THE ASTEROIDS COLLIDE Angel looked smug - of course, Nevada couldn't make him do anything, they both knew it. This wasn't even about the coat any more, it was about not doing what Nevada wanted.
Just because he was rich and powerful didn't mean he owned Angel. He wanted a boyfriend, not a slave he could buy, and this was Angel's boyfriend experience.
He had always been this way, spiteful and angry and stubborn - and he didn't care to change it. It was just the way Angel was, and by this point Nevada should have been used to it. He said he loved Angel, and that came with a lot of defiance and conflict.
"This place's got shitty maintenance." He mumbled, crossing over to Nevada, reaching past him to smash at the buttons. He pressed them all, lighting up the panel, but making no difference in their predicament.
He just needed something to do. He couldn't sit still, and he couldn't stand to hear Nevada's stupid voice another minute longer.
"Shut. Up." He was right next to Nevada now, glaring up at him with clenched fists.

TRUE LOVE, TRUE LOVE | [attr="class","follwr"]Nevada could only endure so much of the blonde’s petulance before his stomach turned and he just wanted to get away from him. No matter how much he was loving and kind to him, he was only met with spite and malice. He cared about the irritating man, worrying when he was off in the cold without anything to keep him warm. Except, maybe the arms of another man that he knew Angel was going off to see. The thought sickened him and he preferred not to think about it. “You do nothing but fight me over even the pettiest of issues. …You hate me.” Nevada mumbled. “You will never have anything but contempt for me.” He sighed, dropping the coat to the ground. “Do what you want then. I do not care to argue anymore.” Angel had come close to him to mess with the buttons, but Nevada moved away to give them distance again. He kept his back to the blonde, hoping now that the elevator would move so he could get away. ANGEL ALESSI |

THE ASTEROIDS COLLIDE Angel stuck his tongue out at Nevada, though he had turned his back on him now, wasn't paying any attention. He didn't bother with any words of comfort – let Nevada know that he hated him and his pretentiousness, and his big fancy words and big fancy penthouse the way he acted like he was so much better than Angel.
This was probably one of the most expensive places to live on the island, yet the maintenance seemed no better than the run down apartments of Angel's childhood, where you ended up taking the stairs more often than not. Not even all Nevada's money and all of Angel's irritation could get the elevator moving.
Of course, neither had thought to bring a phone, and Angel had no idea how long had passed. Eventually he slid down to sit with his back against one of the walls. He drummed his fingers on the ground, nails tapping out a neurotic rhythm against the floor while he sat there in the cramped dark of the elevator with nobody but Nevada.
It felt like days had passed – he was acutely aware that he was hungry and thirsty and had to pee all at once, and he wondered if anybody had even noticed they were stuck. It was the private elevator to the penthouse, maybe nobody would think of them for days. Maybe the alert hadn't worked.
Angel could feel his heart beginning to race, his lungs seeming to shrink as small as this little black box dozens of stories up, he couldn't get enough air into them. It was stupid to panic, but his being aware of that didn't do much to calm his body, to deepen his shallow breathing.

TRUE LOVE, TRUE LOVE | [attr="class","follwr"]They had sat on opposite sides of the small space in silence for a while, even if Nevada couldn’t tell exactly how much time had gone by. Both his watch and his phone were in his bedroom, after all. He didn’t often carry either on him when he was home. It seemed rather pointless and he hadn’t planned to go anywhere. Now that he thought of it, he wished he grabbed his phone when he retrieved a coat for Angel. They wouldn’t have to wait for maintenance. How much longer would it be until they realized there was a problem with the elevator? Nevada couldn’t say, but he noticed that the wait was getting to his companion, who broke the prolonged silence with the drumming of his fingertips. “It is all right. The elevator is not just for the floor level and the penthouse. It stops at several floors. Someone is bound to realize it is not functioning.” Confined spaces like the elevator didn’t bother Nevada so much, but Angel was different. Nevada lifted himself up and moved over to sit beside Angel, arm coiling over his shoulder. “Are you afraid?” Angel was brought up on the world outside, living each day in the sunlit streets of the decaying neighborhoods. He never had to be cooped up inside. There was no comfort in it for him, unlike Nevada who was accustomed to it. The confined space of the elevator was no different to Nevada than his study, save for the absence of books. “I am sorry Angel.”ANGEL ALESSI |

THE ASTEROIDS COLLIDE Angel had his knees drawn up to his chest, curled into himself, fidgeting, but he was sure Nevada wasn't paying attention, surprised when he broke the silence. Before he could snarl at him to shut up, he realized that Nevada was trying to comfort him. He wanted to be angry about it, that Nevada thought he was so fragile he'd be undone by a stuck elevator.
But instead he sat still while Nevada draped an arm around his shoulders. His presence was comforting, and if he noticed Angel's pounding heart or uneasy fidgeting, or the way it seemed to ease, he didn't point either out. When he asked if he was afraid, Angel shook his head. "No." He wasn't going to admit it, though his tone seemed to do just that, sounding resigned, sounding tired.
He shifted where he sat, leaning into Nevada wordlessly - as close to an apology as he would get. coded by electric of gangnam style

TRUE LOVE, TRUE LOVE | [attr="class","follwr"]Although Angel denied his fear, it was apparent in the way his body shook under his arm and the way he curled into himself. It was even in his voice, which held no hints of the snarl Angel had been aiming at him since the elevator broke down. He could deny everything he wanted, but the blonde was no actor. His lies were fairly transparent, most of them anyways. But Nevada wouldn’t point it out. Instead, he would hold him close until the elevator moved again. It started back up faster than he would have liked. The lights flicked back on and it returned to its steady descent, after a stomach flipping jerk, as if it had never stopped. Nevada didn’t say ‘I told you so’. He remained seated on the floor beside Angel. The blonde was infuriating, but little moment like now made it worth it, no matter how short-lived they were. Angel was adorable when he let down his guard and let Nevada get close to him. “Please do not stay out too late.”ANGEL ALESSI |

THE ASTEROIDS COLLIDE He sighed, a sort of admit of defeat, or at least the calling of a truce. He was tired and he just wanted to be out of here, he didn't even care to stay mad. Nevada knew better than to acknowledge it, offering the silent comfort of his presence until the elevator began to move again.
Angel jumped, startled as the elevator lit back up, starting its smooth descent. He blinked against the sudden brightness, and as his eyes adjusted, he shrugged Nevada's arm off as he stood up, stretching.
He stuck his tongue out at Nevada's request, playfully now. Just before the elevator doors opened he scooped up the jacket on the ground, slinging it over his arm, though he didn't glance back at Nevada as he took it with him as he stepped out into the lobby. coded by electric of gangnam style
