| LOVE IS JUST GREED, A SELFISH LITTLE NEED An off-day came once in a long while for Capella. She rarely ever took days for herself. It was then that she would silence her ever-chatty cellphone, abandon her beloved storefront and head to her favorite cafe in Nova Athenis. Of course, just because it was her day off didn't mean she had to look it. She was still the image of refinement in a cream peacoat and heeled boots.
Irresistibly Sweet was quiet today in the early afternoon. She preferred it. She sat at a table near the window and ordered a pudding and cappuccino for herself. While the order arrived she busied herself with flipping through the pages of a glossy and finding faults in everybody's outfits. coded by electric of gs

| | | We are wild, we are like young volcanoes We are wild, Americana, exotica Do you wanna feel a little beautiful baby? | Jayden was a night owl; his job tended to keep him up late, and when he wasn't working, he was usually frquenting clubs and parties -- wherever he could get himself into. If he wasn't doing either of those, well, he probably was "entertaining" a new friend or two alone in his room. The sun had usually already risen over the horizon before he found a place to crash and sleep through most of he day. However, today was different. Jayden had awoken early -- well, early to him at least -- and gotten dressed to go out for the day. He wasn't quite sure what he wanted to do, but it definitely wasn't stay home all day; that was way too boring for him to even think about. Jayden ended up meandering around the town, looking for something -- or someone -- interesting to do. He had managed to comb out the tangles in his long blond hair that morning and pulled it back into a ponytail. He had pulled on a simple black shirt, buttoned up most of the way, his usual pair of sunglasses perched on his nose, and a small smirk on his lips as he passed people by on the street. He ducked into Irresistibly Sweet for a quickl break when his eyes fell on a woman sitting at a table alone. She was very pretty and very well dressed, and he couldn't help but smirk a little more as he made his way over to her. "Is this seat taken?" the blond man asked, not waiting for a response before he sat himself across from her, slipping his sunglasses down a little to get a better look at her. "I'm Jayden, by the way." CAPELLA BELIVEAU |

| LOVE IS JUST GREED, A SELFISH LITTLE NEED She gave herself a flip or two through the glossy before she deigned to peer upwards at her newest suitor. Capella's eyes slowly trailed up his shirt to meet his eyes, half-covered by sunglasses. She weighed her options mentally for a moment- she could either send him away now, or have some fun and then kick him outside. It wasn't a rule, but Capella had a particular aversion to dating men who wore sunglasses and ponytails. Perhaps it was little bit judgmental of her. Her boredom and the fact that she was done with the magazine made her reply "No, but I suppose it is now."
Her voice was rather dry as she said it, but hopefully he would prove to be amusing to play around with while she finished her coffee. "Capella." She flipped the glossy shut and pushed it aside as the waitress came back with her cappuccino. It was embellished with a little heart. How quaint. "Whatever made you decide to come sit with little old me?" She inquired, a playful tone catching her voice. She was a shameless flirt and quite good at it, really.

| | | We are wild, we are like young volcanoes We are wild, Americana, exotica Do you wanna feel a little beautiful baby? | He was a little worried at first that she wasn’t that interested in him already, though that would hardly keep him from trying. Jayden was a persistent man, and he was used to getting what he wanted. It usually took something along the lines of a good slap to the face to chase him away (and he’s had his fair share of those). So when this woman seemed disinterested, he was a little concerned that could be the outcome. However, once she had set aside what she had been looking at, her voice shifted to something a little more flirty. Jayden smirked a little. Of course he was interested in him. Who wouldn’t be? He was an attractive, charismatic, completely irresistible man, after all. “Well, babe, you were too gorgeous to pass up,” he said with his usual little smirk. CAPELLA BELIVEAU |

| She smiled but the movement of her muscles barely touched her lips. It was the tiniest of motions, but she did it while looking directly into his eyes. Her right hand absently stirred the latte so that the heart faded away in a swirl of milk and espresso. Taken by the qualities of his body alone and without his distasteful styling choices, this Jayden was a handsome kind of man. But she wouldn't be able to say he was wealthy. Sure, the sunglasses were brand name, the shirt was well made, but he lacked the air she had long associated with having too much money.
Instead she smelled a sort of arrogant confidence around him, concentrated in the corner of his mouth when he smirked at her. "You flatter me, truly." She deflected calmly, taking a moment to lean back slightly in her seat. "Are you a regular here?" She inquired softly. Simple small talk. She lifted the spoon to her mouth and took a sip of the latte. Delicious. Foamy with a bitter aftertaste, just the way she liked it. "I find myself at this cafe quite often on my own days off."

| | | We are wild, we are like young volcanoes We are wild, Americana, exotica Do you wanna feel a little beautiful baby? | “Nah, I don't usually do coffee shops,” Jayden replied, leaning back with his arm resting on the back of the seat. He was feeling pretty cocky today, even for him. Of course this chick was into him – who wouldn't be? Jayden was an attractive guy who was very good at what he did (usually other attractive people like himself). “Since you come here a lot, maybe you can recommend a drink? You look like a woman with good taste.” The blond wasn't much of a fancy coffee drinker; he usually liked his black and bitter to wake him up in the morning – or rather, afternoon. However, he could down this kind of stuff if he needed to, especially if a pretty lady was involved. CAPELLA BELIVEAU |

| She shrugged slightly at his response and observed carefully when he leaned back. Perhaps his arrogance was not entirely unfounded but it certainly was not going to work on her. At least he knew how to flatter, but she felt an undercurrent of expectation behind his easy compliments. She wondered what he would do when she kicked the chair out from under him. Metaphorically, of course. Best stay classy.
She ordered him a Turkish coffee from a waitress passing by. "You seem like man who prefers a strong brew." She teased softly. She paused for a moment to align their eyes. "You must get what you want quite often." She mentioned it offhandedly, still stirring up her drink and sipping it slowly. She may have spoken dismissively, but her tone was quite different from the playful one she had just assumed. Almost confrontational. Perhaps it might catch him off guard. Perhaps not.
