a cute rhyme. While it couldn't be said that the postman was terribly desperate, he could somehow see himself as being at Evren's mercy ever so easily. Not to say he quite minded that mental image.

"I know it's hard to tell how mixed up you feel"
MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS | It did look like their relationship had slowly changed, albeit slowly, from strangers to friendship and if it kept going like this, it soon would be even more and Evren wasn't entirely sure how they should think about it. It was new and interesting, but on the other hand the single life wasn't too bad, really. They could do whatever they wanted, without having to worry about someone else and didn't need to listen to their complaints. On the other hand, they did miss the heat of another body against theirs. They had been disinterested for a long while, until they slowly started to return the advances, deciding that they could go for it safely. Even though it wasn't in the traditional way.
They might have kicked themselves for blushing like that, still attempting to cover it up and most likely only succeeding on pulling more attention to the color. They would have looked strangely at the other's thoughts, of course they replied to the advances, maybe not in the straight way that others mostly preferred. But that really wasn't his problem. They tried, so they had to deal with their way of doing things.
A faint laugh and they nodded their head lightly, a show of agreement perhaps "It appears you do." They agreed and their eyebrows rose once more. It looked like they did that a lot within the other's presence. Not that they minded terrible, it was actually quite amusing to see his attempts at wooing them. It wasn't entirely unsuccessful so that was a score for him. Evren could be a bastard however and start rejecting all his advances again. Luckily they didn't feel like doing that, even though they where open to it, there was some doubt. They didn't know each other all that well after all. It was still wondering if this would be the correct thing to do.
Their lips twitched once more and then they shrugged their shoulders, "I suppose that's true." They gave Louka that. It would make the other have a lot less reason to visit, Evren wasn't sure if that would be good or not. They went for the latter, the male was quite amusing to them and they wanted to know a lot more, to tease a lot more. That might be the question, Evren could close down again, or reply favorable to Louka's advances. It was a dive into the unknown right now. Even for themselves. They couldn't deny that it would be easier if they could give a straight answer if one asked them.
At those words, Evren's blush worsened and they shook their head lightly in reply, "that won't be needed." They spoke, although their body language didn't reject that idea entirely. They did think about getting a love letter, to read about the other's intense feelings. If they could be called intense. They couldn't guess after anyone's feelings, nor thoughts. They could only hear and see what Louka did. They didn't think they would mind staring to get to know everything there was to known about the other.
A light wrinkle of the nose, they didn't like flowers very much, although they could appreciate the thought behind it, "I don't think that would be needed." They spoke, waving their hand lightly in reply. They controlled their blush a little better this time around. There was another faint smile however, "but I am almost curious to see how good you know Shakespeare." Then they silenced, as if realizing how much they had said and how much they had given free.
Maybe Evren wouldn't mind having Louka under their mercy, that idea would be enticing if their thoughts followed Louka's.

♛ in the darkness i will meet my creators and they will all agree that i’m a suffocator --* Louka knew his brand of charm could be seen as a little (or maybe a lot) cheesy, but he always put as much heart as he could into it and he was sure it'd pay off--which he was pretty sure it was starting to. Sure, Evren raised eyebrows weren't exactly an invitation in, but even with that face on Louka was far from discouraged. He'd already made the other smile and was so far assured that he'd made more progress with them than ever before and so he felt as though he was pretty safe in where he stood with the other so far. It was going to take a bit of courage to go through with what he planned, but he was going to risk asking the other out, he just had to figure out the right moment.
Evren saying his love letters wouldn't be needed gave Louka moment of pause, however. The refusal seemed a little halfhearted, and he decided a love letter was probably a pretty good idea--especially when he saw the deepening blush on their face. What would Evren's reaction be if he actually gave them a love letter? How cute would it be? Louka was almost lost in the images of Evren blushing hotly, perhaps refusing to take the letter at first, maybe stuttering, needing the letter to be pushed into their hand.... Louka's fantasies were killing him, his heart skipping a beat before its rate sped up. Suddenly Evren was even cuter to him.
As the other said they'd like to see how well he knew Shakespeare, Louka gave himself a mental slap and told himself to get a grip. He needed to give Evren his full attention if he wanted to keep up with the witty acrobat--even if his wandering thoughts were really just circling around the very person standing before him.
"I don't mean to brag," he began, clearly bragging. "But Shakespeare is my man. I can quote him frontwards, backwards and sideways." Louka could only hope Evren didn't take him up on that bluff, seeing as he only really knew the more popular lines---mainly the ones from Romeo and Juliet. It then dawned upon him that (dare he say it) Evren had just been flirting back--though with much more restraint than himself-- and Louka decided now was as good a time as any.
"Of course, if you really want to hear me recite Shakespeare, how about I take you to dinner this Saturday?" he asked. As much as he tried to keep himself composed, it felt like his heart was beating so fast he ought to be calling for a doctor, and his feet did a little anxious dance as he wondered just what sort of reply he would get. For once he could feel himself blushing, and he found himself gripping his clipboard so hard his knuckles turned white. He fought the urge to lift it up and hide his face behind it. He normally didn't feel so nervous asking someone out, but he wasn't entirely sure what Evren would say and while he knew he ought to be prepared for rejection, he also knew it would probably mean working up the courage to asking them out once more if he were to try again.

