If perfection meant not being happy in his own skin, not being able to do what he wanted, or constantly fretting over what people thought about of him then it wasn’t worth it. He'd be happy to live his life perfectly imperfect. "You want to know the difference between me and Prince Charming?" he asked not-so-seriously, "I'm real, he's not. I don't need to be fake to be comfortable with my life."Elliott tensed up at her playful accusation. He shifted his blue eyes away for a moment. Embarrassed? Nope. Why would he ever be that way? "N-Nobody said anything about that!" Torin came to the rescue barking as a warning of his arrival. The black ball of fluff scampered over to Aralynn ready to receive petting and attention. How long has he had Torin? Now that he thought about it... "For a while. I can't remember the exact date, but I took him off the hands of a couple who couldn't keep him. They were the ones who trained him to behave without a leash... for the most part." He could’ve sworn he saw the puppy give him a sharp look. Very smart dog too.

Aralynn smiled at the musings of an honest young man. Living a life true to yourself. Stuff that was feed to them in cartoons, or in little series that connected them to characters of being thrown in real life situations. “You’re lucky in that sense then, friend. Not everyone accepts every fiber of their being. Always constantly striving to be even better.”… that was adorable. She chewed on her lower lip to prevent herself from giggling and damaging his pride. Torin proved to be a great distraction coming to her call, and letting her pet him. “They were fortunate enough to find somebody who’d give him as much love as they did before they had to let him go.” She looked back over to Elliott with a smile. He really was a pretty swell guy~ It was a pretty pleasant meeting today.

"It's cool to have a drive for constant improvement," he replied, "but I think it's best to remember that there's so much you can change before you lose what makes you... you." If that made any sense. It did in his head but explaining it didn't really work well. Just like there was so much compulsory education could offer before it got tiresome. So after getting through elementary, middle and high school – Elliott felt it was enough. The rest of the life experience he’d need would come from first-hand events. Wasting away his time with his nose in a textbook wasn’t his style. He smiled at the comment. Taking in the puppy was one of the best decisions he’s ever made. "Yeah, what can I say? He grew on me. Say, do you have any pets of your own?"

Was there such a thing as a perfect person? Somebody that all the people could fawn and revere in high regards? Aralynn enjoyed watching people seeing what they did, and how they behaved in a normal setting. Amusingly enough, what individuals considered normalcy differed from what is written in stories and common tales. What didn't change in these is the themes; they tended to stay the same. “We're only human in the end.” Something about his words clicked. If there was too much change then the foundation that remained would be lost forever. Nothing changed at all then it remained stagnant. That was a terrifying notion to behold. “Currently? I'm afraid that I don't. I used to when I was a child. My dad had the sweetest German Shepard who'd let me ride him when I was a little kid.” Aralynn didn't feel like she'd be capable of handling an animal. She had a difficult time as it is trying take care of herself on a daily basis.

Only human. Separated by their thoughts. Perfection was a sick joke for misguided souls to be skeletons with skin. Women to be objectified, and men were gloried assholes. Welcome to the modern century. Sarcasm aside, Torin began barking away wagging his tail happily in front of Elliott. At least animals were innocent of all evils. But even still the blond wondered at times. "Good breed for a family." Protective, good temperament. Come to think of it, he didn't realize how much of a dog lover he was until running into this woman. When he looked up to the sky, he noticed the skies were changing colors. It was already getting late already? He'll have to run home soon to get ready for the late rush at the pub. "Do you live close by?" he asked the greenette. "If you'd like, I can walk you home before we part ways."

Her gaze followed over to the same direction Elliott paid a glimpse. The shades of twilight illuminating the skies was a clear indicator of the time passing by. Lynn didn't even realize the seconds passing by! Nevertheless she was happy to have spent it making a new friend today. Not to mention he had a cute puppy to play with. She gave the dog owner a lit up expression over the offer to walk her home. A smile dancing upon her lips. “Rather kind of you. I can't refuse a strapping gentleman and a wonderful guard dog wishing me safe travels.” Aralynn took the lead towards the road that would take them to her house complex. She had to say the day turned out very swell. She hoped she would see more of her new friends in the future.
