It's Friday, that means the weekend starts today, and needless to say, Hannah is excited.
She rushes home as quickly as she can once her final appointment is finished, and she rushes upstairs into the bedroom. She pulls a box of movies out from under the bed and a grin breaks out on her face.
Most people keep their movies in the living room with the rest of their movies, but Hannah is different. She likes to keep the Disney movies upstairs with her, so if they ever get robbed they're likely to stay safe. Though, she doesn't have just Disney movies in the box, she's also got several Pixar movies and a few classics.
She hears the door open and shut, and picks up the box and walks out of the bedroom.
"Dhian, is that you?" She calls.
It probably is, but hey, you can never be too sure.

It's Friday, and that means Dhian doesn't have to think about biology for the next... rest of the evening and two days. He has better, more, important things to think about than biology.
He drops his bag by the door, rolls his shoulders, and has little time to do much else before he's mobbed by the dogs, eager paws and sloppy kisses as he pets whatever patches of fur he can reach.
Hannah's voice carries from upstairs, and he grins at the sound of it. More important things to think of, like his wife. "Yeah, just me." He pushes (gently, of course) past the dogs towards the stairs, eager to see her. He sees her just about every day, but catching that first glimpse of her has yet to lose its novelty.

Hannah's face lights up when she hears Dhian's voice.
It's not like she didn't expect it to be him, the dogs would've started barking and she's sure at least one of them would've bit the intruder if it wasn't Dhian.
She puts the box of movies on the floor and and wipes her hands on her pants before getting a running start to practically jump Dhian as he gets to the top of the staircase.
"I missed you!" She says with a grin.

He scales the steps as quickly as he can manage - he's tired, the week has been long. He spots Hannah by the bedroom, the box in hand, though she's setting it aside and getting a running start, reaching him by the time he's at the top landing.
He grips the bannister, a moment, finding his balance and freeing up his arms to catch her in a hug. "I missed you too," Dhian says with a soft sigh - a relieved sigh - and then a kiss for a greeting.

Hannah smiles and returns the kiss before releasing Dhian from the hug.
"Do you have anything you need to do over the weekend?" She asks.
Hannah knows that with Dhian being a teacher, he sometimes has things to grade. Tests, exams, assignments, stuff similar. She gets that sometimes being a teacher is tough because you take work home with you sometimes, but she hopes he doesn't have any of that to do this weekend.
She's excited for this weekend. She's always excited for the weekend, especially movie night with Dhian. Anything with Dhian makes her excited really.
Some think it's dumb for her to be so excited to spend time with her husband, but between their two fulltime jobs and the voluntering Hannah does sometimes, it's hard to find time to hang out and enjoy each other's company.
"Do you wanna do movie night tonight?" She says. "Only if you're not too tired though."

"A bit." He says nonchalantly. Being a teacher isn't all that different from being a student, he's learned. He has work to do at home, work that he has every intention of putting off until the last minute. Lesson plans and grading are the last thing on his mind right now.
"Of course I do," Dhian was tired, but it wasn't as if lying in bed with his wife and a movie was anything particularly taxing. He fell asleep during the movies sometimes, but Hannah didn't seem to mind.
He makes his way to the bedroom, unbuttoning his shirt on the way, eager to change into something more comfortable than the shirts and dress slacks of his teacher wardrobe. "What are we watching first?"

Hannah isn't sure how to take a bit, but she figures it's a small amount that will not take a long period of time to complete. Or she hopes it is, she doesn't want her needs to get in the way of his work.
Work is important after all.
Another grin breaks out on Hannah's face when Dhian says he wants to do movie night!
She notes he sounds a little tired, but she figures he'll just fall asleep if he's too tired. She doesn't have a problem with it though, she likes just being in his company. Sleeping Dhian is still Dhian after all.
Hannah goes to pick up the box of movies and follows Dhian into their bedroom, she places the box on the bed and takes a seat next to it and starts to pick through movies.
"I'm not sure, it's a toss up between Lady and the Tramp and Up." She says, glancing up at him. "Do you have a preference?"

