| | | here i am a rabbit-hearted girl frozen in headlights it seems i've made the final sacrifice | It was another lazy day for Maribelle, which meant another day of retail therapy. Well, at least it wouldn't have been if she had much extra cash to spare, but a couple unfortunate (and unfortunately pricey) events had pretty much drained her wallet for the next month or two, leaving just enough to pay most of her bills -- though she still would have to make a phone call to her parents to ask for some extra money for the rest.
Even so, window shopping could be nice. She liked to think of it as preemptively planning what to buy next whenever she had the proper funds for it. Her job as waitress was pretty decent, but she had gotten very little work as a model, and she couldn't help but find that disheartening. Sure, the young woman knew that it would take some time to find some work, but she had pretty much gotten no offers at this point.
Maribelle stared dejectedly at her feet, kicking a lone rock along the sidewalk as she walked. The past week hadn't been very good to her, and looking at all the wonderful things she couldn't buy wasn't exactly helping. She thought if she could just get out of the house for a little bit, it'd lighten her spirits a little. Alas, it did nothing to alleviate her mood.
Finally glancing up, her blue eyes settled on a lovely little flower shop, and she paused for a minute. Flowers were nice and cheerful, right? Maybe she just needed to look at some pretty flowers for a little while to make herself feel better.
Smiling a little at that thought, Maribelle walked inside, glancing around at the array of flowers that were on display. There were so many brightly colored ones, and a variety of scents wafted through the air. She was feeling better already. Maribelle walked over to a bouquet that was composed of mostly light blue flowers, bending down to smell them a little.

The flowers that adorned the little shop were like her children; each little bud little petal little leaf needed their own kinds of attention. Petunia was very eager to serve - now that most of them were at the end of their lives Petunia wanted to see to them bringing joy in other people's lives, and not wilt and end up as compost.
Her long hair was tied up in a professional ponytail and she had just returned a bucket of flowers into the fridge. Spotting a potential customer, the girl scurried over to her with a small smile.
"Is there anything I can help you with Miss?" She beamed, smiling brightly with her hands held close together in front of her apron.

Maribelle hadn't seen the woman when she first walked in, and nearly jumped when she suddenly addresed her. She had been examining the flowers and wasn't really paying attetion to her surroundings all that much. The redhead turned and smiled a little in return at the woman, who was obviously the shopkeeper.
"Oh, I'm just browsing right now," she replied, glancing around the shop once more. There were pleny of beautiful flowers arranged beautifully, and she wondered if she should purchase a small bouquet for her home. Some fresh flowers would liven up her small apartment nicely.
"Umm, well, I wouldn't mind getting something small, actually," she said, turning back to the girl before her. | prima donna girl ♡ all i ever wanted was the world @petunia |

Petunia was just about to leave the customer to her own devices before her question. The blonde looked at her curiously, but wore a small smile on her lips. Always be nice, after all. Niceness brought customers! Her manager always liked to say that. The taller lady looked like a lovely person to talk to, and of course, a very lovely customer.
"Something small?" Petunia repeated, musing to herself, her posture now relaxing a little. "Do you mean, in flower size, or bouquet size? What would you intend your bouquet to be for?" She asked nicely, easily edging closer after another customer tried to squeese in behind her. She stared a little, expectant.

“Oh, well, I thought it’d be nice to have something to brighten up my apartment,” Maribelle replied with a smile, glancing over at a few more flowers. There were a variety of vibrant colors to choose from, and she could see a few bouquets that had already been arranged and were ready to buy as they were. The redhead turned back to the other girl.
“About how much would a small bouquet be?” she asked. “I don’t want to spend too much, y’know…” | prima donna girl ♡ all i ever wanted was the world @petunia |
