A few ways down the chocolate shop stood a dark-haired man, a guitar case slung across his shoulder. He took a few glances here and there, before his eyebrows furrowed, having not seen who he was looking for. Confusion stayed on his face for a moment before he pulled his phone up, noting the time on the screen. Huh, did he fall asleep? Or maybe he hadn't gotten his message? Still, it was weird for him not to see the other man around here at this time on this day. He'd even shot him a message! It had been a while since he'd seen Frank. Or, well, a while by their standard. Frank was one of the very few close friends he had around in this town, and he rather liked spending his time with the other male. It was hilarious to think back to the first time they met, competing for so-called 'customers' and ending up with so little. Still, he supposed it was great that happened - even if they both ended up looking like idiots. Though one idiot seemed to be taking his sweet time. With a sigh and a hand running through his hair, Cain pulled up his cellphone, punching another message to the other musician. hey where are you?? you better not have fallen asleep! When he left Noemi's place, he dropped his phone on the floor.
It rolled about for a bit, and begrudgingly, he followed it and picked it up, flicking at the screen as if it'd come back to life if he would poke it a little harder. Nope. Nothing. Honestly, Frank didn't have a lot of people to contact, and thus didn't really need to carry his phone out a lot with him, but he was supposed to meet Cain today.
Ah well, he could remember the time and the place well enough, he thought to himself as he pocketed his seemingly broken brick of a phone and trudged down the street. He had enough money to make it to the East, but he doubted he'd have enough for a nice coffee and a muffin or something like that. Frank groaned. Oh, what a life it was to be poor.
Frank had made it to the meeting place nearly half an hour late, but he still walked in slowly. Eyes filtering through the groups of people, he nodded to himself as he saw Cain's figure standing some ways near the chocolate shop, shouted his name and waved at him, now moving a little quicker.
"Sorry mate. The phone died. I mean, it's actually dead, I'm sure." Frank shook his head, sighing. In one hand was his small trunk, and on his back, two cases.

Still no reply. Ah, well, he'd probably get here soon. He hoped. Frank didn't strike him as an ass who'll just stand him up, anyway. Still, he was getting rather impatient, having taken to walking down the road every now and then and ignoring the weird looks he was getting. He'd been walking around the same area for about thirty minutes already -- he was starting to think these people were thinking he was behaving suspiciously. Maybe he should've thought about playing his guitar in this street.
It was only after a while that he heard Frank's voice. Cain turned his head at his name, seeing the blond? male sort of running towards him. Finally. What a good friend he was for waiting it out for this guy. Cain heaved a sigh of relief seeing Frank, raising his hand to know he'd seen him as he waited for him to move closer and closer -- only to furrow his eyebrows again.
"I thought you fell asleep on me or something." Cain called out, chuckling to himself as he moved a bit closer to where Frank was. As the other neared, Cain saw what actually made him look so big in the distance. Two cases and a trunk in hand. That was ... weird. And heavy. Cain took his eyes off the bags before he looked back up at Frank when he spoke, saying something about how his phone died.
"Yeah, sorry 'bout that'-" He was, really, but his mind was more focused on the bags. "But anyway, what's this? You look like you're running away. Or going on a trip." He gave a chuckle, cocking his head at the bags the other carried. "Here, that looks heavy, lemme hold one of those." Cain moved closer, reaching out to get one of the cases slung on his bag.

"Nope, no such thing. I had a lot of sleep last night. I don't have a clue, but it should last me." Frank shrugged.
"Sorry? What you sorry for? I'm the one who made you- Uh, I promise we're not breaking up, Cain. I just got kicked out my last 'situation', so I'm gonna look for a place to stay, not that I think I'll be getting any options right now. Thanks man!" Normally he'd be reluctant to hand over one of his babies to another person, but Cain was no stranger. He knew how to handle instruments, Frank could trust him.
"Yeah, so uh, what did you wanna meet me out here for?" Tilting his head, he watched Cain curiously.

"Oh, thank god, I thought you were leaving me." He grinned, although he supposed that was a little inappropriate, with Frank's situation. Kicked out sounds horrible - and knowing Frank, he was pretty sure he didn't have a lot of money on him, either. Adjusting his own case slung across his back, Cain took the case on Frank, keeping it in his hands.
At his question, Cain legitimately forgot for a moment what it was that he called out Frank there for. "Oh, right. That. I wanted you to check out something I wrote, maybe get something to eat while we're at it." He looked around at the line of shops before turning back to Frank. "Probably not a good idea, though, if we're carrying these around." He shrugged a shoulder, half-raising the case he had a hold on.
"Or, hey, we can go back to my place! And we'll solve your living situation there, too."

"Nah, leave you? Who else I got in this bad bad world?" Frank laughed heartily, in fact in the most amused manner for a long time. Cain was a good joker, sure he was.
"Sure, sure, your treat though. I haven't found work recently." Frank blatantly said. "Nah, it's fine. I've been wondering around with all my shit with me before you even got here. Life's rough, you gotta tough it out. Doesn't look like it but I can be pretty strong!" He smirked. All in a good day's work.
Frank blinked. Twice. What? Living arrangements?
"Holy- what, you serious? Oh man, if I didn't love you then, I love you now. Thanks man! I was worried about where I'd be sleeping tonight too. You've put a huge weight off my shoulders!" Frank grinned. "I'd give you a pat on the back but my hands are full, don't wanna headbutt you."

He supposed that was true. Frank had been here for way more than he had - Cain was still (in a sense) fresh meat around these parts, though he had gotten used to the place. He was partially grateful to Frank for that. And he felt like he needed to help him with his problem now, though really, for Cain, it was more because they were friends now than having had any sort of debt.
"Yeah! Mom likes you, anyway, I'm sure she'd be fine with it." He grinned at Frank, adjusting his own case on his shoulder. "But! You have to look for a job while you're with us. We don't exactly have a lot of money, either." Ah, he wished they were richer but Cain would get there. He was confident he will! But for now, he'd just keep working on his music and strike gold one day!
"Come on, let's just put your things there," he said, turning to the direction of their small apartment. "Oh, hey, have you eaten yet? I can buy you something as a treat for being my new roommate!"