He can hear Hannah following, and he heads for the closet. The door is left ajar, Hannah is looking through the box - he'll be fine with whatever she decides. He tosses his clothes into the hamper and emerges in something more casual, crossing to the bed.
Sitting beside Hannah, he wraps his arms around her waist while he watches her sifting through movies, resting his head on her shoulder. Her hair tickles his cheek, and he loves the smell of it.
"I don't know, you in the mood for something sad?"
He's come to look forward to this, a chance to spend time together, because it doesn't feel like they get enough of it. They live together, but somehow there's always something or other getting in the way of things.

Hannah smiles when Dhian embraces her, but quirks her lip at his question.
"Hmmm," She says. "I'm always in the mood for something sad. Sad movies make me appreciate happiness more."
Hannah knows what he's just said is extremely cheesy, but it's the truth. You never truly learn to appreciate happiness until you've experienced heart-wrenching, tear-jerking sadness.
"By the way, where's Elenor?" She asks, she didn't hear the duck's quacking when Dhian came home.

He lets out a playful little scoff - though he supposes it's true. Dhian had never dreamed of being a teacher, but he felt happier than never now, happier than he had been as a student, and happier even than travelling and volunteering. Though, he was sure Hannah had something to do with that.
"In her pen." Ducks aren't the cleanest or quietest of pets, so they keep Eleanor in the yard (penned and safe from all potential predators) for the night. Sometimes she waddles around the house a bit first, but if he's particularly tired he puts her away once he gets home. And he's fairly tired tonight.
Not too tired for this though. "So, Up it is?" Dhian nods towards the DVD in her hand. They've both seen it plenty of times - they've seen every movie in that box more times than they can count, but there's nothing boring about seeing a good movie again, only a warmth and familiarity.

"Oh."
It makes sense to Hannah, Elenor can be a handful, but she's a gorgeous and amazing handful. Even if her quacking kept both her and Dhian up late one night, but mistakes happen and that was stopped before it happen again.
"Yes, Up it is!" She says with a grin.
Hannah moves out of Dhian's arms and towards the TV and DVD player in front of their bed. She turns the TV and the DVD player on, giving them a few seconds to load up and get ready. Once they're loaded, she opens up the DVD case for Up and opens the DVD drive, and places the DVD into the player and pushes the button so the little slider thingie goes back into the player.
She waits for a minute, letting the movie load before jumping onto the bed with a grin on her face. Her grin gets bigger when the 'Coming Soon' movies start to play.

He watches Hannah stand to put in the movie, for a moment, before he takes the movie box from the bed and pushes it underneath, to leave more room. He glances up as the movie loads, grinning back at Hannah as she comes back to the bed.
They settle side by side, and the previews start - they'll watch through them all, as always.
While they softly play in the background, Dhian holds back a yawn already.
"How was work?"

Hannah shrugs a bit with a small grin, "Same old, same old."
"A little girl brought in her kitten for a check-up, gosh, the little thing was so cute!
Hannah tried to keep her voice quiet and level, but whenever she talked about animals her heart raced and she got more excited than she should've. Animals were so wonderful though, especially well-behave, well-loved and fun animals.
"You should've seen how much chemistry the two of them had. It was bliss to see how well the little kitten listened to his owner." She said with a grin.

Hannah tries to sound nonchalant, but he can hear the excitement breaking through in her voice. He looks from the screen so he can see the smile, too. He loves her smile, whether it's because of him or not - just seeing her happy is enough to make his heart pound faster, the same nervous way it once had, before they were married.
"That's good." Dhian says earnestly, smiling and reaching for her hand, linking their fingers together. She loves animals and she loves her job, and Dhian knows sometimes it's hard to love animals as much as she does and have to see them suffer. Hopefully there was nothing of the sort today, though of course he isn't going to ask about it.

It's always good when owners and their animals get along. It's great when they do, these days, Hannah doesn't know many people who don't take good care of their animals though.
Hannah opens her mouth to say something, but the familiar voice of Carl Fredricksen floats into her ears and she closes it. She settles into her spot next to Dhian and goes quiet, for the rest of the movie.
And as the movie's credits start, a yawn escapes Hannah's lips as she glances over at Dhian, trying to figure out if he's awake or not.