"I know it's hard to tell how mixed up you feel"
☒ | @louka
| ✐ | 442 | ✉ | let's ignore that it has been ages. ooops.
|
MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS | It was hella cheesy, not that they would ever mention that. They would keep their silence and watch Louka flounder along and think that he was the best thing since sliced bread. It did make them nearly chuckle a few times before after all. They might have done differently however if they knew what the other person was planning, yet they did not and instead remained curious about the reason of Louka staying here. Talking.
Not that they necessarily wanted the other to leave, but they might be surprised. They didn't know about the fact that Louka gathered his courage to ask the question.
Flustering them terrible as a result if it came down to that. Yet silence was allowed to reign for a moment longer. They would have spluttered and shoved Louka away if they could read his mind at that moment. They would insist that they would not blush and stutter, that they wouldn't accept a love letter and refuse to accept future ones. Of course that was only words, they had never received one before so didn't know how they would handle it either.
It looked like Louka pulled himself out of his own thoughts on time, Evren shifted their weight again and idly scratched their upper arm before tossing an almost lazy smile towards him. Oh yes, they where witty. King of the wit right here, yessire. Oh who did they try to kid? They just tried to survive in a world that seemed to insist on putting them into a word that didn't fit him at all.
Of course Evren also heard the bragging notes, but for the sake of Louka they didn't mention it and instead nodded slowly, "sure you do." They commented, shaking their head lightly and curly hair dropped in front of their features, pushed away with a bony hand. Evren would deny the fact that they had been flirting back, they didn't do the flirting thing, at all. They had given up on flirting ages ago, had never started it either.
How silly to think otherwise.
"I'm not sure if I want to." They commented, clearly teasing for a moment before their demeanor changed. They thought seriously about the other's offer, wondering if they should take it or not. On one hand it would be nice to go out on the dating scene and maybe getting laid again. On the other, they didn't know if it was a good thing and didn't want to start something right now.
They bit their lower lip, before shrugging their shoulders, "maybe." They instead offered, looking awkward for a moment, "if I can free up my schedule."

♛ in the darkness i will meet my creators and they will all agree that i’m a suffocator --* Louka prepared himself for rejection the moment he dared let the words slip past his lips. He knew Evren would probably be picky about who they went out with, and he was pretty sure he probably didn't make the usual cut. The other was out of his league, for certain, so Louka wouldn't be surprised if Evren decided not to waste time on him. Not to say Louka would waste Evren's time, of course, he'd do his best to make however much time they spent together worthwhile. Given the chance, Louka would take every opportunity to spoil the acrobat rotten in any way he could, and he would doubtlessly do as much on their date.
He couldn't help it. Evren was so reserved, and while he found his aloofness cute in a way, he wanted to see other, even cuter sides of them. Sure, it might be a little too much to ask at this point in there ever so slowly developing relationship, but Louka never really had much restraint in general to wait very long.
At the other's reply, however, Louka's eyes widened. A maybe? He got a maybe! That was an almost-yes! He resisted the urge to hop and whoop. A grin spread across his face, more than happy that he was simply getting Evren's consideration. He could see, though, that the other was clearly feeling awkward and hadn't quite made up their mind yet, so he figured he ought to do some smoothing to ease their worry.
"Not to worry," he said, reassuringly. "I know you got other stuff to do. I figured we could keep it casual, chat over some good food and have fun. Nothing serious." after all, he'd already gathered that Evren probably wouldn't be one for a whirlwind romance. Louka, however impulsive and headstrong he could be, could rein himself in if that was what Evren wanted. Oh, sure, he wanted to skip to the part where they were lovey-dovey together and holding hands while walking, but he'd let Evren set the pace for when that happened.
Louka tilted his head to one side before speaking once more. "I know," he said, perking up. "I'll give you my number, so if you can't make it or change your mind, just gimme a call or text." he didn't really wait for the other before he'd already ripped a piece off the paper on his clipboard and scribbled his number on it. He held the scrap of paper out, smiling. "Don't lose it, okay? If you do, I'll pop up on your doorstep at 7pm on Saturday with or without a text." Essentially, what he was doing by giving Evren his number was giving them perfect control of what happened next. He didn't have Evren's number, so contact would have to be initiated by them should they want.
