Degrading. That's what this was. He fell from the highest social class to the low, and nothing that Emil could do would make him forget that. He couldn't believe that he was actually doing this, but anything beat patrolling the streets for customers. It was a much more classier way to whore himself out, right? A much classier way to make money. A much less dangerous way to make money too, right? It had to be or else he was going about this all wrong. He didn't like the air as soon as he walked into the brothel. It smelled. "Hey boy, looking for a good time?"
"No." He didn't even look at the person who was beckoning him. "I'm looking for a job." He spoke, his back towards the woman. He didn't want to look at her, he had a basic idea of what she looked like in the back of his head. Some pretty brunette with an ugly druggie soul, just like him. He couldn't face himself. "Then you'll want to talk to the boss."
"And where would this boss be?"
"Back room, the one with the name tag on it."
"Thanks." One could feel the apathy in his voice. He wasn't thankful for the woman's guidance, personally he would have rather done without it - maybe he wouldn't go through with it. Maybe he would have backed out and walked away. Now that he knew where he had to go that was no longer an option. He followed the girl's directions and knocked on the door before he opened it. "I'm looking for a job."CODED BY ELECTRIC OF GS

i still don't think the problem is me Marina was busy with staring at her flawless reflection with her delicate silver hand mirror that was a birthday gift from a faithless man trying to get into her good books. It worked, she fell in love with the mirror, but not with it's previous owner. Gifts may just lighten her mood, but she'd go to hell before they'd sway her mind.
Content that the two white ribbons decorating her beautiful head of hair were straightened properly without a crease to be seen, she used the mirror to reflect the contents of her office. A startling difference to the scenery outside, it was polished, neat, and minimal. The room was swept with a black and white design theme, save for the pot of aloe vera she kept for beauty emergencies. It was almost devoid of light, since the curtains were drawn, save for the metallic lamp that shoe down on her silver mirror.
In response to the knocked door, Marina moved the lamp so it shone on the intruder's face. A young boy, with assured value brought himself to her. Oh, how rare. Marina didn't have to guess twice to know what business the boy was here for.
"You must understand boy, we work by manners here, even if the rest of society doesn't." Placing the mirror down on her desk, she pulled her chair closer to the table.
"Hmmmm... Are you now? How brave of you to come wondering in here without so much of a... never mind. Say, boy, are you a virgin?" Marina smirked, a chin resting on her hand.

"I'm sorry." He mumbled, though he really didn't mean it. Emil was a born spawned in wealth - of course he knew his manners, and he could call upon them when needed but what was the point? He was trash, just like the rest of them. "I'll try my best to keep that in mind, miss." If they relied on manners, did that mean the customers did too? Did that mean they understood the word no? Probably not - if they needed to get themselves off on paid whores they didn't understand what it meant to be somewhat of a gentleman at least. "Does that mean I have the right to say no?" The thought voiced itself. Was he a virgin? His first time, well that was pleasant - it was with the daughter of one of his mother's friends. She was pretty. The pair dated for several months until he bedded her, and then it was over. The spark was gone. That wasn't the scene that came to Emil's mind though, it was his first time getting paid for his actions, and he shuddered to remember it. He hadn't been a whore for very long now, but each instance he remembered as much as he wished he didn't. "No, but that doesn't affect my chances right?" CODED BY ELECTRIC OF GS

I'M THE ONE THAT MAKES YOU SCREAM | She'd let the little boy off with that fake little apology, because Marina was in a good mood tonight. Everything was running smoothly, so there was no shit she had to pick up and deal with and smother in another's face.
She narrowed her eyes with a playful smirk. "No, but you didn't walk in here thinking that, did you? Fortunately, that right... is only reserved for me, and me alone in this establishment. I am the Queen, I write the law. You know that, boy?" Her free hand made empty gestures, while her other carried the weight of her skull.
"Just because we're sinners doesn't mean I'm not allowed to hear good manners. We all need a bit of order in our lives, yes?" She wasn't usually this chatty, but this little boy was cute. Her ruby red eyes looked him up and down. Kind of thin and lanky. Good, she didn't have to underfeed him. Saving her trouble already.
"No, but that doesn't affect my chances right?"
In response, Marina shook her head good naturedly, with a beautiful fake smile.
"No, but it also means you're not worth as much." Shrugging like it was natural to hear such a thing, she tapped her long red nails on her desk, an open invitation for him to take a seat before her.

She was the law maker, huh? The queen? Of what? The queen of a bloody goddamn dump full of hookers and lowlifes, but Emil decided to keep his opinion to himself. There was no need to get into an argument and lose the prospect of working here, which all and all, was probably a lot safer than working in the streets. "I now know that." Yes, she made the law, and he had to obey it. She was the pimp and he was the whore, and nothing really changes just the names and faces. He ran a hand through his hair. "Order in the life of a sinner, never really heard of that one before." It was the truth, sinners and criminals were all for disorder and chaos - from Emil's point of view anyway. He shrugged, hurtful comments didn't really upset him anymore. "Thought the experienced were worth a much more pretty penny in society." Suddenly he grew nervous, he didn't really mean to second guess her. He ran a hand through his hair again, in an attempt to at least stop the jitter he felt in his joints. CODED BY ELECTRIC OF GS

I'M THE ONE THAT MAKES YOU SCREAM | She laughed with a twinkle in her eye. She was of course, belittling him.
"Child, that just means you're used and old." She shrugged. "Everyone wants a pure, blessed, holy virgin. They don't want to think they're using soiled goods. Everyone's a fool, and it'd be good for you to understand that."
She smiled more now, coy like a cheshire cat, a hand under her chin.
"Of course you can join us. I'd be delighted." Marina said suddenly, in between that shot pause of silence. "Name?"

All he could do his grit his teeth and bear whatever insult she threw his way, he wasn't here to make problems or enemies for that matter. He just had to let it roll off his back, water on the bridge. The her words did, however, haunt him eating away at whatever self esteem he had left, which wasn't much. "Emil, my name is Emil..." He took a moment to think, he could no longer be use his last name. What was his father's last name again? Cedric.... Cedric Raines? Raines, yeah that was it. "Raines."CODED BY ELECTRIC OF GS

I'M THE ONE THAT MAKES YOU SCREAM | As she opened a draw and slipped out her accounts book, she allowed the boy to wallow in silence. Uncapping the fountain pen on her desk, she drew his name, Emil Raines in curly, lacy writing and the date of his arrival, neatly next to it.
"CHRISSIE!" She yelled, to her door, as a frail looking blonde girl with a sly grin opened the door.
"Yes boss!" Was the girl's response, eyeing the boy at Marina's desk.
"Take the kid and show him the ropes." Marina stood up from her chair, back facing the two with her arms crossed, for just a moment.
She then leaned closer to the boy with a small smile. "You'll be fine here. Stay smart, obey the rules, and we'll have no need to speak in here again... yeah?"
"Take him out."

That was that. He didn't bother talking anymore. Emil nodded, the only thing that he could do without... well, expressing his anger to put it lightly. The only way that this woman could have noticed well, was from him clenching his fists so tight that he was sure his short nails were making marks in his skin. He wanted to punch someone, anyone, just to show them that he too was human. Or maybe he wasn't? Who knows anymore. He left with the girl, who wanted to show him the ropes, sounded as fun as a barrel of fucking monkeys. CODED BY ELECTRIC OF GS
