Arlo almost offered to pay for the pizza, but Orion beat him to it and he didn't complain. He only felt a little bit guilty before Orion put the pizza on the counter and Arlo grabbed a piece, bit and grinned. It cheesy and greasy and everything a pizza should be.
"Y'know I think I had my first real pizza at your house." He said before taking another bite. Since his dad had started his demented health diet and moving to nova, Orion had been his first friend and it was his house that he'd had a real pizza. Of course he hadn't told his dad, but it was a pleasant memory that seemed appropriate to bring up.
He chewed thoughtfully and looked at Orion. "So... you're taking home leftovers, right?"

Orion smiled as Arlo brought up the memory, remembering it. It was a really, really long time ago, sometime shortly after Arlo had first moved to Nova. He came over to hang out at Orion's place and they had pizza, mostly because it was easy enough to just order it, and his mom was tired from working all day. It was nothing special to Orion, he'd had tons of pizza before, but he was glad that Arlo looked so fondly at the memory.
"That was a long time ago," he mused, getting lost in his thoughts momentarily until Arlo's question brought him back to earth.
"Yeah, I can take them," he nodded, understanding that if there was horrible, fattening, greasy pizza laying around, Arlo's dad would be ticked off. "Like having to take pizza home with me would be a bad thing," he added with a smirk, finishing off the slice he was working on.

Arlo nodded. "Thanks." He was more than relieved that Orion was here to take them home, but then again, he wouldn't be taking them home in the first place if it hadn't rained. Speaking of, the downpour had lessened considerably when he glanced out the window. It was still raining, but not enough so that they would be drenched again if they went outside.
"It's almost stopped raining." He mused.

As he was eating, he looked out the window to notice that the sky was clearing up considerably. Well, that would make the walk home much easier, unless it started to rain agian before he was ready to go home. Still, the sky was looking awfully clear.
The two boys spent quite a bit of time together, talking about nothing and eating the pizza. There were barely any leftovers left by the time Orion was ready to leave, but he took them home anyways and deposited the box in a dumpster along the way home. As much as it sucked having to leave to go do his homework, it had been a rather fun afternoon, even in spite of the rain.
