He smoothed the lapels of his school blazer, thinking. Jamie wasn't stupid - he knew the nature of the family business and that it was, as one might assume, to be kept in the family. This had been drilled into his head enough that he remembered it even on his worst days, when it seemed to be the only thing he could recall.
"I'm not supposed to talk about it." He mumbled, averting his eyes to look at the patch of light on the ground, which had moved, reddened. The sun was setting.

Jamie's voice was quiet, and Lucie got the impression that he'd said too much. It was clear now that there was much more to Primo than she'd originally thought, and a spark of interest was lit inside of her. This usually wasn't her thing, but she couldn't help it. If he hadn't been interesting before, he was dangerously so now. She knew she shouldn't poke and pry. "That's okay," she said, resisting the urge to call him sweetie. Jamie was a little...odd, that was for sure, but he seemed like a soft-spoken and lonesome boy. Something made her want to reach out to him, but that would be uncalled for right now. "I understand, it's private business..." JAMIE MARTINELLI

He fidgeted under Lucie's gaze, always uncomfortable with attention. It didn't happen often, but some odd set of circumstances had him standing here, trying to fold into himself until he disappeared. He followed the patterns in the carpet with his eyes until he felt dizzy, and his words came out oddly in his confusion. "So you're... real... a friend?"

Jamie's words came out jumbled, and Lucie didn't know if he was going to be okay. However, he seemed to be conscious enough and was at least still standing upright, so the woman didn't worry too much. She always worried too much, especially about children — probably one of the reasons she she became a teacher, after all. "Um...well, I'm not quite sure," she admitted. "I just met him today, and he invited me over to his house and I, um, couldn't really say no." It was a strange circumstance. It's not like she minded visiting Primo's home, it was just very sudden and she wasn't quite sure why he had invited her over in the first place. "Oh, um, unless you're asking if I'm a friend, in general...and I'd like to think so," she explained, realizing Jamie hadn't really specified anything so she wanted to make sure she covered all the bases so he wasn't any more confused than he seemed to be right now. "I'm not going to hurt you or anyone..." JAMIE MARTINELLI

He was beginning to come to the conclusion that Lucie was very probably real. He didn't usually hallucinate people or hold conversations with his imaginary tormenters. And his hallucinations were hardly ever nice.
Jamie nodded distractedly. "Doesn't matter." He murmured - he was used to being bullied, he didn't really mind or fear it.
Swaying a little on his feet, he looked back at Lucie. The reminder of Primo gave him a little resolve - to get out of here before he found them. Before he found Jamie at least. "I should... go." He said, quietly enough that it might have been meant for himself. "It's been a pleasure." He tacked on.
