LARKIN, TED

history.
teenage sweethearts from high-school, that one couple that everybody knew would be together forever. it turns out that all their friends were not wrong, for when this pair of love-birds finished college they married each other at the ripe ages of twenty-five and -six. such a beautiful wedding it was.

two years on and this couple were graced with a child, a boy to be precise. this young soul was named theodore a week after his birth after much conflict between names, although the decision that he be named after his great grandfather seemed to be a good option. young theodore was a healthy baby, although was born exactly two weeks after the estimated due date. it is safe to say there was no shortage of gifts for the young lad as many friends offered clothing and toys and general baby presents.

the first five years of ted's life was comfortable to say the least. his parents both worked, his father a small-time lawyer and his mother a teacher, so it wasn't unusual for him to be cared for by his grandparents and the occasional babysitter. he very much enjoyed nursery at age three, less so his time at reception at age four. unfortunately for the child he never got to complete year 1 at infant school due to a move that his parents decided would better the family at age five. due to a vacation on an island known as nova athenis that turned out extremely pleasing the boy's parents made the decision to move to the magical little place, leaving behind their families with the promise that there would be many visits.

his young age meant fitting into his new life was fairly easy despite a few bumps in the road but by age six ted had found a circle of friends that he was comfortable with. at the age of seven ted's mother was to give birth to a second child, this one female and named zoey. theodore was over-joyed by his new little sister, and the two were pretty much inseparable. of course, their relationship would falter at times as would be expected between siblings, but in the end the two would always make up somehow.

growing up ted always had a dislike for physical activities and instead preferred music. when it came to his p.e classes he was a usual for excuses to not join. so while many of his friends would enjoy playing a game of football in their free-time, ted would not. instead he would sit on the sidelines and cheer his friends or perhaps write some music as he much liked to do. certain students would notice his indifference to p.e and his passion for music, and of course this seemed to make ted a target for bullying. more often than not he was accused of being a 'pansy' or a girl for liking music, yet his passion never faltered.

at twelve years old ted moved to junior high school, and it was here that he really begun to focus on his career choices. since music was one of his biggest interests and hobbies he considered it a career option and took up professional lessons in both singing and piano playing. by the age of sixteen the boy was fairly talented in both piano and his singing and was recommended to join his school choir group. of course he accepted, and soon the boy was participating in concerts both in and out of school with his group. attending one of these concerts happened to be the headmaster of a performing arts school who noticed a few talented young people, one of them being ted.

you can imagine the boy's excitement as he received a letter of recognition from the headmaster, inviting the now seventeen year old to tour the wonderful institution and consider joining. of course he would accept the invitation to chase his dreams, and soon the eighteen year old boy was leaving home for his own dormitory at the school, ready to pursue his career of music.

♪ along with music ted enjoys cooking and can make some rather tasty dishes that he learned from his mother. he also likes to read when he's not busy doing homework or practising, and prefers to read romances and horrors, stephen king being a favourite of his. finally, while he was never one for physical activity at school, jogging seems to be all he ever wants to do and often times ted can be seen jogging either early morning or early evening.

♪ he despises his full name, and very much prefers if people call him ted or some other imaginative nickname - as long as it isn't theodore!

♪ due to his passion for singing it isn't odd to hear the boy humming to himself and singing quietly while alone. occasionally he will sing while with company but it is often by impulse rather than purpose, as ted is quite shy when it comes to singing in front of his friends despite his confidence while performing.

♪ let it be known that ted is extremely clumsy, almost dangerously so. it will soon become a norm for new friends to see him with plasters on from times he has been cut or done some other stupid thing to injure himself. the advice is to watch yourself around him; he may literally end up poking your eye out.

♪ ted has wound up with an amazing height of 184cm although he has managed to not become too lanky with a weight of 63kg.

♪ while he isn't inexperienced when it comes to relationships, he still isn't a master and is, as society would deem, a 'virgin'. don't get me wrong; he took all of his special classes in school and isn't uneducated, the opportunity has just never popped up for him.

♪ despite living amongst many different accents since living on the island of nova athenis, ted has somehow managed to obtain his english accent. it has weakened from how it used to be, but you can still easily tell that he is british when he talks.
