• as a child, seraphine's sole ambition was to run away and join the circus. at the age of sixteen, she finally managed to achieve this by dropping out of high school and joining up with the traveling circus that had stopped by in her town. she ended up wandering from circus to circus, amassing a variety of skills until finally joining up with the circus on nova athenis.

• seraphine also doubles as a magician, in addition to being a fire-eater. she has a variety of other skills which she has picked up over the course of her career, including knife-throwing and fortune-reading, and a curiosity for every other performance-related skill that can be used in the circus. she wants to know it all.
